Someone may disagree with me but frankly speaking the church leadership in Ghanaian is loosing the scriptural credibility they once held. I don't mind pastors sharing their personal views on politics, but people see those views differently when personal opinions are expressed in pulpits.
One would not by this platform undermine some successes chalked by some men of God in their endeavours be it prosperity or salvation preaching. However, the church leadership in Ghana in general has underperformed to bring the moral change needed by Ghanaian to develop as the hold the keys for moral change. I say this without any historical reference for now, that when the western countries received the Gospel of Jesus Christ the church leadership managed to influence and changed their society for the better. They expanded and helped build a conscience of rule of law and order in their society with God's Word to the extent of ensuring that many basic principles in their constitutions emanated from the scriptures eg marriage, social benefits, etc. The first time I came to live in the UK, they was no check barriers at train stations, but any time inspectors come all passengers have paid before boarding and, in my experience certain times when someone had to be caught the person in many cases might be either foreigner or have foreign origin.
I by no means seek to distinguish some people as racially better than others, no! Because they also have their shortcoming particularly in issues with their external relations with the global world. But in our case, since the church leadership could not do what the "Wesleys and co" could by pushing away major resistance of original indigenous idol worshipping and in some cases tend to integrate or compromise with them, the church in this sense arguably failed to effect a change. I stand to be corrected but I blame the church leadership for this.
With Christian prosperity taking the place of moral scriptural teachings because that's what many believers for poverty reasons would want to hear, current believers do not for much disseminate the moral and legal ingredients needed to deal with corruption due to moral weaknesses in the churches today.
It sickening to see evidences of widespread corruption and decay in Ghanaian churches themselves. Churches are no longer transparent with church finances and/or pursuing God's actual instructions regarding the collection of tithes, offerings, dues or whatever. Let external auditors visit some of these social or political critic pastors' churches and see if they themselves would not be found wanting?
For this reason, being a Christian I believe that despite churches are charities it is illegal and many times criminal offence for any trustee or church official to mismanage church finance. As a result, churches should be made to publish to members their financial accounts and achievements of set objectives by law in order to weed out dodgy stuffs harboured in churches in relations to scriptures. This may help eradicate 'business churches' and pave the way for salvation and moral seeds to grow and rid our society of ills of corruption and decay.

35. That, government should be commended for tasking the Attorney General and Minister of Justice to secure refunds of monies wrongfully paid to or appropriated by any individuals or companies from contracts with SADA, GYEEDA and the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), and to retrieve the monies wrongfully paid to Waterville and Isofoton as Judgement Debts;
38. That, government comes public on the status of its promise to retrieve monies wrongfully paid to Waterville and Isofoton as judgment debts, and from contracts with SADA, GYEEDA and GRA;
I realised that the judgement debt issues is very important for Christian council of Churches. That is why it was mentioned in numbers 35 and 38. However, they have not mentioned anything on the Most Criminal nature of how the Drillship was sold and hidden from the state. Why can't the CCC say that the Government should be commended for discovering the sale of the drillship whip outcome was shared by the sellers?
I just cannot understand why the CCC did not include the sale of the
Drillship which is undergoing investigation but mentioned the others. The sale of the drillship is the most corrupt ever in Ghana's History. It was a well planned and hidden from the country. Why can't the CCC encourage the government to look for the documents of the drillship sale? When you want to deal with issues of judgement debt, I cannot understand why you left this out. You should condemn the burning of Old Parliament house which house the evidence and matters arising from the sale of the drillship.
This would bring some credibility to your communique.
Why are you talking about the dwindling fortunes of Tobinco? This is a company that import fake drugs that killed many Ghanaians. I think you should rather call for the closure of Tobinco and severe punish on the owner of Tobinco who imported these fake drugs. You took side in terms of your communique. As Christians, let us not support the killers and the most corrupt judgement debts issues. I know your exclusion of the sale of the drillship is neither omission nor oversight. It is an attempt to support those involved. With this we know where you are. Do not pretend to be a voice that speaks for the nation since you have taken side.

OUT OF YOUR 72 THESIS ONLY 2 REFER TO THE CHURCH DIRECTLY. THINGS LIKE YOU WILL CONTINUE TO PRAY ARE VAGUE RESOLUTIONS BECAUSE YOUR PRAYERS WILL NOT BE ANSWERED.
MY DEAR REVERENDS WHAT YOU NEED IS A COMPLETE OVERHAUL OF THE CHURCH TO DEVELOP A NEW TYPE OF CHRISTIAN.
THIS NEW TYPE OF CHRISTIAN SHOULD NOT ONLY SEE CORRUPTION, NEPOTISM, TRIBALISM AS EVIL BUT AS DEADLY SINS.
SECONDLY WE WANT NEW CHRISTIANS WHO WILL LIVE BY THE VALUES OF THE CHURCH 24HRS, 7 DAYS AND NOT ONLY BE PIOUS DURING CHURCH SERVICES ON SUNDAY BUT SPEND THE REST OF THE WEEK COMMITTING CRIMES AGAINST THE STATE.
THEY THEN WAIT TILL THE NEXT SUNDAY AND GO PLEADING FOR FORGIVENESS.
IF THESE SO CALLED CHRISTIANS DO NOT CHANGE THEIR ATTITUDES THEN THE CHRISTIAN COUNCIL IS WASTING ITS TIME IN WRITING THE LONG THESIS IT HAS PUT OUT.

It is good for the Christian council to come out with such laudable ideas but is it not too late? Why leave it too late? I think most of the problems we have in Ghana is lack of good and dedicated leadership, our leaders have been put in political positions by people who demand s much from them. Most of Our institutions are corrupt and lack direction. I think that there are no checks and balances and so people do what they want. politicians sell government properties to or among themselves and have no moral rights to stop this morally wrong behaviour. Politicians pay themselves exgratia awards and drain the covers of the country. lots of misplaced priorities, most of the contractor work for or affiliated to political parties and thus leading to very poor road and buildings being constructed all over the country. The only way we can stop this form of madness is to report to institutions that function but do we have the IGP been appointed by the government then how can he be able to function properly? Most of these heads of the security heads must be appointed by independent bodies, in this way they will be accountable to them but not to government. I think that our parliament is even more partisan and cant not bite. They only speak for themselves, where lies objectivity and credibility? Too many wrongs in our country. who can fix it? Most politicians spend lots of money when in opposition campaigning and will like to recoupe what they have spend and even make more for the future, when in power and so the cycle goes on. How can a sitting president sit in a meeting involving his blood brother? Never in the UK, US. only in Africa will this happen. Christian council I think must sit up and police the country properly. Ghanaians deserve better from our leaders.
These NPP agents should go for party positions and stop pretending
