in our country the voice of reason can not be heard as the decision makers , stakeholders and politics are so polarized through tribalism and other mud slinging propaganda that the truth and common sense have become irrelevant . the ministry of agric is notorious for the the fact that the minister and chief director there are the most corrupt callous characters in the govt today. every nation that has achieved development has put in checks and balances that rectify mistakes or evil tendencies , our leaders first make sure these checks and balances are eliminated whether by declaring president for life or one party states like nkrumah did or by putting strange immunity or indemnity clauses in the constitution like rawlings did. if there is no accountability there can be responsibility and a vicious circle of corruption , disunity and open crimes are committed but none of this ruling oligarchy will ever be made to pay for their atrocities. our country and her citizens produce tens of billions but poverty is the daily lot of most of our citizens as the system of divide and rule has been perfected , our gold and other natural resources leave the country but no a single dollar comes back to benefit our people , our diaspora of over 10 to 15 million is not involved in development rather when they come they are financially raped by all from their own relatives with ridiculous demands for electronic gadgets and school fees to the state organized mafia institutions with tribally biased evil agendas . a nation not unified or focused on matters of national importance are doomed to failure . the quiet majority are being exploited and raped on a daily basis but due to the govt sponsored propaganda and lies are unable to see things clearly and act . yes we have a hopeless depressing future ahead due to our own laziness , non action and cowardice of thought. nobody is interested in investigating the truth for themselves or even questioning the most obvious crimes. jj has proclaimed k4 a corrupt individual yet after superpowers investigated they rewarded him by appointing him special envoy , jj will not go to jail for his false declaration rather in the madness and with his tribal homogenous support will be declared a hero and not for inciting hatred against another leader who will most likely end up in a pool of blood like mills .the tragedy is far from over as mahama and his lies only continue this trend , mr all talk and no action is busy taking us on another jolly ride to despair and hopelessness . the only solution is a cleansing war or revolution which will ensure that the country is divided up so we all get a fresh start , no point in fixing whats too broken to repair

Why should people be going to accra to get money from govt, when the work their did was in kumasi.
Every region district constituency should have its own budget and plans before money is pass to that region.
No contract work should be given to anybody without the money been voted for and in the regions account in the region.
Kufuor is very right, its looks as if only in accra you can get money from the govt.. Spreading ghana wealth should go to the people where they live and work not only in accra.
Which ever office in accra, there should be one in every region.
Accra is a national head office and accra region should have its regional office like any other region.
These corruption come about because those in the region, when money is voted for the region the money stops in accra and the work it was suppose to is never done.
We have to know how much every region gets from the govt and what the money is for. Freedom of information should not be ask by anybody, it should be published openly every month on the web as to everybody to see.
How much is been spend to create dams in the three northern regions, lots of millions yet you cant see one in the regions. Acct general dept has lots to answer. The most corrupt office in the whole of ghana. They are the people who cover up these stealing party members, to steal from the regions.
Things that are suppose to go to the regions are diverted and the money goes to the pockets. Cement, fuel and fertilizer are the common one.

A constitutional arrangement that has changed very,very little since the colonial era one that was operated by the colonial governor Mr Guggisburg, who at the time saw most of us as block heads who could not apply our brains to anything development.But in the 21st Century,if our Constitution can be so flawed and loaded with so much powers to the President and his executive, why should anyone wonder why they treat us as little babies,or talk to us as block heads instead of the other way around where they must understand that the powers given them are just an opportunity to serve the masses of our people? Sometimes I cannot help but think that the elite leadership across Africa find this constitutional arrangement an advantage and sure way to empower themselves legally to lord it absolutely over the poor masses of our people and thereby control our economic resources to the benefit
of themselves and their families..What should we expect of a President and executive that wields every power on earth that unfortunately make them feel so swollen headed that in their dreams they feel they are even over and above the laws that equally govern
us all. In Ghana and across Africa our Presidents appoint almost everything you can think of ,no wonder this flawed process leads to the creation of so many Sycophants and stomach politicians in our system,and even stomach Journalists whose duty is supposed to stand on behalf of the people to watch the executive. When you find J.J Rawlings of all people metamorphose into something else-a stomach politician,who these days will look the other way when he sees our scant resources been pillaged and looted left,right and centre all for fear of a backlash of a barrage of insults from powers that be and babies with sharp teeth on quote.Now in Ghana all we can do it seems, is to vote in the next government only to repeat the same rotten system.Its really scary to see a President that people see as a father Christmas who has so much authority over the providing of all kinds of goodies. The President's power and influence including that of his family especially his wife to appoint or influence the selection of leaders of local governments,district,municipal,
regional and national government.This President's hands stretch to almost every aspect of our national life,living the people powerless and helpless to check and balance up these absolute powers that he seems to weild.Will people pay attention to Dr Paa Kwesi Nduom,who has suggested on countless times to axe some of the powers for the selection of Mayors of our Regional Capitals, Districts and even those of our Towns and Villages in order to give power back to the people.These days it has become fashionable to see all kinds of people kiss the ass of the President or the First Lady or find an opportunity to criticise them,and the next day they have a promotion or given a juicy governmental appointment just for being an ass hole and a sycophant.I thought NPP ,during times in the opposition will take up some of these problems and to imlplement solutions when they come to power,but no, they complain till they are in power but do nothing about it.I hope they are listening as government in waiting.We expext many amendments in the constitution to curb the powers of the executive to rid our country of sycophancy and corruption that is thwarting the positive development of our country.

Ex-president Kuffuor is right about the urgent need to encourage the rapid expansion of the private sector.The private sector is the area that can create jobs for the unemployed, increase tax revenues for the government to accelerate development and reduce poverty in the country.The government must lay more emphasis on creating the environment that will let the private sector expand and flourish for it to be able to play an effective role in the economic development of the country.The government can never be the biggest employer in Ghana but the private sector can and must be supported and encouraged to do that.

Everything John Mahama done so far shows that he's a hypocrite. Opnanin-pa Kuffour, I hope you remember when the NDC accused you and your govt. of corruption etc. promising to jail you. Now everyone knows that John Mahama-led NDC are th biggest "tiiifs" in Ghana and probably the whole Africa. Looking at the declining economic situation, John Mahama has to be impeached a.s.a.p. He doesn't have any ideas at all, to help make life better for everyone.

I also believe you'll make time to educate Ghanaians the need to boot Mahama and his corrupt govt. out of office in 2016.

All Ghana needs now is for another coup d'etat to happen and 'wipe-off' all the nation wreckers and return the country to a fresh start. This "recycle system" is the only scheme that will work to put the fear of God in our leaders. Our judicial system is corrupt and pretty much every leader out there believes they are above the law. I personally believe coup d'etat despite its primitiveness can have a +ve impact on the development of africa if the military come in with the intent of demanding accountability and 'punishing' the leaders who are looting the nation's coffers and believe they are above the law.
I however, will not want the military to stay in power after the clean up is done.
It should be swift with kangaroo courts setup to investigate reported and widely known looting and crimes. Then once the "clean-up" is completed, the military will hand over the govt to a democratically elected govt, all within a year.
This is the only scheme that will make these buffoons think twice before they wreck the country.
I think we need this in the absence of any working solution to stop corruption. Let me know if you support this idea.
