There have been a few articles written on this site about genetically modified foods. The minister of Agriculture has been flip-flopping on this issue. First, I was full of praises when I heard about the ban on GM foods and a few days later he comes round to support GM foods.

Ghana gained independence in 1957 and lost it as we have become perfectly neo-colonized. This time the colonial masters are not coming to stay in the castle to direct affairs as they did so many years ago. They pass orders through our elected and appointed officials who ram it down our throats. In other cases they would pay respected people in the society to speak on their behalf. If a company like Monsanto sets up offices in Africa and promotes GM foods it?s a new form of colonization with profits as the ulterior goal. We are told to abandon our organic products in favor of GM foods. When we get used to it then we?ll spend our hard earned foreign exchange to import these seeds. Even if we pay in local currency, that money will be transferred abroad in the form of profits. And that contributes to capital flight. We have already passed laws as incentives to investors to transfer 100% of their profits. So what do we gain? There are jobs created but the pay is just enough for the workers to go to work. As of now a visit to Monsanto?s website shows they have strategically established offices in Kenya, Malawi, Senegal, South Africa, Tanzania and Uganda. They may already be in Ghana under the guise of an NGO and trying to influence our decision makers including our scientists. In an earlier article on Aug. 20 by Prof Abrokwah, he mentions some of these countries as having embraced this technology.

There is the argument about the increased yield per acre of GM crops but if we can improve on our farming methods, including mechanized farming in the northern part of Ghana, irrigation, good soil preservation and crop rotation, we?ll be able to grow enough organic food for local consumption and export without fertilizer. We need more silos to store grains. We?ve had the Workers Brigade, State Farms, Food Production division of the Ministry of Agriculture and there was no want of food. How come we produce 700 million tons of cocoa for export and can?t plant corn to feed ourselves? We have abandoned farming for the city. There is available land in the country for farming. And I can assure you, the best part of my life was spent on the plantations with my father who worked for the Ministry of Agriculture, Cocoa Division, and later with the State Farms Corporation. I tasted rural life and I know it?s the best life.

There are a lot of factors that have also affected our food production. We encouraged timber export that led to deforestation, which has in turn affected our weather pattern. The present government should be credited for investing heavily in tree planting whose effect will be felt in about a hundred years from now, provided we don?t cut them down prematurely. Although there are efforts to promote family planning, there should be much education on abstention. In the sixties when TV was introduced, we saw educational programs and we?ll sit in front of the TV in the daytime learning mathematics, but these days its mostly gyrating hips and foreign soap operas leading to more sex and irresponsible births and exponential growth of the population leading to more mouths to feed. We need to clean the airwaves by introducing decent movies and music. This will lead to a check on population growth. In 1980, the population was about 10 million and twenty-five years later it is about 22 million.

In the US if you go to the supermarket, organically grown food cost more than the GM foods. Organically grown foods are mostly sold in affluent white neighborhoods. In the beginning was the word and so should it be. God created a seed for each fruit on earth. So tell me why I should go to the supermarket to buy seedless grapes, or tomatoes that can stay in my refrigerator for three weeks without getting rotten. Anytime the farmer wants to grow the GM corn, soybean, or cotton, he has to go to a company that owns the seed to buy them. The company, which created it, owns rights to it. Any other company that tries to copy the technology has breached their creation and would be sued. If the wind blows and carries pollen from a GM farm to yours and there is cross-pollination without your knowledge or your fault, the owner of the crop will legally come after you. Can you imagine if a seed is created to grow yams or plantains? Even scientists here do not know the full impact of GM foods on humans and their environment. There is fear of creation of super weed that will be resistant to herbicides and super insects that will be resistant to insecticides. Some of the GM seeds have insecticides inserted in them; some of them have identification tags inserted that will enable owners to identify their crops. Is this what we want to eat?

The American government has established ASNAPP at Rutgers University in NJ to start analyzing plants from Ghana and Africa. This shows an interest in our products. If they were genetically modified, nobody in the western world would touch it. Organic farming is the way to go. The government has imported hundreds of tractors so we have to put them to good use by cultivating the land. Organic market is growing at a fast rate and will make agricultural products from Ghana preferred worldwide. And quoting Dr. Aggrey, ?Only the best is good enough for Africa?

Not only will they have to buy their seeds, but will have to buy their dangerous chemicals to spray their crops. Glyphosate, the active component in Monsanto's ROUND-UP has been found to be harmful to humans. Once these companies take charge of our food system, they will control us. It is a pity we do not have leaders who will thoroughly commit to studying bills to be passed than just passing it without thinking of its repercussion on the future.

After they abolished the slave trade they replaced it with colonization and after independence, they introduce war, upon all those mishaps and, the chaos they have caused in Africa the continent cannot rise on its own so African leaders seek something called foreign AID from western countries and remember, if the Devil promise to give you 10 percent of something, there are two things involve either he will demand 20 percent from you or you will succumb to his decisions so anything he tells you, you will do it or you give out your property and this is what is going in Africa or Ghana.

The new slavery system has taken over in our modern era, in this era is not about selling your follow human being to them, but selling your conscience to them. Then if modern slavery is about selling one conscience to the westerners then it means many Africa leaders have sold their conscience to them? Apparently yes. What I’m saying it takes critical thinkers and nature incliners to understand and know that am speaking the truth. Now Africans leaders have sold their conscience to the westerners, so the leaders are enemies to their citizens, so now Ghanaians or Africans are still slaves to west through their leaders. They have set our leaders as billboard but in reality they are still operating their slavery system and at this time with our prominent people of which some people consider them as literate in our society, that is why in my early written I stated that Ghana education is pseudo education with pseudo intellectuals it will be hard for any educational elites in Ghana to identify this if am lying.

But when you come to Ghana you see the western countries buying our national assets oh what a moron country with moron people, anyone who doesn’t believe in slave trade, this form of slave trade is there for you to see. Now in the olden day’s slavery, they were selling humans but at this time our billboard leaders are selling the national assets and have devalued our valuable things such as our education system and our currency. The back bone of any country is education; any countries which have good education system develops so as it currency as an economic factor, now how can we say about Ghana? Poor education system and poor currency oh Ghana why? Now the nation is financially handicap and the leaders have filled their tummy with the national money corruption has become a canker among our leaders.
Condoleezza Rice, US general secretary in former President Bush administration once attended AU meeting and addressed our leaders not to trust east or west because they are coming for their own interest but not the interest of Africa, but what do we see because our puppet or billboard leaders have sold their conscience to them they still follow them, no wonder we are still slaves. We are still slaves my brothers and sisters, let’s not deceived ourselves that we are in the 21st century so everything has changed, it’s still going on, our national assets are been sold to them now they have say in our affairs oh God have mercy on poor Africa Ghana, you’re not in chains so you think is not true but it is happening day in and day out right in front of your nose. When our leaders come as president ministers and mps, they only think about themselves and how to sell a nation asset to their master. How can a president after looting and sold the national assets through dubious means and upon all the money he looted still demanding for an ex-gracias? How a president can kill some people because they have some little amount of money in their accounts and also have borrowed money from the bank and this same president sold national assets to his wife, looted the state, devalued our educational system and then sent his children to school in abroad? How a president can increased his salary 100% and are paying huge amount of judgment debts to some people? How a president can devalue our currency, sold national assets and sent away his follow Africans to their country? So you see the list can go on and on without endless, they all puppet or billboard leaders who are serving and were served the interest of the west by sending us to slavery.
No matter how you will vote for NPP or NDC they are all puppet or billboard leaders whose aim is to send us to slavery so citizens be careful don’t let these people ideologies entice you to fall a victim they have done and have succeeded. So why are you worry about these stomachticians who called themselves politicians whiles we can kick them off? So why are you worry about our puppet or billboard leaders while we can kick them off? I try to let my people understand the reality of 1800 theory from Charles Darwin, it fresh in their memory and when copy east who also copied read it, is the same thing but the victimization is upon my people back the more foolish they become oh God save your people. FSG meets Parliament over Plant Breeders' Bill (Y)

Up to date, out of the 71 countries that have signed up to the UPOV Convention, only about 22 countries are from developing countries and most of these are members of UPOV 1978, while most developed countries are members of UPOV 1991. Compare this with the 166 number of countries which have signed up to the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety and to the Convention on Biological Diversity, which is even much more recent. It is not for nothing that at present, in Africa only Morocco and Tunisia are signatories to UPOV 1991, while Kenya & South Africa are signatories to UPOV 1978. The previous Convention of UPOV 1978 is no longer open for ratification and new members are only able to join UPOV 1991.

The rigidity and inflexibility of UPOV 1991 and the failure to appreciate the varying needs and conditions of developing countries has deterred many developing countries from joining UPOV 1991. It is thus not in the interests of Ghana to adopt a Bill based on UPOV 1991 or to join UPOV 1991. Ghana should investigate and explore other models on PVP (e.g. The Indian PVP law, the AU Model law) and design its own PVP regime based on its own needs and priorities in particular the interests of its farmers, its food security needs.

CONCLUSION

In the current Bill the farmers rights are subject to the discretion of the Minister of Agriculture, whilst the rights of foreign corporate plant breeders are put above the state! The Committee insisted that they had already put laws in place to protect the Ghanaian farmer, although FSG has not seen evidence of this.

On the issue of Clause 23, the Committee admitted it was worthy of consideration. Also accepted for further consideration was the issue of linkage of GMOs with the Plant Breeders' Bill.

After a passionate appeal from Ms. Samia Nkrumah, calling on the Committee to carefully examine the petition, the Chairperson of the Committee promised the petition would be given due consideration, and thanked Food Sovereignty Ghana for making our concerns available. The meeting lasted for almost two hours. We shall be coming out with a full report soon.

I can only imagine that those people designing this vaccine-induced population control measure might be sitting around a table chuckling to themselves and saying, "It's only the stupid people that are going to be killed off anyway, so this is actually helping the future of humankind!" (Their words, not mine.)
In a weird world government kind of way, this effort might actually be based on some distorted vision of philanthropy where some of the most powerful people in the world quite literally believe the way to save humanity is to kill off as many of the gullible people as possible. Vaccines are, in effect, an "evil genius" kind of way to conduct an IQ test on the population at large: If you go get vaccinated every flu season, you're not too bright and probably don't engage the kind of strong mental faculties that humanity will no doubt need if it is to face a future where it is now all but obvious we are not alone in the universe.
If humanity is to save itself from its own destruction and compete as an uplifted species in our universe, killing off the least intelligent members of society (or making them infertile) may appear to the world controllers to be a perfectly reasonable approach. I disagree with that approach, but it may be precisely what they are thinking.
In any case, choosing to receive a seasonal flu shot is undoubtedly an admission that you have failed some sort of universal IQ test, whether or not this is the intention of world influencers such as Bill Gates. More importantly, it is also a betrayal of your own biology, because it indicates you don't believe in the ability of your own immune system to protect you even from mild infections.
Perhaps the world vaccine conspirators figure that if people are willing to betray themselves anyway, it's not much different for governments and institutions to betray them as well. In other words, if you don't even care enough about your own health to take care of your health, why should any government care about protecting your health, either?
As you ponder this, also consider something else: The U.S. is going broke due to sick-care costs which are rising dramatically under the new federal health care reform guidelines. Can you guess the fastest and easiest way to reduce those health care costs? If you guessed, "unleash a hard-kill pandemic that takes out a significant portion of the weak or sick people" then you guessed right. Sadly, killing off those most vulnerable to sickness could save the U.S. government literally billions of dollars in sick-care expenditures. Plus, it would save Social Security yet more billions by avoiding ongoing monthly payouts. (Again, I am completely against such an approach because I value human life, but I also know we live in a world where the people in charge have little or no respect for human life and will readily sacrifice human lives to achieve their aims.)
As far as Bill Gates goes, consider his statement in the context of what we've discussed here: "The world today has 6.8 billion people... that's headed up to about 9 billion. Now if we do a really great job on new vaccines, health care, reproductive health services, we could lower that by perhaps 10 or 15 percent."
It suddenly seems to make a lot of sense when you understand that reducing the population reduces CO2 emissions, and using more vaccines on more people increases the death rate of the population.
My advice? Try to avoid being among those 10 to 15 percent who get culled through global vaccine programs. You will not only save your life, you'll also pass the "universal IQ test" which determines whether you're smart enough to know that injecting your body with chemicals and viral fragments in order to stop "seasonal flu" is a foolish endeavor.
Be healthy and wise, and you'll survive the world depopulation effort that victimizes conventional thinkers who don't have the intelligence to question what they're being told to do by their own corrupt governments.
