It is a pity that our educational leaders have have not come out with any meaningful ways to arrest the deficiencies in our educational trainings. How on earth do we pick and choose courses and programs for students without considering their natural interests and abilities. One of my cousins whose interest was in science was assigned to take "DONDOLOGY' at Legon. Nonesense! Today, he is a medical doctor in Washington DC after refusing the Legon offer and enrolling at John Hopkins university. We need career counselors truly in our institutions back home.

3) Prosecute white collar crimes to make the area unattractive for those seeking quick money
4) Show case local entrepreneurs at the village and hamlet levels
5) Discourage the importation of things that can be locally produced. Eg sugar, rice, textile, etc.

Where are the jobs? Sorry, but jobs are not beeing generated period. Even if the graduates are trained porperly, there are no jobs to absorb them. That has to be addressed first.

COUNSELING IS VERY IMPORTANT AT SCHOOLS, SECONDARY AND HIGHER INSTITUTIONS.
AND AS YOU ARE AWARE, UNIVERSITIES ARE TRANSMITTERS OF KNOWLEDGE IN THE INNOVATION, TECHNOLOGY, CREATIVITY AND THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF A NATION.
HAVE OUR EDUCATED MEN AND WOMEN STRIVED TO ACHIEVE THESE GOALS.
WHAT DEMANDS OF THE MARKET ARE YOU STRESSING AND WHAT IS THAT KIND OF COLLABORATION YOU WANT TO SEE BETWEEN INDUSTRY AND ACADEMIA.
HOW MANY DYNNAMIC INDUSTRIES,MANUFACTURING AND PROCESSING PLANTS ARE IN GHANA.
AS A MATTER OF GENTLLE COURTESY,DO THE SO CALLED EDUCATED IN GHANA HAD THE ABILITY TO DELIVEWR IN SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY TO PROMOTE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND TO TRANSFOIRM THE NATION TO PROSPERITY.
LET US STOP THESE THEORIES AND TO KNOW WHY WE CONTINUE TO BE BACKWARD, UNDEDEVELOPED AND EXTREME POOR
