To say that Trokosi people are pathetic is not only disrespectful but a sweeping generalization. Is "Trokosi" the name of the Ewe group? According to GNPC, they won a case against SC in USA but the appeal filed in UK is the one led to the payment of the $19.5 million they claimed they paid to SC because they the government took over the case from GNPC and refused to defend it. So to me since they're the ones who made the transactions just provide the documents to prove your case so that we can move on.

These are two separate issues, and one doesn't contradict the other!!! On the one hand, in his submission to the GNPC board, Tsatsu may and could have defended/explained a $40 million debt claim by SG on the basis of the grounds/details of the claim.

On the other hand, taking into account SG's advisory role in the GNPC derivative transactions and, thus, "complicity" in the loss incurred, Tsatsu could still have deemed it fair and justified to offer SG only $12 million!

In other words, there could be a case for SG's demand for a $40 million; but there could be a better case for GNPC's offer to pay only $12 million!

If the first case, the SG claim, is a financial case, the second case, the GNPC contest, is a moral-cum-legal case! On balance, the second case seems to be weightier!
