The insult to the intelligence of the masses by this recklessly corrupt John Mahama administration is legendary. How do you strengthen institutions when those who have been found culpable in the very acts of corruption are promoted to man institutions and even tasked to retrieve the spoils of the very corrupt acts they presided over and defended? Just two examples would suffice. Barton Odro was the Dep. Ag, when Woyome hit the vaults of the national kitty carting away, 52million cedis equivalent to about 30million dollars. He is currently the Dep. Majority Speaker of the House of Parliament and at the height of Ghanaians condemnation of the recklessness of the Woyome thievery, he was made the head of a body in Parliament to draft a working document to address the very issue, which from all evidence available, showed that he was one of the operational architects, with the backing of the Presidency, to aid the heist perpetrated by Woyome on the national kitty.
The current Ag. Brew Appiah a law partner of Tony Lithur was defending the loot occasioned by Waterville and AustroInvest which also led to Ghana losing millions of dollars, and now this same Ag. is being tasked to retrieve the loot, jokes if you ask me.
Just one example again, would suffice and this is a kicker. The present loot of merchant bank again has the law firm of the same Lithur/Brew Appiah thick in the scheme of affairs. One of the majority shareholders of Fortiz Equity, the entity that has acquired Merchant bank Hedo, Angelina is also at the Brew/Lithur law firm which has one of the partners of the law firm ie Tony Lithur being the attorney for Fortiz Equity the fund acquiring Merchant bank, the attorney for the President's brother Ibrahim Mahama, whose singular debt obligation to merchant bank has brought the bank to it's knees with no attempt to retrieve the debt, after Ghanaians were made to understand that, by the 20th of December 2013, the debt owed merchant bank by E&P, would have been defrayed improving the liquidity profile of the bank, and therefore raising the value position of the bank, and again this same lawyer was the attorney for the President in the just ended election challenge to his legitimacy and credibility as a validly elected President. The laws, institutions and resources are there, but when the looting is orchestrated right from the top, then I'm afraid, what Ghanaians are experiencing now, is not going away anytime soon with it's attendant effects on the development aspirations of the country.
There's absolutely no confidence in the NDC gov't headed by John Mahama to stem the tide of their own created corruption schemes let alone have the competence to address the humongous development failures and difficulties facing the country, and the only solution out of this is for them to be voted out in 2016.

Mahama should taking the log out of his own eye before looking at the splinters in others.
He has never been serious about corruption the election disgrace being a prime example.
