THE TRUTH ABOUT YUROBAS IN NIGERIA AND EVERYWHERE: BE CAREFUL ABOUT THEM
Yurobas like marijuana and occult. Do you know that I don’t cook with palm oil because I associate the cholesterol-packed reddish poison with iba (malarial fever). I am beginning to like some Yorubas but I could never stomach their fetish and sneaky behavior, prostrations, and bowing down to kiss the dirt. Although Awolowo gave them a head start in Federal Government corporate allocation and banking industry, Yorubas have stolen and sold off Nigeria's lucrative ventures. They lack the industriousness of the Igbos, the agribusiness of the Tivs, and the good naturalness of the Idomas. Aren’t the Yorubas something else? Hahahaha. Speaking of Chief Awo, it is funny the Yorubas changed that man’s name from Awolowo to Awo in their haste to deify mere mortal and clothe the man with the garb of immortality. Why does the Yoruba god’s name remind me of awo (Igbo word for the ugly, revolting toad that nobody but the Yorubas use in making potent poisons)? It could have been better had Yorubas been less insulting and kind enough to change their man’s name to mbala (Igbo name for toad’s more beautiful cousin, edible frog).
TESTIMONY BY A FRIEND OF AN ENCOUNTER A YUROBA>>>
My initial assessments of the Yorubas had left a bitter taste in my mouth. The first Nigerian to rob me in Atlanta was a Yoruba man who owned a used car lot and masqueraded as a mechanic. With pseudo politeness, this Yoruba man would pester me with “Yes, Sir, Professor. Yes, Sir; Oga, Sir; Mazi; Chief; Dr Sir, and Sir.” I fell for this man’s flattery as one-eyed fool. He took $245 from me for a used Honda engine which he said was stored at a location on Old National Hwy and which he never delivered. He avoided me like a poison until I caught up with him, and then he kept promising more and eventually closed his shop and disappeared. Did the earth open up to swallow him? Did it engulf him into its sweltering bowels? . I hope my $245 turned into $1,000,000 for him so he would thank his witch doctor for providing him with effective charms that fooled a highly educated Igbo man. Hahaha.
MORE TRUTHS ABOUT EVIL TRIBE YUROBA
The Yorubas are something else, for they have distinguished themselves as fomenters of troubles and crises in Nigeria since time immemorial. Yorubas have more lawyers than all the other tribes put together, and their lawyers write petitions to oppose anything they smell as having injustice against Yorubas. Remember the Mid-West crisis; Awolowo’s stockpiling weapons of mass destruction to earn a treasonable felony conviction; and the Akintola problems ending in the death of a son. What would have happened had god Awo succeeded in toppling the Federal Republic of Nigeria? Nigeria’s name would have been changed to Owambeland or Oduduwala. The Igbos could have been exiled forever Now, you see why Yorubas are angry with Igbos for pulling off the Republic of Biafra and succeeding where their god Awo had failed At least, Republic of Biafra once was and is still in the minds of millions, while Owambeland or Oduduwala never was and may never happen unless dead Biafran children’s prediction comes true. Know why the Yorubas are Nigeria’s most hateful tribe?
We used to trade stories about this Yoruba man from Ijebu Ode who took an Igboman to meet his daughter whom the Igbo wanted for a wife; how Mgbati turned Anyamiri into a black goat which he took to the market for sale after deciding that having Naira was more important than having Yorigbo grandchildren. Yorubas have the persecution mentality which enables them to always cry foul play and marginalization when they fail to get what they covet. Like the chameleon, the Yorubas can change skin color at will and can vacillate at random between Christian and muslim worlds whenever the spirit hits them. The vacillation is akin to the abracadabra of a sworn homosexual who might screw a man today, a woman tomorrow, or an animal the next time. You never could tell. According to Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Yorubas are the problem with Nigeria, as Sanusi’s words attest:
In sum, the Yoruba political leadership, as mentioned by Balarabe Musa, has shown itself over the years to be incapable of rising above narrow tribal interests and reciprocating goodwill from other sections of the country by treating other groups with respect. Practically every crisis in Nigeria since independence has its roots in this attitude.( Via Elombah.com 05/25/2009 -11.01).
The Yorubas are a people choking in the vomit they have created with hatred and fear of the Igbos. They envy the Igbos who have done the impossible – standing up to their enemies; and exercising their inalienable rights to self preservation. As cowardly and sheepishly docile as Yorubas are , Yorubas are a spineless people unable to stand up for a justifiable cause other than to fish in troubled water in search of decomposed leftovers. They are overjoyed the Igbos lost the Biafran War which afforded Yorubas the opportunity to scramble for “abandoned” Igbo belongings and misplaced Federal pieces of property they quickly pilfered with the blessings of Awolowo whom the Yorubas consider god of money, but whom I crown with title “Devourer of Dead Children.” Yorubas cannot fight but would run into juju shrines with human body parts in search of protective charms. What a group of superstitious bushmen! Lamido Sanusi continues:
The Igbo people of Nigeria have made a mark in the history of this nation. They led the first successful military coup which eliminated the Military and Political leaders of other regions while letting off Igbo leaders. Nwafor Orizu, then Senate President, in consultation with President Azikiwe, subverted the constitution and handed over power to Aguiyi-Ironsi. Subsequent developments, including attempts at humiliating other peoples, led to the counter-coup and later the civil war. The Igbos themselves must acknowledge that they have a large part of the blame for shattering the unity of Nigeria.
YUROBA CANNIBALISM>>>
What concerns me the most about the Yorubas is the degree of trade in human body parts that goes on in the West. Have you read the news of two Yoruba brothers who killed their third brother and were selling his body parts piece by piece? Their mother had been missing for three years and neighbors believed the hideous boys had eaten Mom or sold her parts, including suckling breasts and vagina, to witch doctors for the making of ogwu ego (medicine for money). Had the two brothers not been arrested, one would eventually kill the other, so the winner would attempt to beat the Igbo in accumulating the largest amount of money the world could only imagine. Hey, did you read about the Yoruba man who died in a London hospital and whose penis and scrotum sack were found missing? The Yoruba nurses were up in arms when questioned “Where de penis and basket?” The parts were neatly sliced off and flown out to Ijebu Ode to be cooked and mixed in some ola-kassimous (made-up word for strongest) charms). Chai.
The Yorubas have charms for everything, including love portions, pregnancy inducers, barrenness inhibitors, cures for ogbanje, protection from gun wounds and poisonings. Despite their heavy groundings in the underworld Yorubas cannot equal the Igbos in capitalization, wealth, bravery, influence, or physical attractiveness. Yoruba charms are a cover-up for cannibalism, a subterfuge for wickedness of the most primitive category . So, what do their stupid charms do for them ? They rob Igbo stores in Lagos, organize riots to provide opportunities to ransack Igbo stalls, sell body parts to Igbo traders eager to amass billions of Naira they leave behind at death for the Yoruba witch doctors.
YUROBAS STUPIDITY
The Yorubas invented the Ogboni Society for Nigerian illiterates eager to own more money than God. I hear Ogboni members are required to sacrifice family members or chosen others to stay protected and in wealth. If Yoruba charms really work, why don’t they protect them from being arrested while marketing human body parts? Why don’t the jujus give the Yorubas the smartness and acumen the Igbos used to turn N1,000 given shortly after the War into billions a few years later? Why didn’t the charms clean the gutters, sanitize the squalor, and cure malaria and small pox infesting Yorubaland? Why don’t they fare better in WAEC papers without being the purveyors of Expo? Why? Why? The Yorubas are a conniving people; they have conspired with the Hausas to rob and marginalize the Igbos. Sanusi of the Central bank of Nigeria states:
YUROBA GIRLS
Yoruba girls. They are a sneaky, slimy bunch who would warm their ways into a man’s heart to collect the man’s sperm in plastic to take to a witch doctor to whom they pay a heavy fee to prepare ojo-valentiurinal (invented word for the most powerful) concoctions that would hold the man married to them for life).

WHY I HATE CRIMINAL IGBOS PRETENDING....GHANAIANS!
The Igbo Fallacy
Written by Fredrick Nwabufo
Created on 22 November 2013
In my previous didactic, tart, and dispassionate polemic entitled “The Igbo False Dimension: The Igbo I Hate” I adumbrated, exposited and espoused the tendentious logic of vehement and sustained rise in Igbo criminality in Nigeria. The piece extracted venoms from the fangs of “Igbo nationalists”. I was torpedoed with a fusillade of contumelies instead of seasoned, disciplined counterpoints by seemingly bruised Igbo people. My “Igboness” was excoriated and called into question and opprobrium. Let me reiterate here, that I am Igbo, but I will not out of blind, cowardly and defeated ethnic nationalism earthen the malfeasance and failings of my people. The burning truth will always consume the cold, easy lie.
In truth, the gruesome, senseless and depressingly cold murder of a Nigerian of Igbo fount in India, and the ceaseless profusion of crimson Hindustan xenophobic outrages towards Nigerians vivify curious ponderings, somber, sober reflections and unkind truths about the sojourning Igbo. About forty thousand Nigerians live in India. Of this number, a vast queue of Igbo persons constitutes an irrepressible, but unimpressive quota. That is, the Igbo are in the majority stratum of Nigerian sojourners in India. It is therefore in the remit of unbiased logic to aver that a majority of Nigerians who commit crimes for which all law abiding Nigerians share in condign comeuppance in India are Igbo. It is also on the threshold of verifiable truth that gross proportions of Igbo Nigerians in India are wired and prodded by survivalist propensities, and as such can do anything beyond the cloud of kosher to drag on their existence. Consequently, the piercing hollering of Indians that Nigerians in their country are criminals may be the unfortunate, lachrymal truth. Arguably, the reason for Igbo sojourning to even the remotest of places in the world has been attributed to their much vaunted entrepreneurial spirit. As a matter of fact, the claim that Igbo sojourning is driven by an atavistic entrepreneurial proclivity is enclosed between pressing, meaty layers of fallacy like the entrails of burger between fluffy loaves. Inasmuch as the “entrepreneurial sojourning” thread cannot be utterly pooh-poohed, it is judicious to explore other reasons why the Igbo are seemingly peripatetic sojourners. First, in Igbo ethology, it is a cringing evil for an Igbo man or woman to commit a “stigmatized” crime (Alu) such as armed robbery at home. This is not an obviation of abhorrent crimes committed at home by some unabashed Igbo criminals. The truth is the “home” Igbo criminals are a hopeless and shameless horde whose self esteem and sense of shame are terribly at nadir, and as a result purvey crimes at home. Inter alia, for any stigmatized crime committed at home there is a stern reprimand implicit in cleansing of the crime. The sacerdotal process of cleansing the land of a crime or an abomination is called “Ikpu Alu”. However, “Ikpu Alu” (cleansing of abominations) does not extend its sacred arm of cleansing and reprehension to crimes committed by Igbo sons and daughters in places outside the Igbo picturesque dome. It is therefore not surprising if some Igbo persons commit heinous crimes in obverse places, and come back home to receive chieftaincy titles. As a matter of fact, in some morally weak Igbo communities it is a brave thing to traffic in hard drugs. Drug barons are gleefully celebrated as Ndi kara Obi (lion-hearted people). Such is the pantomime of the Igbo and crimes.
Going by the stated point, it is therefore indubitable to posit that an unenviable number of self-conscious Igbo persons with innate criminal manuals travelled outside the Igbo enclave to peddle crimes. This confutes the general idea that the sojourning of the Igbo is driven solely by entrepreneurial inclinations and motives. To a large extent, the sojourning of some Igbo people is driven by a morbid aim of shielding their evil trades from the peering eyes of their kinsmen. Their names are protected as long as they do not traffic in crimes at home. The important thing is to be successful at crimes abroad; successful enough to build vulgar mansions at home and throw lazy cash about.
To animate my argument further, what is the entrepreneurial inclination or motive of the Igbo in India, Malaysia, Vietnam and other Asian countries peddling drugs? Is the entrepreneurial spirit of the Igbo only revivified abroad or outside Igbo land? Why should the Igbo entrepreneurial spirit find its host cozily and lopsidedly outside Igbo land? Is there a marriage between Igbo criminality all across the world and Igbo entrepreneurial genome? These are questions that defeat the long, tired argument of Igbo entrepreneurial “peripatetism.” The fact is the “entrepreneurial” beat up logic and reason for Igbo sojourning is a bored excuse.
Analogously, Igbo sojourning atavism is also effectuated by pride, ego and vanity. A typical Igbo person will want to prove he is successful in anyway. It is wickedly mortifying to be seen as poor or struggling in Igbo land. This underscores the reason many Igbo persons smuggle themselves out of Nigeria, and because it is thought that any person in Obodo Oyibo (white man’s country) or even anywhere outside Igbo land is “doing well”. Those Igbo persons who are “cursed” to be in Igbo land are seen as struggling and as such do not deserve the courtesy of admiration and respect. It is a proud thing for an Igbo father to say, “All my children are abroad”; even when the abroad is Gabon. Such a father courts the respect, envy and admiration of other fathers in Igbo land. Again, it is a proud thing for an Igbo person to be far away from home. It gives him a mysterious air of importance. The Igbo value more their people who are not in Igbo land than their people who are in unenviable propinquity. This is the Igboawful linkage between Igbo sojourning and base vanity.
In all, there are Igbo persons in the scrawny good number whose sojourn in foreign countries is not tainted by any evil intent or base vanity, but it is a bleeding fact the singular Igbo entrepreneurial logic for sojourning is one big smorgasbord of fallacy.

Okija Shrine of Death- HOW WE GET HUMAN SKULLS-Chief priest
By GEOFFREY ANYANWU, Awka.
The unmasking of the Ogwugwu Okija by the Anambra State Police command on Tuesday, has revealed a lot of hidden atrocities that have been going on in one of the largest towns of Anambra State for hundreds of years now.
One of the greatest revelations is that which puts a lie to the fable that the deity kills people. Rather, truth is that its worshippers and adherents have been committing blue murder, deceiving gullible faithfuls and making stupendous wealth off them. The have sustained a myth which only objective is to instill fear to make money.
It also reopened what many thought was the closed case of the death, by auto accident of a very popular son of the area who was an epitome of the nouveaux riches of the late 1990s. The late money bag who was based in Lagos is said to have been was actually killed by these ritual killers and that his body may, in fact, still be in – this is even as an empty coffin was said to have been buried in the grave in his country home, unknown to family and friends who could not understand why his coffin could not be opened before burial.
But Mr. Obed Igwe, the man who blew the whistle on the ritualists and who happens to come from the same village is helping Nigerians put two and two together. Igwe was initiated into the cult but, unknown to the others, he joined only to know the inner workings in the shrine, with a view to exposing them later.
Saturday Sun got Igwe and one of the chief priests of the dreaded arusi Okija to explain their roles in one of the most gory tales to emerge from Nigeria after the Otokoto saga in Owerri, Imo State.
My name is Chukwumezie Obed Igwe, from Umuhu Okija, these people here are all my brothers.
Since I was born, I have been seeing my people carried into this place in ambulances and, sometimes, with tipper. I see these things because I am living at the frontline of that street. Initially, they were taking these people there (to the shrine) but, all of a sudden, they now started having it (shrines) individually. Somebody could just go to any big tree, mystify it and start using it to cheat, dupe and kill people.
“Then I was worried and I decided to know what exactly this people do. Hence, I entered into them. Now, when they saw how I was coming close to them, Osita (Ndukwu, one of the priests) said we should take oath (of secrecy). He said that if anybody reveals each other, that the arusi (deity) would come down on him. I agreed and we took oath and became ‘brothers’ and everything. They now told me everything, all the tricks in the practice and how they are killing people.
I notice that no shrine is killing anybody and there is no Christianity there. No shrine kills anybody, it is human beings who are killing each other. I believe that no human being is stronger than God and Jesus. Why is it that Jesus or God doesn’t kill us and we keep on dying by something fetish, I don’t believe that.
How this people are killing people and blaming it on the shrine is that there is something they used to prepare, they call that very thing Isusu. That Isusu contained many dangerous substances. So when they write somebody’s name on a paper and put it with gunpowder and blow it up it with Nkponala (canons), within three or four days, the person must surely die, and they would claim it is the arusi that has killed the person.
They also have many agents like these Okadas (commercial motorcyclists). If they know that you drive a car, they can also rob it on your car door, because you must surely open that door with your hand and the moment you do, it doesn’t kill immediately, but within three, four months that person must pass away. So all these things were what I saw and now decided to call police.
Igwe , in the course of fraternizing with the shrine brotherhood, also got into a land deal with them. He paid out money but has yet to receive the plot of land. However, he insists he was never keen on the land from the onset.
“You know we are all brothers; they are my senior ones. So I told them that I want to come home to establish poultry and stay at home. They told me there is a lot of land and that I should bring money so that they can buy land for me. I gave them N1.3 million because the land they promised is big. Osita even promised to give me from his own land if the one he would buy is not sufficient for me”. So, it is not the money that is the issue now, but the time has come for me to expose them”.
You see, they have now started spreading their evil practice to other parts of the state - from Odoekpe to all those towns that have shrines, and whose shrines have not been known to kill. They say that their shrine does not kill and they are now initiating them to that very thing the they do with the Okija shrine. They teach them to use the Isusu. They call human beings ‘container’ (like the traders refer to their containers of goods from overseas). In fact, they eat human flesh a lot.
When they take that thing kill somebody, they will tell you that you should park that person’s property and money and bring it to the shrine, so that the shrine will not kill the whole village and the whole community.
That is the initial strategy. When you obey, they will tell you that no, you will bring cows and other things. They collect up to five cows from people, ask them, they are here.
Apart from that, they have many strategies of making money. They don’t farm, they don’t fish, but you see all of them building mansions, ridding flashy cars and buying properties overseas.
What I am saying is that everything about Okija and shrine is 100 per cent fake, and there is no doubt about that. It is 100 per cent fake. This thing has been existing hundreds of years ago but nobody has power to expose it. These ones you see that are old now, they started from their youth, their forefathers started it and died, their fathers took over before their sons now.
“It is not true that because they cheated me, that is why I am exposing them. They know that my business is quite different. I’m a trader. I deal on jewelry. They know I am a kind of somebody, my religion is Hare Krishna. We are vegetarians we don’t like killing. They know that we like life and I know that every human being I’m looking at in this world, even if you are from Ghana or elsewhere, I know from the Bible that all of us originated from one father and mother. So all those people they are killing are my brothers.
I have waited till now to expose them, because I wanted to gather every fact and for me to be able to make sure I get them all. All of them, like the other one (he points to one of the suspects arrested from the shrine) who returned from Lagos the other time, I tricked them home, saying let us go home so that we can hold a party, and they came back home, otherwise seeing the other tall one (he points to yet another of the men) is very difficult”.
You know what I did now is very very dangerous, no one has been able to do it because of the danger it poses to one’s life. My wife told me that I should see my children because I am a father of eight children, because some of these people are mean, they can come after me both with hired assassins and other means. She said that the government of this country cannot even give me guarantee or protection. But I’m just doing this for the freedom, health and long life of generation to come. If I die in the process, I am very happy, provided the future generation will be very happy that they have been liberated.
Ask them where they
“Pertaining to Ezego, I still feel that Ezego was killed by this same set of people and also dumped there. I saw him once, because I used to follow them to enter that place, otherwise I couldn’t have known the axis that I showed the police. It is a tragedy. If we refuse to fight this now, this may happen to any body else, even you. Ask them where they kept Ezego, they will show you.”
‘My name is Osita Ndukwu, I am from Umuhu Okija. I sell drugs and practice traditional medicine, I am a native doctor, I also serve Ogwugwu Isiula (deity) of Okija. In Okija there eare many deities (Arusi). We have Ogwugwu Isiula, Ogwugwu Akpu, Ihenemere-muo-ihe, Idigo, Ogwugwu mmiri. We also have Akwunama, Ohayakpa, there are so many of them there. The most dreadful of them all is Ogwugwu Akpu and Ogwugwu mmiri.
We are those who go on errands, like if you come and report anybody to our Chief Priest, our father at home, Okorie Ezike (if you bring our books you will see where he thumb printed those papers we work with). If someone reports to our shrine that he has dispute with another fellow, our master, the Chief Priest, will tell that person to wait and he will send us to go and call the person whom the report was against so that their differences will be resolved.
If the person refuses to come, our master will send message again to him and his people, even to their traditional rulers that the man should come that there was a report against him. And if he refused to come this time around, our master, the Chief Priest, will then send the Arusi (deity) to look for the person to know why he disobeyed.
When the Chief Priest commands the deity (arusi) to search for the person, it goes after the person and if the report against him is true, the Arusi will catch the person and cause him to be saying that Arusi is holding him.
After we might have judged any case the arusi (deity) normally kills the offender or the guilty one. When such one dies, their people will come and inform us and they will be taken to our Chief Priest who will demand for money, cow, goat chicken - as the case may be - so that he will call the arusi back and resolve the issue for them. It is the people that will come and tell us that arusi is killing them before we can go. Like this one here (pointing at the fresh corps the police brought from the shrine as an exhibit) he is from Enugu State, I came home and saw it in our shrine and I was told that they brought some one to arusi and I asked and was told he is from Enugu State, that his people brought him. I don’t know when he swore at the shrine, I was told he was in mortuary for some days before they brought him to the shrine”.
The messemger of arusi also revealed that politicians, traders and even husbands and wives and children come to the shrine and take oath so that no one will cheat the other.
I cannot explain why I was arrested, because the man who came and arrested me, his name is Obed Igwe, I went to his house in Lagos. He invited me and I went. I was with him up to five days even he paid my children’s school fees in Lagos. He even gave me transport money when I told him I needed to come home, and I came back. So last Sunday, he came back and came to my house and my wife cooked for us and we ate. He slept in my house with two persons and a policeman with him.
The next day, he told me he was going, so the next thing I saw was he coming to my place yesterday (Tuesday) with policemen. That time in Lagos, he paid my children’s school fees of N80,000. He also gave me N 20,000 for my feeding while in Lagos and when I wanted to go, he gave me N50,000 saying I should pay him back the N50,000 when he comes back to the village because I did not have money with me there. Another thing that concerned us is, he is my brother, he gave me N1 million for the land he wants to buy for building. But along the line, those we were dealing with about the land had problems of ownership of the land. So he came with the police about 3pm on Tuesday arrested us, searched the house, and entered the shrine, he (Obed) entered the shrine because he is a co-owner of the shrine. In fact, there is arusi that was given to him that is in his house now that he worships. It is in lagos, he uses it there. He is also a native doctor. So we are not in dispute, we are not quarreling. Two of us even took oath with the arusi who will allow evil come to his brother.
The skulls were brought from various shrines, in Okija. Some were got from Ogwugwu Isiula and some from Ogwugwu Akpu. Three were brought from my our shrine. We don’t use the skulls for anything. The thing is that if anybody offended and Arusi kills him or her, like those who are struggling for land or other things, they will bring the body to the shrine, these skulls are those that have decomposed completely.
I don’t know Ezego, I heard of him and when he was reigning. I was in Cotounu. I cannot tell the shrine where his body is, but I heard he was taken to Ogwugwu Akpu, I don’t know about him.
Shrines in Okija, Anambra State were chambers of horror and torture. About 500 victims have told police investigators how they were tortured to confess to crimes they knew nothing about.
In turn, the police have tightened their noose on the detained priests who may be charged with multiple crimes against humanity.
Since the news of their arrests, police investigators have been inundated with petitions from victims who allege one form of maltreatment or another by the priests.
They said the ordeal usually started with an invitation by the priests alleging offences they were innocent of.
One of the victims told the police in Abuja how the shrine operators extorted more than N3 million from him if he did not want to die.
The victim, who pleaded anonymity, told the detectives that it was by the special grace of God that he is alive, having met their demands.
In their own petition to the police, the Igbo community in Kwara State narrated how they were summoned to the shrine.
The younger brother of the captain of the Super Eagles, Austin Jay-Jay Okocha, was also at the police headquarters to tell detectives how the footballer was summoned to the shrine.
The victims said they came voluntarily to narrate their experiences so that when the list of the names in the shrine registers are published, Nigerians would not be surprised, “because most of them were victims of circumstances”.

MACABRE DISCOVERY IN OKIJA, ANAMBRA STATE!
Reuters reported it and CNN made it headline news. It scrolled continuously across the bottom of TV screens everywhere. It was difficult to miss it. Anambra state was in the news again!
Okija Shrine arrests
No, it was not for something good. It was not for the discovery of a cure for cancer or AIDS. It was not for the construction of a suspension bridge over the river Niger. It was bad news. As soon as I saw it, I felt the way I did a year ago, when the sitting governor of the same State was abducted. My heart sank and I wondered why the State seemed to be mired in one misadventure after another.
The news was direct and clear. The Anambra state police, on Wednesday, August 4, raided a shrine at Okija, Ihiala local government in Anambra state. During the raid, they recovered 50 decomposing bodies and 20 human skulls and arrested 30 witch doctors who were believed to be responsible for the upkeep of the shrine. "The heads, genitals and other vital parts of some of the bodies, found in a teak forest in Okija village, had been severed, a sign they may have been killed for ritual"[Reuters] The raid, appropriately dubbed "Liberation Raid" was conducted at the behest of Nigeria's Inspector General of Police, Tafa Balogun. He had earlier received petitions from two citizens of the area.
It is almost difficult for someone who was not present during the raid to fully understand the gruesome nature of what police found at the shrine. However, the reaction of the police commissioner, Felix Ogbaudu, tells the story. This was a man that must have become accustomed to seeing death by dint of his profession. However, it was reported that when he beheld the macabre sight of decomposing bodies, skeletal remains, severed parts and skulls of fellow human beings, he simply wept! Then he turned around towards the 30 priests of the shrine, who were suspected to have caused the havoc and rhetorically asked, "are these human beings or ghouls?" The question was very appropriate for how is it possible that the priests felt comfortable in the midst of the remains of their fellow human beings, knowing that they contributed in one way or the other to their demise?
In response to a question from the press on how the bodies got there, one of the priests in the shrine, one Mr. Osita Ndukwu, said, " … if any body reports to us that someone has wronged him or her, our chief priest will send for the person…if he fails to come after two notices, the chief priest will command the deity to go after such one…and when the people come to tell us that the deity has killed the person, they will be told what to bring to the shrine including the corpse of the person"
The above assertion is contradicted by a Guardian News investigation. According to the issue of Thursday, August 5, 2004, "adherents [the shrine patrons], including rich and influential people, who come there were poisoned to die and their corpse and property brought down to the shrines while the priests share the booty" Added to this, the police commissioner later reported seeing concoctions in the shrine. It is therefore this author's considered opinion that the statement attributed to the priest about the deity killing the people is merely a carefully crafted and rehearsed statement; a subterfuge to cover-up the crimes and atrocities that have been committed there. Ascribing the killings to the deity is a veiled attempt to deflect blame from the real criminals. Lets face it, what deity kills people just because they failed to answer a call? Talk about punishment not fitting the crime.
The other assertion made by the Guardian is that the property of the dead men was brought down to the shrine and the priests shared the booty. Mr. Ndukwu the priest indirectly corroborated this when he "admitted that his family resides in Lagos where he owns houses and other businesses [Guardian News, August 5, 2004]. Inotherwords, while the families of their patrons are being subjected to heartaches by the diabolic actions of the shrine priests, which culminate in the death of their loved ones, the priests were amassing wealth and houses in Lagos. This tells this writer that greed is a motivating factor in all this and if the Guardian investigation is anything to go with, poisoning human beings for financial gains is as egregious a crime as can be and frankly deserves the stiffest of punishments if not the ultimate punishment.
Police commissioner Ogbaudu told the press that some of the bodies he saw shrank rather than decompose, a pointer to the fact that they may have been treated with chemicals. This shows that the priests were no dummies. They were not mere primitive men trying to sustain a primitive tradition that had been handed down to them by the previous generation. They carefully preserved the corpses by treating them with chemicals so that they would be put on display for their patrons to see. They wanted them to believe that the deity killed the people thereby portraying its powers. It was like advertising a product so as to drum up more business. This time, the product in question was dead people.
It was not too long ago that Anambra State was in the news. Appalling news. The governor had been abducted and was about to be overthrown when he cried out to the nation. Through providence or accident of history, people rallied around him and he went back to work. One curious thing though is that when the governor's adversaries and erstwhile Godfathers gave their own side of the story, they noted that the Governor swore in the said Okija shrine to step down after taking office. After initial denial, the governor accepted that he swore there but did so under duress. In a swift reaction to the recent events in the same shrine, "a Don at the Madonna University, Okija, Anambra State, Mr. Emeka Obi, called on the police to investigate the state governor, Dr. Chris Ngige and his estranged political godfather, Chief Chris Uba, to ascertain whether they had any link to the bizarre find at the shrines in the state"[Saturday Punch, August 7, 2004] "If the police can prove their claim that the shrine was used for rituals, then people like Ngige and Uba, who were alleged to have gone there, should be charged along with the 30 arrested suspects" Mr. Obi said during his interview with Punch newspaper..
This writer agrees with the Don that the governor needs to come forward and tell what he knows. It is clearly on record that he was at the shrine in question. Did he see all the corpses that the police just discovered when he went there to swear? If he did, why did he look away? Was it not a civic duty for him to report that? If he had reported that back then, may be some lives may have been saved between then and now. Also, as called for by Madonna University Don, those who took the governor to the shrine clearly were familiar with the place. They should also tell the nation what they knew about the place and what they saw when they got there. If they saw the corpses and said nothing, then they have some questions to answer also.
The police should be commended for a good first step however, much needs to be done. A thorough search and investigation must take place. It must not be hurried so that this type of evil would never take place again. People who have missing relatives must be invited to review the fresh corpse and the priests must be made to give names. The police must find out exactly how they were killed. This would be the time for the police to spend as much money as they can to bring in forensic experts to find out how those people died. Were they poisoned? If so, what sorts of poison did they ingest? We need to know how widespread this has been and be able to stop it once and for all.
The second task that the police has is to go around the 36 -states of the federation and start unearthing similar shrines. It will be mere wishful thinking for anyone to believe that what we just saw is only peculiar to Okija, Anambra state. Now that we know what happens in these shrines, scattered all over Nigeria, the police must quickly swing into action. Anything short of that will be fighting this social malady half-heartedly.
We are hearing that the federal government may become involved in the investigation of the Okija shrine incident. I realize that I once frowned at the intervention of the federal government in Anambra state during Ngige saga, but in this case, if the government will be true, they are welcome. If left in the hands of the state, it may not be properly investigated because the people are too close to the crime. Moreover, the state may not have money to bring in forensic experts needed to unravel all these. Also, the trial should be public and televised for transparency. The world needs to understand that it is not the way of life of majority in the state and in Nigeria. The high priest should be forced to name names of his victims, including those that brought them to him. This issue must be dealt with in the open otherwise Igbos will in future be painted with a broad brush. It will bring bad name to the Igbos, scare people, especially foreigners from Igbo land.
One of the latest twists in this matter is that the secretary of Ohaneze, Col. Achuzia reportedly frowned at the police raid on the shrines. He was reported as saying that the developments in the shrines were not new in the Nigerian tradition and was not worth publicizing because it portrays Igbos as cannibals. Col. Achuzia may be right that the development was not new in Nigeria because we hear about rituals with humans all over Nigeria. However, just because it was not new does not make it right. Many years ago in some parts of Nigeria, newborn babies who cut their first set of teeth on the upper palate were seen as evil and tossed into the evil forest. People who had certain diseases like bloating stomach, which we now know as stomach cancer, were also tossed into the evil forest and left to die. Newborn babies that came out the wrong way were taken to the evil forest and allowed to die. In the same vein, twins were also exterminated. This was a primitive tradition that had stayed with different communities for a long time but was thankfully stamped out by the intervention of colonial masters and other people of goodwill.
Is Achuzia by his statements saying that those gruesome practices should have been continued just because they "were not new in the Nigerian tradition?" Certainly no. In Nigeria today, many have been afflicted by stomach cancer and their families took care of them till their last days. Many newly born have cut their first set of teeth on the upper palate and lived to become doctors, lawyers and even political leaders. Many twins have gone on to become great and contribute to society. Col Joe Achuzia is therefore wrong and needs to retract his statement if he was speaking for Ohaneze. Frankly, he should focus his energy as Ohaneze's General Secretary on championing worthy Igbo causes not defending atrocities or attempting to exonerate killers. If the shrines were not littered with human corpses, it would have been a different case. But we are talking about human beings, Igbos that died at the hands of fellow Igbos. It is fratricide; it is indefensible! Col Achuzia could be burnishing the image of the Igbos in many other good ways. Igbos are not lacking in achievements to be showcased to the world. Condemning this gruesome crime is the right thing to do in the presence of God and man and the brave Colonel must make a U-turn.
Achuzia's defense sounds similar to Obasanjo's image project where the president was saying that Nigerians should cover our bad aspects and highlight only our good. I criticized the president for saying so then and I hasten to criticize Col Achuzia for practically saying the same thing. If Colonel Achuzia is concerned that there are similar shrines all over the nation, then he should be calling on the police, as I did earlier, to descend on those other shrines also.
Finally, time may have come for completely purging Anambra State of evil and finally moving forward. It started when we learned how the state money was being mismanaged and why workers were not being paid. This latest scandal may have brought this collective cleansing to its ne plus ultra because, according to reports, three registers were recovered from the shrine and in due course, the names of the people on the registers will become known. This may lead to the unmasking of men who dress well by day, drive flashy cars, make donations in churches and in civic places and are made chiefs by greedy village chiefs, even though they lack the requisite wisdom. The Guardian News alleged that "prominent politicians in the state had gone from time to time to swear to an oath at these shrines" and two suspects in the shrine have stated that prominent politicians, top government officials and businessmen were regular callers at the shrine, seeking for solutions to all kinds of problems [Sunday Punch, August 8, 2004]
As things unravel with respect to this gruesome find, it may become apparent that some of these exalted men, who sometimes build churches or donate money for same and therefore occupy hallowed seats in the churches as well as parade themselves as leaders of society, are actually wolves in sheep's clothing. It may become apparent that they have been accomplices to the shrine priests in perpetrating the crime of the century. A new era may have dawned for bringing them to light and shaming them, finally giving Anambra state and indeed Igboland the respite they deserve after withstanding a grueling 30-month war that decimated it and rained blood on every nook and cranny. May God help us.

Uganda: Three Igbo Fraudsters Arrested Over Sh35 Million
By Donald Kirya in Jinja, 25 September 2012
Three men, said to be Igbos, were arrested by Police in Jinja for allegedly defrauding a cashier working with Kakira Sugar Limited of shs35m.
Valentine Ukeje, 37, Jordan Steven Asobasi, 32, and Towa Kawawa were intercepted by Police Monday morning.
They are all businessmen and residents of Makindye division in Kampala, reports show.
Jonathan Musinguzi - the Jinja district Police commander - said the trio led by Ukeje went to the Jinja-based sugar factory at the end of last month, outsmarted one of the cashiers there and disappeared with sh35m.
He said when the incident was reported at Kakira Police Station, a case under CRB: 6011/2012 was immediately filed then later transferred to Jinja Central Police Station which started investigations and pursued the suspects.
"We pursued the suspects until they were arrested from Makindye where they were picked and brought to Jinja Central Police Station in Jinja," Musinguzi said.
The assumed leader of the clique, Ukeje hid his face away from the cameras when the trio was paraded before journalists at the DPC's office on Monday.
The suspects were also found with counterfeit dollar notes worth over shs1bn and a metallic safe box. The dollars and safe were recovered from Ukeje's car following a thorough search.
"These are conmen but they are also involved in printing fake money. The cashier is on the run and Police is looking for him so that he is also arrested," Musinguzi added.
He said they recovered a complicated device inside the safe which contained wires and added that they will call the Counter Terrorism Police to check it and find out what it is.
The Police did not rule out the possibility that it could be a bomb.
According to Police, the three will be charged with possession of counterfeit money and theft of money worth shs35 million from the Kakira sugar factory.
The cashier is still at large and Police is trying to trace him, Musinguzi revealed.
Once arrested, the cashier, whose names could not be established by press time, will be charged with embezzlement.
The suspects are yet to be taken to Jinja High Court.
Ukeje, said to be the clique leader, tried to drown his face into his shirt as he was led towards the cells by two police personnel. The Police feared that the contents of the metallic safe box could potentially be bomb components.
The counterfeit dollar notes worth over shs1bn that were found in Ukeje's car.

The Yoruba true dimension – the Yoruba I like
By Fredrick Nwabufo on September 25, 2013
I am a “full –blooded” Igbo man who harbours no bias or prejudice against any race. I believe we are all connected in an unending loop. And I am by principle canonised to be in the vanguard of things that burgeon unity and progress among the variegated peoples of Nigeria.
In the light of that, so much has been said about Yoruba hospitality, as a matter of fact, Yoruba hospitality is celestial. This is in view of the attendant negative corollaries that have assailed the hospitality. I would not want to glide full throttle into detailing accounts of Yoruba hospitality, but I would marshal and delineate some corresponding instances the best way my mental domain can capture and express. However, this is not about Yoruba hospitality.
It is a rocky fact that Yoruba criminals operate within their space, that is Yorubaland. It is as rare as an eclipse to hear that Yoruba criminals are ravaging, duping, kidnapping, “fake drugging”, extorting, killing, raping and robbing people in other parts of Nigeria that are not within the Yoruba “principality”. They commit their crimes at home. However, this does not include Yoruba people who commit crimes abroad. I am speaking within the terrestrial remit of Nigeria.
Conversely, Igbo criminals carry out their sinister operations at home, in Yorubaland, in Hausaland and abroad. They are “universal operators”. The truth is that, Igbo criminal operations in Yorubaland are alarming. This is against the backdrop of very negligible Yoruba criminal operations in Igboland. In truth, I have not heard of any Yoruba person convicted of a crime in Igboland. The same cannot be said about the Igbo. Consequently, the Yoruba I like are those Yoruba people who have endured the savagery of Igbo criminals and have always winnowed the good Igbo out of the bad Igbo. Instead of tagging the race, a population of criminals, they have always maintained that there are a few bad eggs in a crate does not mean that all the eggs are bad. Perspicuously, this explains the reason the Yoruba have not given the Igbo the Hausa/Fulani treatment in their land. This is also considering the insalubrious level of provocation, and tension between the two groups.
Again, the Igbo are quick to call the Yoruba cowards. But during the June 12 crisis, when the Yoruba resistance threshold reached nadir, the Igbo people ran for cover. They embarked on rigorous journeys back to Igboland. The fact is no race is weak or cowardly. The strength of races varies and differs; every race has its own uniqueness and specialty in strength. In consonance with this, the Yoruba I like are those Yoruba people who are level-headed and who have risen above every form of provocation, aggression and contumely. Those who have refused to take umbrage and resort to violence of any kind. Those are the Yoruba I like.
In addition, there is no doubt that the Yoruba are the most vociferous, sturdy and feisty on the issue of true federalism in Nigeria. The federalism practiced in Nigeria has not favoured the Igbo either. But the Yoruba are front liners in the discourse of charting a route to true federalism in Nigeria. The difference between the Yoruba and the Igbo is that while the former is clear about its agenda the latter is not precise about its agenda. In other words, the Yoruba agenda is true federalism, regional self government or “bifurcation” of Nigeria, the Igbo agenda vacillates between producing a president of the Igbo extraction and having an independent state of Biafra. To say the least, the Igbo seem to be the only people without an agenda in Nigeria. Inter alia, the Yoruba I like are those Yoruba people who suffer under Nigeria’s false federalism but who in their all-round incapacitation cry out for change, for peace, for progress and development.
Finally, the Yoruba I like are those Yoruba people who see themselves first as Yoruba before Nigerian. They may be called “tribalists”, but the fact is you must love yourself first before you love another person. Awareness of self is seminal for spiritual, cultural, mental and material progress. Unlike the Igbo who owe allegiance to their wealth, the Yoruba owe allegiance to their ethnic group. Consequently, the Yoruba I like are the Yoruba Nigerians and not the Nigerian Yoruba for within the ranks of the Yoruba Nigerians are honest, genuine, forthright Nigerians who love their race and want the progress of the country for the collective good of the race.

Tragedy in Imo as man beheads son, 13

Tension has enveloped the sleepy village of Akabor, Ahiara in Ahiazu Local Government Area of Imo State after 45-year-old Bernard Anyanwu beheaded his only son, Chikaodi, in a forest on Wednesday.
The incident, a reminiscent of the infamous “Otokoto” saga of Owerri, has sparked off fear and apprehension as some Akabor residents have started fleeing home for fear of being arrested.
The Otokoko saga emerged from the killing of one master Ikechukwu Okonkwo for rituals, which triggered a chain of violent protests in Owerri in 1996. Indigenes of Owerri, particularly the youths, women and children, took to the streets en masse to burn and destroy property believed to belong to suspected ritual killers who are today referred to as the Otokoto Seven.
The fearful Otokoto drama reached its peak in 1997, when about six men were publicly executed by firing squad over alleged armed robbery charges and ritual killings. Those executed were: Obidiozor Duru, Chidi Onuoha and Amanze Onuoha (brothers); Collins Ndulaka, Sydney Onyechege and Mac Donald Ebere. Former Military Governor of Imo State, Colonel Tanko Zubairu (rtd), quickly signed their death warrants in an effort to rid the state of the rising cases of suspected ritual killings.
In the latest case, police sources said the wife of the suspect, Charity, has already made a statement at the Ahiazu Police Station and that the suspect, a motor mechanic, is now being detained at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Owerri, the state capital.
An eyewitness account narrated that Anyanwu had told the wife that he wanted their only son, aged 13, to accompany him to the nkporo (local name for the village’s forest) near a river to fetch some woods for the repair of their dilapidated building.
But the suspect later returned from the forest allegedly carrying a cellophane bag containing human flesh with blood dripping down.
Confronted by an insane man on arrival to the village, the suspect was said to have rebuffed the insane man and proceeded home where, with the combined efforts of the insane man and another drunkard, the villagers were alerted .
The suspect was said to have overpowered those that initially came to arrest him on discovery of what the two men were raising alarm for. He was however arrested on Thursday, 24 hours after the incident by the police and Akabor vigilante group.
A native of the town who sought anonymity said Anyanwu once suffered from insanity and that a similar incident occurred in the same family two years ago .
Meanwhile, a middle aged man was electrocuted at Umuebejileme Obohia also in Ahiazu LGA as he attempted to allegedly illegally connect electricity in the house of his relation in the same village.
Business Manager of PHCN, Jude Oguadinma, lamented that people of the area often connect electricity to their homes without involving PHCH officials, adding that the company has lost a lot of revenue through the heinous act.

YUROBAS EVIL TRIBE EXPOSED, I A NOT AN IGBO PLS.
Jùjú is a style of Nigerian popular music, derived from traditional Yoruba percussion. The name comes from a Yoruba word "juju" or "jiju" meaning "throwing" or "something being thrown." Juju music did not derive its name from juju, which "is a form of magic and the use of magic objects or witchcraft common in West Africa, Haiti, Cuba and other South American nations." It evolved in the 1920s in urban clubs across the countries, and was believed to have been created by AbdulRafiu Babatunde King, popularly known as Tunde King. The first jùjú recordings were by Tunde King and Ojoge Daniel from the same era of the 1920s when Tunde King pioneered it. The lead and predominant instrument of Jùjú is the Iya Ilu,"' talking drum. Some Jùjú musicians were itinerant, including early pioneers Ojoge Daniel, Irewole Denge and the "blind minstrel" Kokoro.[1]
Afro-juju is a style of Nigerian popular music, a mixture of Jùjú music and Afrobeat. Its most famous exponent was Shina Peters, who was so popular that the press called the phenomenon "Shinamania". Afro-juju's peak of popularity came in the early 1990s.
Jùjú music is performed primarily by artists from the southwestern region of Nigeria, where the Yoruba are the most numerous ethnic group. In performance, audience members commonly shower jùjú musicians with paper money; this tradition is known as "spraying."
One of the centres of the performance of Jùjú music is in Ibadan. Most jùjú musicians are based in the zone of market forces, and most of these are in an area of immigrant neighbourhoods. There are several contexts in which jùjú music is performed. On of these contexts is ‘The Hotel’. The Hotels are concentrated in the immigrant areas and they serve as taverns, dance halls and brothels. They range from very small wooden structures to clusters of two or three building with a stage in the middle. Most activity takes place after nine pm and the hotels are the centre of Ibadan’s nocturnal economic structure. One of the economic activities associated with the hotels is the sale of drinks and food and also prostitution. The Hotels are seen as places of relaxation, where patrons, mainly men, come to escape every day life. They are places where people can come to do things that they might not want to be seen doing at home. The Jùjú music performed is not the focus of the venue but most patrons prefer live music to records. The bands that perform do not have a guaranteed wage; instead they rely upon donations from patrons. Most bands will only perform during the weeknights, leaving the weekends free for more lucrative gigs. Another context in which Jùjú music is played is at celebrations called àríyá. These celebrations are parties which celebrate the naming of a baby, weddings, birthdays, funerals, title-taking, ceremonies and the launching of new property or business enterprises. These events are sponsored so the musicians are guaranteed payment. The wealth of the hosts and the guests is shown through their reward to the entertainers. It is customary to press the contribution to the musician’s forehead so that everyone can see how wealthy they are. The musicians will often return good payment with praise songs to the donors. Live music is crucial to the proper functioning of an àríyá.

Igbos Tribe Number 1 In Crime Aboard,-dominance Of Igbos In 419 Scams Was A Harm
Igbo Leaders Meet To Plot Strategy
From Jaiyeola Andrews in Asaba
The maiden edition of the Igbo leadesrship retreat organised by the Ohaneze took off yesterday with elder statesman, Chief Anthony Enahoro, restating the call for a national conference.
Enahoro who was a special guest at the retreat held in Asaba, the Delta State capital, said the national conference was the only way of resolving the major problems that had affected the growth of the nation.
The meeting which had in attendance Senate President Adophus Wabara, Imo State Governor Achike Udenwa, his Ebonyi State counterpart, Dr Sam Egwu, Justice Chukwu-difu Oputa, the Asagba of Asaba, Obi Prof Chike Edozien, prominent businessman, Chief Sunny Odogwu and scores of Igbo intellectuals, was the beginning of a new move to reposition the Igbo in the country, and at the same time reconcile all people of Igbo descent, both at home and in the Diaspora.
Wabara, addressing the meeting, said the final outcome of the novel course would remain a reference material for now and future Igbo concerns.
"A forum of this nature and of this magnitude has long been desired, especially at this time when there appears to be an increase in the consciousness and agitations for the Igbo man to rise and assume his pride of place in the polity of the nation," he said.
While calling for a rebirth of Ndigbo to enable them remain relevant in the nation's dynamic political arena, the Senate President said it was time the Igbo changed the way other Nigerians perceived them.
"We cannot afford to be continually seen as a people that lack a common focus or a race without the benefit of ideological illumination, or even organisational proficiency," he stated.
Wabara called for "a grilled reappraisal of the core Igbo values."
{{He said: "Why must it be the Igbos that top the list of 419 suspects? Why must it be the Igbo that are most frequently arrested for drug peddling? Why must it be the Igbos that will champion the manufacture and sale of fake and adulterated drugs.? These are anathemas that must be summarily condemned in every ramification," he noted.}}
He called on Ndigbo to put their house in order and join hands to work for the common good, particularly on the political playing field.
Wabara said: "A situation where every Igbo man would inordinately aspire to occupy the only position zoned to the Igbos does not speak well of our unity of purpose, neither does it buttress our organisational strength."

Comment to:THEY ARE IGBO CRIMINALS!
Ghanaians should please not rubbish all Nigerians as criminals, Nigerians of Yoruba extractions have lived in this country for centuries peacefully with their hosts and never have they been accused of any criminality of the scale we are begining to see at the influx of these IGBO people from South Eastern zone of Nigeria. The Igbo tribe is naturally criminal inclined and they stop at nothing to pepertrate crime which comes with them as a way of life.
The Yoruba people of South Western Nigeria has the same problem handling the influx of Igbo criminals from the East to Lagos just to engage in armed robbery and 419 scam. Igbo tribe have for many years advocated for a BIAFRA nation of their own and as such are known as people of BIAFRAN NATION than be called Nigerians. Ghanaians should please separate the rest of law abiding Nigerians from the IGBO CRIMINALS whose home country is the Eastern part of Nigeria. IGBO man is easy to identify, typical IGBO man is boastful (empty boast) He is very aggresive on issues of money, He appears to tell long stories of things he doesn't know much about just to capture your attention in preparation to dupe you, He poses deceptively to con you, He brags about things he has never owned in life, He freely drops names of prominent people in society as his friends; whom actually has never met, An IGBO man is easily identified by his Eastern Nigerian Igbo accent, (quite different from yoruba accent Ghanaians are familier with which in some cases are even used in drama stages) The IGBO man will boast about things he has never owned in his entire life, The IGBO man if not fair in complexion will bleach in order to acquire fairness cos to him that's the colour that attracts easy attention and for his easy passage in criminality, The IGBO people unlike the rest prefer to wear emaculate western styled costumes, suits, shirts etc just to be called civilised and also pretent to be so, The IGBO man is loud and noisy in his public engagements wherever you find him, The IGBO man wants to be appreciated by the size and type of car he rides and this is what motivates an average Igbo man to engage in robbery and commit crimes just to archive that aim, The Yorubas, Hausas and hosts of other Nigerian tribes are calm and reserve in nature so Ghanaians should begin asking the identity of these Igbo criminals and separate them from the rest of law abiding Nigerians.

My friend, my friend stop what you are saying. Mandela did not realize anything at that point to compel him advocate force.
The racist white Europeans who had forcibly taken over the land of the Black people of South Africa, had plundered and committed multiple crimes of unspeakable genocide against the Black population for several centuries. The ANC itself was created around 1910 to 1920 in resistance to the horrendous and senseless slaughter of Africans by Europeans who wanted to and actually stole their lands.
That the ANC and Mandela were under suspicion by other more active liberation fighters in Africa at that time up to now is justified by the fact that Europe and America have held him in the highest esteem after his term in jail.
It is a known behavioral fact that white people for whatever reasons of self-insufficiency that they may have, are racist towards and despise Africans and the only kind of African that they respect or tolerate or feel comfortable with are the kind of Black people who are foolishly subservient to them or who are psychologically retarded and stupid.
They must have done something to Mandela in jail to subsequently feel so comfortable about promoting a person who they had continuously described as a dangerous terrorist and a communist to become the president of South Africa, the land whose amazing resources sustained the economic success of Europe.
The long and short of this contribution is that by the time Mandela was released from jail he was thoroughly burnt out from 27 years of hard labor in a racist jail. One can only imagine and sympathize with him about what was done to him in there.
If Kwame Nkrumah 'snubbed' Mandela on his trip to Accra in the sixties, he must have had very good reason to do so. The Ghana Police and foreign intelligence system was reputed to be one of the best in the world at the time and Im sure they had all the facts on Mandela. In any case, Kwame Nkrumah had done most of the work for him before and after he was released from prison.
Unfortunately all the brouhaha about Mandela being crowned a great African by imperialists will expose and bring out all the unsavory facts about Mandela in the coming days and weeks to prove that willingly or unwittingly, he had been working in the interest of our common oppressors all this while.
As has been said elsewhere, Mandela is not really a bad a man but amongst great Africans in our painful history he would not rank anywhere near the 300th position. Even South African liberation fighters like Dube and Pixley Seme, founders of the ANC, Walter Sisulu and other traditional Black rulers of South Africa have contributed much more significantly to that still much oppressed and exploited country.
It is a good thing that this debate came up because it has exposed how very little Ghanaians know about their own country and Africa in whole.

Mandela made it possible for the terrorist AWB leader to be hacked to death. That feast wouldn't have happened under apathaid.
Also, by reading the account of Mr. Asante, I came to realized how sophisticated the state of Ghana was under Kwame Nkrumah in terms of institutions and how things were being ran with strict rules.

First of all this is what President Obama said:
"Born during World War I, far from the corridors of power, a boy raised herding cattle and tutored by elders of his Thembu tribe -- Madiba would emerge as the last great liberator of the 20th century."
So President Obama did not elevate Mandela over anybody! He simply said Mandela was the last of the great Liberators of the 20th century!
Senile K.B. Asante should shut up and not spread lies. Nkrumah fully supported Mandela. Nkrumah's government started a "Free Nelson Mandela" campaign. A song for this was played GBC's broadcast AND it was sung by Young Pioneers as well!
Anti-Nkrumahist Cameron Duodu who has no shame doing propaganda for BBC started this defamatory nonsense and now all the Nkrumah-haters are chipping in. Never a moment to miss to defame Nkrumah and CPP by the enemies of progress and forward movement in Ghana!

Now that its clear and exposed that this regime is burdened toxic tribalism , thieving corruption and hegemony we shall now elaborate on the other pillar which is the crudest form of cult personality politics . cult personality politic has led our country into ruins and collapsed all economic prosperity. cult personalitis hstarted in the days of nkrumah and were modified by evil wicked ayigbe kwasea jj. we see what it has done to north Korea , what happened to china under mao , Russia under Stalin , Germany with Hitler , Libya with Gaddafi , Yugoslavia with Tito and the list is endless . under the guise of cult personalities unheard of atrocities against their own citizens are committed as we ourselves also witnessed with jj and nkrumah since all these leaders in their blasphemous style governance think they are gods above God and therefore are infallible and can not make any mistakes . these psychopaths cause such pain and misery to the majority of there people but feel no remorse or guilt for their actions rather blow the trumpet of always blaming the innocent as we with the barking dog jj today. no nation with these kind of cult personalities dominating their leadership has ever succeeded in developing or reaching their full potential. their systems are best eradicated with a revolution or war so the people have a chance of a fresh start , coups are never enough as they only replace one criminal with another . pepeni has capitulated to whom its not so clear but its evident in his whining and crying that he says he is not liked , loved or respected so we suspect jj is now again ruling by proxy with the help of his ayigbe homicidal criminals . we must now ready the people for the inevitable which is war and we Akans shall be victorious . We all noticed pepeni was shunned and snubbed by all the other presidents in south africa except his unpopular colleague zuma since the whole world now knows he is a fake , an imposter and a good for nothing clown of an idiot .he best just think of how best he may resign before the blood flows in the streets as cult personality politics never end peacefully , a word to the wise long live the republic of Akan

Nkrumah snubbed Mandela! So we should die? Or we should cry?
Look, Nkrumah will remain the most visionary African whose ONLY mistake on earth was to overestimate the lousy knuckle-draggers called Africans.
IN fact, the more I see the stupidity in Africa, the more I pity Kwame Nkrumah: he must have been of a rare species, an alien, who we still cannot understand half a century after his death. Let's allow him his Peace, at least.
The latest news: South Sudan's opposing troops clash in Capital. That's what we are.

MANDELA IS THE GREATEST AFRICAN political actor of the 20th and early 21st century. Nkrumah is up there in the pantheon of Africa greats but he is not the greatest simply because NOTHING that HE INITIATED on his own succeed. THE GHANA INDEPENDENCE project pre-dates his arrival in Gold Coast politics, Akosombo was already decided by the colonials (Nkrumah to his credit initiated and completed it)....

Isn't it too naive for readers to argue or debate on Nkrumah and Mandela. The BBC poll of December 1999 declared Nkrumah the greatest African who lived within the last 1,000 years(AFRICA'S MAN OF THE MILLENIUM) when Mandela was ALIVE.The opinion of the misinformed American President Barrack Obama who was only four and half years old, when Nkrumah was overthrown in 1966 and his ignorant Speech writer WHO WROTE THE SPEECH FOR HIM cannot trump the BBC poll.It is crystal clear that both President Obama and his Speech writer didn't even know that there was a poll by BBC in December 1999 on who is the greatest African. It is important to note that Americans believe in polls and take polls seriously but the fact of the matter is even the most educated Americans are ignorant and narrow-minded on international issues. Both Obama and his Speech writer obviously didn't know of the BBC poll.Remember President George Walker Bush, the 43rd President even thought Africa was one nation when he made that shameful statement in Sweden during his first term,in his own words "Africa is a nation of many diseases".Nkrumah is the greatest African.Let's forgive Obama.

All u had to do NYANSASEM was to google and read a bit and u would have realised that the Liberian leader was elected . Ur just used to propaganda. Nkrumah's indirect education legacy where by our history was based only on lies, making him seem as if he was the only Ghanaian with brains and vision . People like Kwegyir Aggrey existed and did more for Afica than Nkrumah ever did . In his naivety Nkrumah thought that he could unite Africa and fight defeat the west. Unfortunately for him he didnt live long enough to see the fall of communism . Even the Soviets buckled in the end and just as with backing the Communist Pan African Congress instead of the ANC history has proved that he backed the wrong side again. If he wasn't into self glorification and indeed recognised the fact that Liberia had indeed achieved independence first then perhaps he would have learned from their mistakes and who knows perhaps Ghana would not be where it is today.Nkrumah's legacy all jokes aside is dangerous for Ghana. Because it simply wipes out all the efforts of all those who fought against colonialism pre 1900 . People fought the right for people like him and the founding fathers to get educated . It wasn't a right at the time, it was a privilege. Our forefathers including Nkrumah's forefathers were not stupid you know, there was a long struggle before him and them.
But because u may have been a victim of his education legacy just like I and many others were ,you may not realise that you were educated not to think for yourself, thereby trained never to research for yourself and perhaps become a victim of chew and pour syndrome. This stifles creativity. We were given limited books, and if u did not repeat what the teacher said EXACTLY you were failed even if you used a different synonym. PEOPLE THEREFORE WITH THE BEST MEMORIES THRIVED AND THATS WHAT BEEN REPLICATED TODAY ie CORRUPTION,LIES AND PROPAGANDA. If u realise our soceity in Ghana is ran by some Dr's and Prof and educated elite who chewed and poured and are still using the same old indoctrination and therefore cannot think outside the box. All they do is talk big and do nothing. No wonder churches are thriving for all the wrong reasons. If u want more of his legacies I can give you more . Loud mouths with good memories running some of the churches in Ghana and some stooping so low as to believe in getting powers for black magic to gain a congregation with the intention to exploit. Many of the church members, (and I go to church by the way) go to church to ask for many things which sometime frankly u could ask God at home for . Because people go to church to ask for help for conditions which are frankly caused by socio economic factors like access to clean water, sanitation and poor economic policies resulting from his legacy. If these simple needs are met frankly the witches would also get in the act of trying to better themselves, thereby allowing for educated priests to deal with 21st century needs. Ghana will continue to be where we are until we educate ourselves. Why Nkrumah never extended free education to Southern Ghana beats my imagination, yet he found money to support education in Soviet Idealogy for other African countries beats my imagination. I can even bet that you haven't even read Kwame Nkrumah's biography.

K B Asante who worked closely with Dr Nkrumah at the time, told XYZ Moro Awudu that: “…what I know is that Nkrumah’s policy, based on our intelligence reports and so on, did not favour ANC. We were then - I was the African Affairs Secretary - were supporting the Pan Africanist Congress (PAC) because they were more active; they believed in armed struggle, they were fighting for real independence for South Africa. ANC was there but we thought it was not that active”.
According to him, Nkrumah’s Government, after the Sharpville massacre on March 21, 1960, in which 69 South African students were gunned down, including 8 women and 10 children, by the apartheid Police and 180 others injured, should have reviewed its anti-ANC policy since Mandela had at the time, become a “freedom fighter” contrary to the “bourgeois” perception the Nkrumah Government had of the ANC.
“…We should have changed policy but unfortunately, the Bureau of African Affairs did not realise that things had changed; that Mandela and his group were then leading the fight, and so when he came here - in fact I wasn’t aware that he came, later I heard he came - they [Bureau of African Affairs] did not provide access”, K B Asante recalled.
EVENTUALLY WHO WON THE INDEPENDENCE FOR SOUTH AFRICA, WAS IT NOT THE ANC INSTEAD OF NKRUMAH'S PREFERRED PAC ? NKRUMAH DID SAME TO THE UGCC BUT UNFORTUNATELY GHANAIANS ARE SO NAIVE THAT THEY BELIEVED HIM.

War! War! War!!! Solves Nothing...
Nkrumah was always bellicose, belligerent, trouble seeking, violently radical and ready to have Millions of South Africans killed in armed struggle his own country Ghana had avoided. He was restless and full of beans...We shall fight against the Boertrekkers, and so sent in his gendamerie to Congo to niggle, interfere, and wage support for guerrilla war going nowhere...Poor Kwame Nkrumah and his senseless loud mouthed CPP veranda boys...
Then suddenly the Chief hawk was gone and entered the platform was Dr Busia - a most careful, simple minded politician advocating for a more mature sensible approach to dismantle Apartheid, a most heinous crime against Black Africans. They were criticised by the talkative loud sounding left wing Politicians in Africa, but Dr Busia, Kamuzu Banda, Houphoet Boigny stuck to the new master plan - Let's Dialogue With South Africa....It became a welcoming counter to the radicalised slogan of Sobukwe's PAC - Africa for Africans.
In the long run, who won? Was it violent confrontation or Constructive Engagement?
Dr Busia and chums have made Nelson Mandela a real icon through their argument for peaceful settlement than Nkrumah's agitation for violent confrontation.
We thank God Mandela did not meet this megalomaniac called Kwame Nkrumah...Samia was 2 years in 1962 and just telling porkies about her father recuperating in kunlungugu, which never happened anywhere...
Who says war is the only way to solve problems of this world? Nkrumah's War agenda was conquered by Dr Busia's Policy of "Let's Dialogue with South Africa".
Diplomacy not war made Nelson Mandela an African Icon loved by everyone in the World!

Asante says he didn't even know Mandela was in Ghana so how logical is his and your supposition that Nkrumah indeed did not want to see Mandela? What is the evidence for that supposition? None.
This mischievous lie was started by Cameron Duodu - a known anti-Nkrumahist, propagandist for both the military regime that overthrew Nkrumah, the NLC, and, for the BBC that referred to Mandela as a terrorist in the Apartheid years. Duodu cites a hastily-arranged Mandela interview at a South African airport in the 90's in which Mandela, upon learning that Duodu was from Ghana, MERELY states that he was in Ghana in 62 but was unable to see Nkrumah. Mandela was being factual and not COMPLAINING. But Duodu, being the anti-Nkrumahist that he is, turns it all around and fabricates the lie that Nkrumah did refused to see Mandela at the time. Duodu is a bloody liar because anybody who lived in Ghana, let alone work for the media, when Mandela was imprisoned knows that there was a government campaign - especially - on radio (GBC) in support of Mandela's freedom. The Ghana Young Pioneers even had a song they would sing for Mandela's freedom. For those of us who were kids at the time that's how we learned about Mandela and the Southern African liberation struggle -from the official government of Ghana campaign to free Mandela! We did not learn about Mandela from any Western pop stars in the 90's but from Nkrumah's government! The same Nkrumah that anti-Nkrumahist haters from Duodu to NPP's Baako and NDC's (and the US Embassy's) Pratt are now engaged in a DISINFORMATION campaign. How sad that K.B. Asante has now joined forces with them! Or perhaps he is doing what most of Nkrumah's ministers like Botsio and Kofi Baako (Kweku's infamous dad) did after Nkrumah was overthrown. By their actions ye shall know them!

In 1962, Mandela was a freedom fighter like other freedom fighters. Many of them came to Ghana in search of help and Ghana was a leading country helping others.
Mandela didn't need the permission of Nkrumah to fly to Ghana. He was not persona non grata in Ghana and he could come like others. But whether he say Nkrumah or not was the duty of the protocol people and the BAA (Bureau of African Affairs). They had to give him the chance to see Nkrumah unless Nkrumah himself specifically asked him to be put at the head of everybody wanting to see him.
When Asante said "in a way" we snubbed Mandela, he was speaking truly and metaphorically. He didn't say Nkrumah snubbed Mandela. But the way things turned out, it looked as if Ghana had snubbed Mandela. It doesn't mean Nkrumah said to Mandela: "Go away, I won't see you". That is not what Asante meant. He, Asante, also took part of the blame but by then he must have been a very young man in the BAA.
Let's face facts and stop insulting people without reason. This happening is not something for which Nkrumah has to be blamed. It just happened that way. And it was true that Nkrumah's government preferred the more radical PAC to the ANC which at that time looked like the conservative opposition in Ghana led by Busia and Danquah.
Both Nkrumah and Mandela would remain great Africans forever. Mandela fought for freedom for the blacks in South Africa. Nkrumah fought for freedom for Ghana and actively helped other African countries to fight for their freedom. By the time Mandela became president, almost all African countries had already gotten their independence and Mandela didn't have the chance to help other African countries to gain independence.
Let us celebrate BOTH Nkrumah and Mandela

Definitely, Mandela was the best. Afterall, he never resorted to violence as this was manifested in his reconciliation policy that has now brought South Africans together. Whilst Nkrumah molested his own people who had different opinions to his style of rule. Nkrumah shouldn't have forced the White people to leave, and should have concentrated on building Ghana first before thinking of a 'United States of Africa'. A policy I would describe as a 'Mission Impossible'. He squandered Ghana's money in the process as he used our money to 'bribe' other African leaders who thought otherwise of his united Africa policy. Yes, Nkrumah did well but not comparable to Mandela as a freedom fighter and to me he did a great deal of harm to us for not putting Ghana first.
Meanwhile, his children should stop making noise in Ghana and go back to the country where they grew up (EGYPT) and do politics.

The truth about what is really going on in Mali and with AFRICOM and NATO countries, especially France is a little bit like a geopolitical “Victoria’s Secret”—what you think you see is definitely not what you will get.
We are being told repeatedly in recent months that something supposedly calling itself Al Qaeda—the organization officially charged by the US Government as responsible for pulverizing three towers of the World Trade Center and blowing a gaping hole in the side of the Pentagon on September 11, 2001—has regrouped.
According to the popular media account and statements of various NATO member country government officials, the original group of the late Osama bin Laden, holed up we are supposed to believe somewhere in the caves of Tora Bora in Afghanistan, has apparently adopted a modern business model and is handing out Al Qaeda official franchises in a style something like a ‘McDonalds of Terrorism,’ from Al Qaeda in Iraq to Libyan Islamic Fighting Group in Libya and now Al-Qaeda-in-the Islamic-Maghreb.
I’ve even heard reports that a new Al Qaeda “official” franchise has just been given, bizarre as it sounds, to something called DRCCAQ or Democratic Republic of Congo Christian (sic) Al Qaeda. [7] Now that’s a stretch which reminds one of an equally bizarre sect called Jews for Jesus created back in the hippie days of the Vietnam War era. Can it be that the architects of all these murky groups have so little imagination?
If we are to believe the official story, the group being blamed in Mali for most all the trouble is Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM for short). The murky AQIM itself is actually a product of several behind-the-scenes workings. Originally it was based in Algeria across the border from Mali and called itself the Salafist Group for Preaching and Combat (GSPC according to its French name).
In 2006 Al Qaeda’s head guru in absence of Osama bin Laden, Egyptian jihadist Ayman al-Zawahiri, publicly announced the granting to the Algerian GSPC the Al Qaeda franchise. The name was changed to Al-Qaeda-in-the Islamic-Mahgreb and Algerian counter-terror operations pushed them in the past two years over the desert border into northern Mali. AQIM reportedly is little more than a well-armed criminal band that gets its money from running South American cocaine from Africa into Europe, or from arms dealing and human trafficking. [8]
A year later, in 2007, the enterprising al-Zawahiri added another building block to his Al Qaeda chain of thugs when he officially announced the merger between the Libyan LIFG and al-Qaeda in the Islamic Mahgreb (AQIM).
The LIFG or Libyan Islamic Fighting Group, was formed by a Libyan-born jihadist named Abdelhakim Belhaj. Belhaj was trained by the CIA as part of the US-financed Mujahideen in Afghanistan during the 1980s alongside another CIA trainee then named Osama bin Laden. In essence, as the journalist Pepe Escobar notes, “for all practical purposes, since then, LIFG/AQIM have been one and the same – and Belhaj was/is its emir.” [9]
That becomes even more interesting when we find that Belhaj’s men – who, as Escobar writes, were at the forefront of a militia of Berbers from the mountains southwest of Tripoli, the so-called Tripoli Brigade—were trained in secret for two months by US Special Forces. [10]
LIFG played a key role in the US and French-backed toppling of Libya’s Qaddafi, turning Libya today into what one observer describes as the “world’s largest open air arms bazaar.” Those arms are reportedly flooding from Benghazi to Mali and other various hotspot targets of destabilization, including, according to what was suggested at the recent US Senate Foreign Relations testimony of outgoing Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, by the boatload from Libya to Turkey where they were being channeled into the various foreign terrorist insurgents sent into Syria to fuel the destruction of Syria. [11]
Now what does this unusual conglomerate globalized terror organization, LIFG-GPSC-AQIM intend in Mali and beyond, and how does that suit AFRICOM and French aims?

In a political anti-colonial struggle you can not support two different military political organizations seeking even the same goals at the same time. For instance my organization was awarded scholarship to the then Soviet Union, but the only student union that the Soviets recognized was the Union of Ghana Students (NUGS)and our meetings were done underground. We held positions in NUGS, but at the same time some members of NUGS suspect us as being rather spies for the Soviet government. The fact being that some of us were politically matured before we went to the then Soviet Union. I also happen to study in Cuba for a few months and the Cubas, though they recognized my organization and granted it scholarship, and we knew each other, but we were never allowed to organize separately.
We have seen how such arrangements brought problems to Zimbabwe, Angola and Mozambique. Whiles in Cuba the training was of a military nature and though an opponent of the PNDC I was against creating further problems for the country through such fragmentation.
Mr. K.B. Asante is an administrator and a diplomat and not a military and is not aware of such problems. In an armed action there can not be two different commanders.

Simply put, Nkrumah used roughly ten years – 1957-1966 - to build “modern” Ghana. Even if Nkrumah squandered our money, credit should be given to him for laying the infrastructural, economic, educational, and nationalistic foundations of Ghana. What did Nkrumah steal from Ghanaians? The only house Nkrumah had was the one he built for his mother at the Nyaniba Estates. Yes, we may fault him for generously putting our money into the chest of African liberation, but even then it came from a noble calling, not a thievery one, and in the end some Africans gained from it. Combine all the achievements of the leaders of the post-Nkrumah era and they would not measure up to what Nkrumah achieved whether he squandered our monies or not. Put in perspectives what is happening in Ghana today, for example, the Woyomizations, Akomfems, GYEEDAs, Kufour Hotels, Drill Ships, etc. and you would end up canonizing Nkrumah as the only saint we have had in Ghana.

KB Asante, what is wrong with you. Is it dementia or what?. Far such an old man it does not speak well of you to get up and talk bull. The problem with the NPP-Mate meho is, they can never tell the truth about Nkrumah. The people of Wenchi did not vote for Busia. Nkrumah beat him from behind bars. When Mandela came to Ghana, he was not sacked or told to leave the country, he was well taken care of but this Silly old man is rewriting history, just making noise. I have never read an article from this old man on the web but all of a sudden, he knows better than anybody. We all know that nothing Kwame Nkrumah did pleased the Mate-Meho people and never will. They are the very people who campaigned against over Ghana's independence. K.B ASANTE WAS ONE OF THEM. TRAITOR.

So I don't think Nkrumah snubbed Mandela as the anti-Nkrumah propagandists are itching to paint him.

Never a chance to be missed by the anti-Nkrumahist forces and their diverse operatives, we see here a campaign begun on the solemn occasion of Mandela's passing! They pay tribute to and show respect for Mandela by starting a DISINFORMATION campaign against Nkrumah's role - as the most prominent advocate for African liberation from apartheid and colonialism.
And where is the evidence for Duodu's brand of journalism in this campaign?
None! his word. Only his word. Alas the people he cites as sources are all dead ,except for Genoveva Marais - a secondary source that Duodu never met in regard to his claim! Merely, a "they say, she said" source!
Let's start with Duodu's airport interview with Mandela.
"In the article, Cameron Duodu said: ‘I had been warned that A K Barden, director of Nkrumah’s Bureau of African Affairs, preferred the Pan-Africanist Congress to the ANC. [I later learnt that Mandela's informer was the raving beauty, Genoveva Marais, Nkrumah's very good "friend", who hailed from South Africa.]’"
So we are to believe Duodu's word alone. He writes "I had been warned that A.K. Barden..." BY WHOM was Duodu warned? Then Duodu goes on: "[I later learnt that Mandela's informer was the raving beauty, Genoveva Marais, Nkrumah's very good "friend", who hailed from South Africa.]’" Again, from whom did Duodu learn that Mandela 's informer was Genoveva Marais?
Quite conveniently, Nkrumah, Mandela, and Barden are all dead. Marais is still alive in South Africa and goes by the last name of "Kanu" - her late husband's name. Did Duodu bother to check with Genoveva about the allegation that she was the "informer" to Mandela? Apparently not but Duodu never missed the chance to cast aspersions on Nkrumah's friendship with Marais (Mrs Kanu)! After Nkrumah's overthrow in 66, it became one of the official stories spread by the NLC regime that Duodu served at GBC to tarnish Nkrumah's moral character that Mrs Kanu had been Nkrumah's mistress. 47 years later Duodu wishes to remind the world of that in an unconnected story!
It is no surprise that K.B. Asante has joined forces with Duodu. Most of Nkrumah's key ministers and CPP officials also betrayed him after the coup in 66. The most infamous betrayal came from Nkrumah's Minister of Defence, Kofi Baako, who arranged a press conference the day after Osagyefo's overthrow to denounce him with the most vile words not worth repeating.

All persons that knew Nkrumah and were praising/providing information for him to decide what to do are now coming out to prove how unfaithful they were at that time. When President Obama of USA visited South Africa and intended to visit with Mandela while sick, does that mean a "snub?". What do you expect to hear from a name of Asante - a hate of Nkrumah but hanged in there for his pay check. Just let Nkrumah rest peacefully and think of your future and how your record would be seen as hypocrites.
