If Essien is still as good as your report suggests why is he still warming the bench in the main league games? He remains an unused sub for as long and don't even make the sub bench sometimes. One eyed man is always the King ...

Essien plays for a club with the fourth highest payroll in the world. They don't have a shortage of good players, especially in the midfield. Jose had no problem using Essien last year in Madrid, and as the season goes on wil ...

Thank you, Moses. Thats a good advise. Sometimes you just have to tell it as it is. That's 'tough love'. I hope Michael has contemplated these and has plan of action. If not, maybe his agent might help him figure it out.

Essien showed the world that he still has it in abundance. He controlled the game from the middle when it mattered and put in the well measured passes throughout the game. World class display from Essien.

It doesn't have to be exceptional. If he plays well when his chances arise and is healthy for Brazil, who is going to complain?

  • Tonado 10 years ago

Essien must get his ass going and ask for a loan to a top 10 or mid-table team to get regular football under his sleeve.

Chelsea are just deceiving him with the armband so he can stay as a backup in the backline.
    Let Essi ...
