Great article by all standards. Asking all the needing questions that one has to ask, and tracing the entire trajectory of the Shubah Info Solution Contract, even back into our budget readings. I like the conclusions made by Dr. Nii Moi Thompson ".....it perverts the very essence of the development process, making cynics of well-meaning citizens precisely at a time when we need the industry and commitment of everyone". Yes, we could be cynical, but for good reasons and it is only when we see nothing happening that we worry. I wait to read what people will say about this article

why are we so careless? this cannot be anything than a conduit pipe to siphon public funds and culprits must be made to answer. i think the first step is to interdict the GRA boss to make way for transparent inquiry into this 'scandal'

Despite all the noise and cacophony of Kufuor's NPP thieving gang, notwithstanding the attepmts to throw dust into the eye of Ghanaians, this government will root out corruption and show the NPP how it is done. Softly, softly, catchey monkey. Unlike the Asomdwehene who appeared to be running shy of the thieves either for reasons of political expediency or sheer lack of will,this Mahama guy is warming into the job. He will scrupuplously go after the thieves and bring them to book. There is no hiding place for them. Even if they go and take refuge in London pretending to be on holiday, Mahama is waiting for them. They will not get away with their murderous looting and turn round hypocritically to accuse government of not fighting corruption.

Professor probably lacked the will and purpose to go after the thieves masquerading as politicians, some of in his government but most of whom are former NPP politicians. This guy, in connivance with all who matter are milking the system to the bone. From sources, he takes away a whooping 35% of the assembly common fund deducted at source, for doing jack shit. In the UK waste management is waste management. What Zoomlion is doing is waste collection, which can be done better and cheaper by the indigenes. The Assemblies do not have the opting out option because some big guns are feeding fat on what guy gets paid. This the woes of Africa. If the westerners were doing things this way would they have money to support poorer countries? Time will tell, maybe GH needs another revolution because there is a lot of work undone

There are indeed more questions than answers. It is so sad how due diligence is relegated to the background in issues concerning the state. The earlier culprits are punished, the better.

I am surprised at the author and his logic. For the fact that the Chronicle news paper rported and the GRA admitted that some monies were paid make the whole transaction corupt? First of all I thought the author had read the agreement between the GRA and Suhah. Please read agreements before you leap. That is why we pay so much judgement debts. People like that takes office and because they do not understand and will not ask, go and abrogate a contract pretending to be nationalistic. The case goes to court and the state loses and pays 4x or more of the original amount. We as a people must not lect passion lead our judgement, especially because we think our political opponents are involved. Until we start to know the facts before we jump to conclusions and judgement this country will never develop.
