The cost of your time and energy used in criticising Mahama in this could maybe afford a borehole water supply temporary, isn't it? Mahama do neither manage Korle Bu nor Ghana Water Company, both have administrators who can be contacted for reasons because these companies have workers who receive wages. Why can't Ghanaians just think about their individual inabilities to perform than resorting to politics in all issues that are politically unrelated? What can yourselves do to help Korle Bu or Ghana Water Company than blaming the president. In the UK, we don't hear people blaming the prime minister for water shortage at Kings College Hospital. Why can't we use common sense approach and take responsibility? Blames do not solve problems Mr KD, common sense does.

Please, do not get me wrong of being "a cold hearted person". If Ghanaians vote for a government that is absolutely useless, reckless, pathetic and irresponsible, these things become quite obvious. Anytime people vote with their "stomach or on tribal lines or, harbor some deep hatred towards some people, we tend to vote for a clueless or truants to come to power.
How can this pathetic scenario happen in this age when some people are going to the moon? It so sad to see Ghanaians struggling to have things like water, electricity etc that has become part of every human being on this planet.
How can our premier hospital like Korle Bu experience something like this? I know some will counter by citing NPP but NDC promised to do better but it seems they are way off the radar.

This issue unfortunately is not even peculiar to just Korle Bu. Indeed, it covers very wide swaths of Accra and the country as a whole. So one begins to ask, where is the leadership? Where is the can do spirit and direction required of the NDC gov't? Where are the carefully planned programs and interventions by the NDC gov't in concert with the utility company to arrest the situation and prevent it's occurrence ever again? Where is the demonstrable ability and competence from the NDC gov't?
The NDC gov't led by John Mahama has demonstrated a huge inability at addressing the challenges and infact under their tenure, manageable problems have now spiraled out of control with no tangible remedial measures in sight. Gains that were made in the past decade are being eroded at the speed of light under a better Ghana, and e de bee k3k3 agenda. It is glaringly clear that, the NDC gov't has failed unequivocally and need to be shown the exit.
This Korle Bu water crisis is a public health hazard or epidemic waiting to happen with it's attendant health implications on our socio-economic development and growth and the altruistic posture of the NDC gov't as social democrats, has lost any sort of meaning in the face of such humongous and monumental challenges when juxtaposed against recent questionable transactions involving the NDC gov't's family and friends looting brigade, steeped in corruption and plain theft.

I was in Ghana in sept.2013 and witnessed an experience which will remain with me till my end of time. A church member of a church I'm the Patron of, had delivered a child at this hospital, and the authorities at the hospital had requested the father of the newly born infant to provide water for bathing the infant and the mother; I couldnt believe what else I was told of the unhygienic conditions that exist within the walls of this hospital; Not to mention nearly all the newborn infants were being nursed in a flimsy plastic sheets on the floor besides their mothers. This is not the Ghana Kwame Nkrumah gave to Ghanians.... No wonder majority of us choose to consider foreign shores as home. Minister of health hang your head in shame.

The 2000-bed capacity 90-year-old Korle Bu Teaching Hospital has been grappling with serious water problems for the past few days.
Doctors, Nurses and other staff of the hospital, as well as patients are bearing the brunt of the acute water shortage.
They worry the problem could result in outbreak of cholera.
The situation is so serious that relatives of patients are barred from using the hospital’s toilets.
Some of the visitors have complained of grave inconveniences.
The management of the hospital has attributed the water shortage to erratic supply and said it is currently relying on private water tankers for interim supply.
Established on October 9, 1923, the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital has out-grown its initial capacity by 1000 percent.
It is currently the third largest hospital in Africa and the leading national referral centre in Ghana.
At the moment, Korle Bu has 17 clinical and diagnostic Departments/Units.
It has an average daily attendance of 1,500 patients and about 250 patient admissions.
