Look, the money left for Ghana by our colonial masters was for Ghana only and not to cater for Africa. Efo, do you get that? Why was he Nkrumah using that money to support freedom fighters across the African continent? Does it make sense? Who gave him that authority?

A good leader if he was, would have laid a solid and an uncompromising foundation of the nation to stand the test of time. If he was a good leader, that is fine but we should remember that we do not elect a stupid leader who would come and knock our heads together and fumble badly.

Nkrumah was a good leader but he veered off road and that is the problem I have with him. His quest to unite Africa at a time he knew was impossible, smacks logic and some of our monies was used in that venture.

During his reign, how many Ghanaians even understand what he was doing or who can dig deep and come out with questions regarding some of his policies? Some people claim that they don't like President Kufuor, I say he's a smart man because after leading Ghana for 8 years, he publicly stated that in order for Ghana and Africa to move forward, President Nkrumah's 7 year development program must be implemented.

Nana took a page out of one of the Great One's books and called for free education on whatever level, Nana and President Kufuor, are intelligent leaders who have embraced Osagyefo's ideas, even though they belong to a different political party, age and experience are bringing them home, while idiotic tongue waggers remain on the loose and roaming the web

All the same i believed at this point of Ghana's developmet the NPP has what it takes to move the nation forward than any other political party on the scene. Im speaking with a very open mind view in truth which others may disagree with but its all good.

I think Nkrumah was a visionary politician but overtly abitious in trying to accomplish goals that were not achieveable at that time and neither are those achievable goals now especially African Unity. In a haste to prove that the African was capable he kicked out the European. He forgot that the exposure and vision he had at the time was very scarce on the continent and in Ghana.

Hence the collapse of everything once he fell of the scene. That is where i find myself siding with the Danqua/Busia fraternity who on the other hand believed that what was needed at the time should have been a graudual power transfer to Ghanaians since we were so new to the entire idea of nationhood.

Nkrumah was a visionary but over ambitious to the reality and the challenges Africa faces at the time and now. He started well but failed miserably.

African can be developed in the long term without depending on Western technology as in China. China planned for 50 years to reach this far.

According to Kwame Nkrumah, in order for Ghana and Africa to develop, there must be a technological base. Nkrumah established University of Science and Technology- KNUST- for that purpose. For 50 years in KNUST's existence how many Technocrats and Scientists have they produced so that Ghana can stop buying industrial goods from the West?. We still buy common pencils, matches, needles from abroad. We even buy materials from abroad to make plastic cups. We still buy silk and cotton to weave our Kente cloths.

I am not writing an article but commenting on one, therefore I will end here.
UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY is a waiste and must be shut down or invite the Chinese to run it.
Le us praise Nkrumah for his vision which was cut short by tribal hatred.

Second, NDC is the government that has caused the greatest damage to Nkrumah's legacy. Over 300 industrial enterprises destroyed! That's why university graduates in Ghana have no jobs to look forward to, and why "buy and sell" is the only other option left for the vast majority of people. Even the state farms which could have been given to the unemployed were looted or sold by different military regimes including the P/NDC. Hypocrisy is the virtue of Aidoo and other NDC crooks. Their lies stares them in the face. What positive thing has Aidoo accomplished in Nkrumah's name for him to accuse the rest of us of not having a "philosophical foundation." The only philosophical foundation Aidoo and his NDC gang of looters have is thievery of national resources!

blabbing can be done by anyone. as head of monitoring and evaluation at the presidency what concrete contributions did he make to our educational system given the fact that he has been a key player in the educational sector.

citing reasons why things did not work or are working has been all that we do. in our textbooks, daily news papers, public lectures just name them it is all about challenges.

i'm patiently waiting for the day when the news will be that we "have overcome this or that" and not "these are the reasons why we are not succeeding".

and for Christ's sake we all know the problems that is why we are paying you guys relatively huge and fat salaries to help solve them.

Some of us thought that the so-called moral revolution in the 80`s should have been industrial revolution, for no human being can change the moral fibre of another except CHRIST. Here we are, after many years of moral revolution we are still fighting corruption. We are from Kalabule which graduated to corruption which also graduated to 419 and now it is Sakawa. But we are still fighting corruption. I call it negative rate of relative development. With the rate at which we develop here, we can only catch with West just as the world comes to an end
