The truth must be told, anokware John Mahama cannot do the job.
This guy came to the job offering no real vision for the nation, instead he only served up absolute nonsense - Ede be keke - which for some, loosely translates into just existing at the wheels, not knowing which direction to go. To add insult to injury, he is telling us that, like a car, he is only in the first gear in a four-year term, so we can expect to see a fourth gear only in the fourth year. To hear that allegory from a guy and a president who had been a vice-president for the previous four years, and claims that because of the ill-health of Atta Mess, he John Mahama was really the one in charge behind the scenes, then we have reasons to conclude nothing good or extraordinary can be expected that is different from what we have seen from the last four years. The value is going to be the same, and corruption is going to consume all of us under Mahama. Our people tell us, 'Edwa beso'a efiri anopa', to wit, one can gauge the prospects of a good market day from the signs the morning activities project. Right now the country is sinking fast from all reliable indicators. In the last four years, the cedi has depreciated a whole 100 percent under Mahama and Atta Mess. What other assurances are we waiting for? To be hit on the head with bricks?
Look, John Mahama is not cut for prime time, he does not know how, and all his protestations are excuses to cover incompetence and corruption in high places, of which him and his party are direct beneficiaries. What the fuck is Ede be keke? Nonsense!

AUTHOR : SULE ---------------In the 8 years that the Kufuor administration was in power, the country went HIPC and the NPP gov't put in place the needed policies and programs as well as pragmatic social intervention programs, and they made it clear that, they were not going to deal with these Bretton woods institutions. The economy grew and as at the time the Kufuor gov't was leaving power in 2008, Ghana was rated as a lower middle income economy.
In comes the dimwitted NDC gov't, and the results are there for all to see. During the administration of Kufuor, the Bretton woods institutions were there, but they had to beg to get Kufuor's gov't to listen to them and what they had on offer.
The current situation is just like the 80's and 90's when we had the PNDC and NDC gov'ts.
It is an undisputable fact that, the P(NDC) gov't does not have the mental capacity, acuity and the requisite brain power as well as the drive to achieve anything. They are simply inept and grossly incompetent and this is an undisputable fact. Governance is a serious business not for dimwits and the earlier, we all came to terms with this basic fact, the better it would be for our socio-economic developmental agenda.

Now, we can understand why Government should not privatize state owned properties vital to the state! It is not the best! But as a result of poor management and lack of seriousness and corruption among public officials and gorvenement appointees, the state is unable to run its own facilities! Now, private companies chase government for debts owned! Ghana needs true patroitics not nation wrekers who disguise themselves as politicians, but who are really not, because politicians are suppose to build and develop the nation but not steal and render the poor poorer!

Good one there at least I have seen a sensible person who can reason and think, first and foremost, what is education at all? In a country where I come from, they defined education as anyone who can read and write English language that is how they defined education in Ghana. A country where a lot of people look down upon those who can't speak and write English language do you think such country can develop no wonder Ghana is a country with good resources but the citizens are mentally weak unable to think and reason as well, they are still slaves to the so-called Europeans. They are still colonized mentally and physically but the reason is that they don't know that they are still under colonization. So in s nutshell that is how illiteracy is defined in Ghana. Then one may ask that how about the countries who are using their own language to study are they illiterates? a country like France, Germany, Japan, South Korea, Finland, Norway, China etc can we classify their education system as substandard because they are not using English language to teach in their institutions? Africans will always embraced everything from west and east without thinking deep and its side effect in the future and we hate our own things so tell me are we humans? We always lionize the oppressors and disowned ours and we called ourselves educational elites now listen to a proverb from Europeans to Africans “you can take a monkey from bush but you can't take bush from monkey" how are we going to interpret it? it's simple to Europeans, Africa is bush let's see how they describe Africa they use the word Sub-Saharan and the question is do we have sub-Europeans or sub-Asians or sub-Americans, etc look how they have cited Africa in a World map, Africa as a continent is always at the bottom of the World map, the question is why they didn't cite Europe, Asia, America and Australia at the bottom but only Africa think about it brothers and sisters, the proverb means an African a monkey can come to western or eastern country to study or do anything but because he/she is from Africa you can't take Africa mentality from him or her then the stereotype goes, they are less humans, they don't have food to eat, always fighting among themselves etc so why Africans shouldn't cling to their own and abandoned their stupid act but yet still Africans are upholding their language and their barbaric culture, 500 years we are still slaves so when are we going to emancipate ourselves as a people created by YHWH.
The time has come for Africans to come together as one people and put their difference away and unit as people it has been a long time in slavery and colonization. The time has come for Ghanaians to put away their difference and unit to develop their nation it has been a long time in slavery and colonization.
God of our fathers have mercy on us especially banana republic of Ghana. Ghana, Ghana a country with good resources I had wanted to gather my people under one canopy as hen gathered it chicks but my people have abandoned their wisdom through thinking and now following the way of westerners through their devilcracy which is called democracy so now my people cannot be able to manage their own affairs, my people do not appreciate things manufactured in their country, my people preach devilcracy and practice vices, my people preach patriotism but they are not patriotic, my people have lost their sense of judging and now we are in a doom state they can't differentiate good things from bad ones and now engulf with tribalism which has become a canker in the country through bogus so-called educational elites and stomachticians who called themselves as politicians to separate the people in other not to come together to fight against their evil planning. A voice calling from within shouting my people, my people come together to build your nation we were created in the same image not let this stomachticians separate you they are doing it for their own selfish gain so wise up, awake from your slumber, the day is far spent and the night is near so let's ignore all these tribalism stuffs and come together as one people because together we can build a better nation.
The only way Africans can develop is to use their own language to study and do everything and stop patronizing anything from east or west, a small country like Ghana we can’t develop it why? Because we have pseudo intellectuals who always claims that they are the best but in reality they are at the bottom of the pit, our education system is not good, our education system does not allow us to think inside and out outside the box so for Ghana to develop it needs critical thinkers and nature incliners who can put things together other than that it will take millions of years we will still be where we are. Anyone who wants to study Nature University can contact me wellsbrains2000@yahoo.com, whatspp 008613566124757 when you contact me tell me which my article that you are interested so we can discuss it deeply because I have presented numerous articles on this web

Bro' Naked, calm down. Much as we were enslaved and colonized by the English, it does not necessarily mean that we should reject their language which, unfortunately, has been our medium of communication for a couple of centuries.
Because of this, most of us think, communicate and relate with ourselves and others better with English.
Again, because of this, we must, unfortunate as it may sound, accept that many of our local languages will be gradually relegated into insignificance and may therefore not survive beyond this century.
It will be difficult to completely sanitize our society from many of the foreign cultural practices that were imposed upon us during that evil period up to now. Their language is one of such things but another one which is particularly bad is the practice of corruption and cheating.
We have learnt from them the despicable practices of belittling, looking down upon and the hatred of one another, excessive and sinful material acquisition beyond reason and to take from others what is not ours and to lie and cheat shamelessly to achieve these pursuits.
All these evils were forcibly instilled into us during the long period of slavery and colonialism.
The great Kwame Nkrumah tried to decontaminate the African from these sickening alien traits by making the effort to replace their decadent social and moral values with the sankofa values of an enriched African Personality philosophy - a rehashed philosophy of African cultural norms and way of life that offer more practicable methods for our development and greater incentives for Africa and its people.
Having stolen our wealth for several centuries to make themselves powerful, the English language has also inevitably become a global medium of communication and it is in our interest to know how to efficiently use it to the best of our abilities and convenience.
After all, some of the best known speakers of that language in the world today are in fact other nationals including Ghanaians. Then again, almost every Ghanaian has by virtue of speaking English as well as other local languages, become multilingual. A condition which puts us at a potentially greater advantage to know and understand the world better.

Innovation is what ECG needs way more than money. Because no amount of money to the useless educated bosses of ECG will ever get them do the job right.
Cross the border into Lome in the night and all is light. Streets are lighted all over. How come a country that imports power from us ends up using it efficiently for their people, and we who generate it lack the common sense to do the same, but use all the money on our fat salaries as "BIG TITLED" managers? Isn't consumers being charged for the same street lights?

Thank you AB. The first thing that crossed my mind when I read this article was, what street lights are they talking about putting off?
I live in Accra, the capital city of Ghana and I can say with confidence that I havent seen any street lights being on anywhere that Ive been to in the night in recent years.
Even the most strategic and critical areas are not spared. These include the Tema motorway, the Spintex road, 37 Military Hosital leading to the Presidential complex, the Ako Adjei overpass and beyond on the Independence Avenue to the Ridge Hospital, the National Theater, the 4-Star Movenpick Hotel, the Accra High Street, the Ohene Djan Stadium, the Black Star Square, one of the biggest hospitals in Africa the Korle Bu hospital and I guess every where else that matters.
So Mr ECG, dont waste your time and the little remaining resources you have at your disposal to put off the lights because those lights are already off.

Its the duty of the districts and regions to make sure their streets has lights not the national govt.
The distrcts and regions should budge for electricity and water that the govt departments and houses use.
The most stupid thing will be putting prepay meters in govt offices.
This govt should know by now how much to pay for electric and water used by the govt depts and make sure the money is at front to pay when the bill comes.
If ECG is really for Ghanaians, they should know how much the govt use in electricity and for the money and stop stupid things like turning off lights and prepay meters.
Ghanaians should know we use water to produce our electricity and maintains and expandiing is what the workers do.
How much money do ECG make a year from selling to foreign countries and ghana. Where do the money go, to the govt or pockets of thiefs working there.
ECG should tell as why they think turn off streets lights will make them money. The very people who ECG is suppose to serve are the very people they are against not the govt. The govt dont use streets lights, its the people.
Purnish people because the govt who owe the ECG is not paying its bills.
Stupidity at the part of ECG.
