  under proper management this is a really good business. In Singapore and Dubai for example,bunkering is really big business. But like typical Ghanaians the GBS has managed to take a good business and mess it up. Bunkering is paid in dollars, so why don't they have money to invest. The simple fact is corruption. I can bet my bottom dollar that Ghanians in the company will device ways to ensure they don't account for bunkers. Let some private people into the business else we will one day have no bunkering here at all. What shame!

  Whoever put up this story has no facts about GBS.Goil is not the sole share holder of GBS.This is coming from a realible source and can tell whoever put up the story that GBS is not declining.rather, measures are beening put in place for a total restructure of the place.If BFT wants to know more about GBS they should rather contact the owners of the company rather than engaging themselves with an employee who does not know the decisions management has taken.This is 100% reliable source information.

  I simply do not understand why our own Government takes over foreign companies, usually profitable ones that have been making profit for their investors only to turn the companies into bankruptcies after some few years under Ghanaian management. Why, oh why do that happen. I would like somebody to explain it to me. May be some people know something I don't know about, regarding the cause of the under performance of the Ghanaian management. One thing for sure that I know about and hear from people I casually talked to about the problem is that, the Ghanaian management is corrupt and rotten right from the top to the bottom.
  Honestly, I don't take that blanket statement as Godly true because I know some Ghanaian managers who are against any forms of corruption, very honest from my perspective and are determined to make their companies profitable, the best companies and the best companies to work for. To their credit, those companies are making strides and progress and good returns on investments for their investors. However, there are some managers who because of their political affiliation and political friends don't give a darn thing about the companies they happen to manage. They don't care because they know that whatever happens to their companies, they will not be held responsible and will always go scot-free.
  That kind of attitude is absurd and only hardships for most Ghanaians.
