Whereas I am in agreement that Tsatsu cannot be tried for the sale of the drill ship, nor the events that led to the derivatives failure which caused the debt in the first place, I totally disagree with the skewed reason he gave.

First, Taatsu was not tried and cashiered into jail co of the drill ship, nor the derivative. Sam Jonah lost even a far, far bigger amount doing the derivatives biz and it is not even an issue for the NPP people.

Tsatsu was jailed for guaranteeing a loan for Valley farms, which defaulted and GNPC paid. The charge was that he didn't get a board approval to do that. One CANNOT use this trial and jailing to annul a completely different infraction, if there is one.

I wonder how stupid these so-called editors of papers in Ghana are in their reasoning.

Both parties are creating a ruling elite and there would not let up nor give so long as we claim and accept that we are in a so-called democratic dispensation. It is their intent to foist themselves on us and make sure the best of our lands become their personal property including all the resources therein. That is why we are to fight back and take our Ghana nation wreckers because they wouldn't let up today nor tomorrow. NPP poo, NDC poo, they are all the same and frankly, I don't believe any other political party will be able to fix Ghana within a Four (4) year period or even Eight (8) yrs simply because , the challenges that is bedevilling our country are immense and numerable therefore we ought to clean house completely and re-programme our civil service, whiles we put in place all the necessary mechanisms to measure productivity, both within the public and private sectors of our economy. As a matter of urgency we should re-orientate and put more emphasis on apprenticeships that are in themselves job generative for the present, and future. We should as a matter of grave urgency also change the training and teaching syllables in our training colleges and Universities to be consistent with our needs and aspirations as a country 1st and foremost. All the mechanisms of governance that our former leaders like : Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, Gen. I K Acheampong, Abrefa Busia, Flt Ltn. Jerry John Rawlings be used where they are helpful to make our country move forward as a united, sound economy with a very strong and pro-active armed forces and police force.
Indigenous, OWNERSHIP of sensitive branches of enterprises within state should be encouraged and positively made to happen. For it is only when we own as many of the resources we exploit would we have the power to dictate and determine which direction our finances go. It will also be prudent to as a matter of urgency invest heavily in housing for the people.

Tsatsu was prosecuted for loaning GNPC money to a friend and as a surety which was lost because the friend farming or business venture failed. Tsatsu was sent to prison not on the drill ship issue.

I don't know if Tsatsu has committed any crime for hedging on oil price by using GNPC money but if he did something wrong, he can be charged because this drill ship issue is a different matter from the one he went to prison for.

the drill ship was bought under NDC rule and sold after NPP was in power for several years, it was NPP ministers and presidents who are responsable. all you can blame Tsatsu was the fact that maybe he shouldn't have bought the ship or under him maybe the GNPC defaulted to pay to SGSSB.

Tsatsu Tsikata set up a corporation for the oil industry just like Samsung and other giant Japanese companies, who are in drilling of crude oil, electronics, household electrical appliances, refining of crude oil, salt industry, agriculture and hospitality industry. So what Tsikata did at the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation was not different from what what giant corporations did. The problems of Mr. Tsatsu Tsikata is that he beat most of those who think that they are patriotic, but can not bring anything to the Ghanaian table.
They thus team up with their foreign doll masters to punish him and at the same time send the message to any Ghanaian or African who want to excel. Some one may ask me what has electronics got to do with crude oil. Computers for analysis and deep sea cameras for the drilling of wells, and let me leave not telecommunication. Those who do not know that salt is needed in the crude oil industry, refining and distilling salt water must keep their peace and stop washing their dirty pants in the view of the world public. Why does the majority of Ghanaians, especially the rightist like trading their ignorance and absurdities.

This country called Ghana is a poor country despite its mineral worth which counts for nothing with technology and intellectual know how. He engaged in some financial investments in order to raise money for his dept.If you are familiar with finance you will realise that it can go either way. The poor man did all the hard work yet when his goal of finding oil was realised under a new govt he was jailed for malfeasance. The beneficiaries of his hard work are Kufour and his Ashanti clan,Edusei and Owusu group,Cosmos and some hangers-on of Kufour. It is no secret that if Tsatsu was Ashanti he will not have been jailed. The hatred for Ewes in Ghana had a lot to do with it.I am curiously waiting for your relevation about the GNPC.
