EXAMPLE IS, IF PRODUCTS ARE MODIFIED, THE FARMERS ARE OBLIGED TO BUY THE CHEMICALS (PRODUCED BY THIS SAME WHITE MAN) AT A HIGH COST TO USE IN THEIR FARM PRODUCTS. THIS AFFECT THE COLOUR, THE TASTE, THE QUANTITY, ETC. ASK ANYONE IN EUROPE, THE TASTE OF A CHICKEN WHICH BREEDERS USED GMO FOOD TO A) CREATE AND B) FEED THEM, DON'T HAVE ANY TASTE!!

Our representatives must say no in unison to GMO foods. This is national security issue and not some kind of game. Your yams, plantains, cocoyam, etc. will soon taste like mud and disease-bearing. This ploy is to only cripple our local farmers to their deaths. Besides this type of foods smell so badly after taking it off fire for 30 minutes and it's tasteless. I am saying this from experience and not some kind of hearsay. I try to buy organic food whenever possible if I can afford. While they yearn for organic foods from lands like ours and other parts of Africa they propose poison-infested seeds for us. Only by some miracle that we still survive unafflicted by cancer or some kind of deadly ailment to our deaths. Most have died as a result, however. We cannot share, keep, etc. our natural seeds that yield tasty and wholesome foods but must only buy from them. What kind of contract is that? Why should we throw away our natural, wholesome seeds? Why should we sell our land at last and its sovereignty handed to us by our grandparents to outside people? Of all the contracts and agreements signed with them how many have benefitted us ranging from minerals to education? They have only led to depletion of our lands and brainwashing. This is what they have always done to us. So they keep prospering while we stunt. Where is the poor farmer going to get money to buy those poisonous seeds? There is so much to be said here that I can't at this juncture. There are so many diseases here that we have never heard of or seen and can't afford to bear in our land because of this GMO foods. Please resist and protect our safety vehemently.

As if that is not enough,GM food is coming to flood our markets and only few people (especially Oheneba of Oman fm) are challenging its introduction into the country. Parliamentarians are not scientist to to evaluate and pass this bill. Let's leave it to the scientists and the court of social justice the make better evaluation. Only God knows how much harm certain vaccines have caused this country while our scientists sit and look.

Apart form health problems, the peasant farmer we intend to help get more from his/her farm would not be able to farm at all because of his/her dependent on multinational developed seed and chemicals.

Our farmers were not told that they will forever be reliant on fertilizer and could never again farm and harvest on natural soil without fertilizer. This was in the 1970s. Here we come again with the last blow to our survival as a people and a nation. GENETIC MANIPULATED Farming. Please, let us at least depend on our natural seedlings and our local farming practices for the inheritance of our children and grand children. Ghana does not need any modernization in our food production process. Fertilizer is already a product we can no longer do without despite the cost we are paying as a country.
