Passengers should be bold to caution a driver when he starts driving recklessly. May their souls rest in perfect peace.

When the passenger buses are driven by illiterates who resort to speeding recklessly, and the passengers sit idly by and watch, this is what happens. I wonder how many lives it will take before law enforcement takes any action. Speeding drivers should be arrested and their passengers fined for aiding and abetting. That said, the road should be a dual carriageway. It is ridiculous to have a major highway with single lanes going each way. When these slow trucks get in front of you, you are left with breathing the fumes they spew out for miles. The drivers do not have the courtesy to move aside for traffic to clear.

Question : As driver , when you notice that another car is trying to overtake you , what will you do ?
Answer : I will reduce my speed to enable the car to overtake me to avoid any collision with an oncoming vehicle.

I traveled the Accra Cape Coast road. It is one of the worst roads in Ghana. Although paved, there are too many hills that allow one not to see what is coming from the other side, unnecessary curves, and too many slow trucks that build up traffic for miles. As a result, drivers become anxious and engage in reckless over-taking.

Cape Coast Accra road needs to be re designed and construct ,we cannot have such thin line road which links ACCRA the capital to that of two regional capitals.

The number one killer of motorists and passengers is overspeeding.Number 2,is alcohol intake.No:3,careless overtaking,no:4 is tiredness and no:5 poor road signs and lack of control.Accidents happen anywhere in the world but police must control overspeeding and speed limits always to put fears in careless drivers.I am from Sekondi but leaves in Accra when I go to Ghana.I have observed that Ghanaian drivers don't respect road signs at all and the police are also on the roads to collect money from offenders. To reduce accidents, the first step is to reduce speed limits where necessary and control drunkards and tiredness especially on the big truck drivers.Thank you.

There are several warning signs posted on the road about reckless driving, but I donot believe drivers heed to the signs, just after a sign that says " 20 Pesons died here because of excessive speed" , this idiot driving a 207 bus , overtook me in a blazing speed just before a dangerous curve. This sort of reckless driving is what is killing many on our roads. I don't let anyone drive me when I visit Ghana. Most of the drivers are reckless and don't care about life. This accident was clearly avoidable.

Takoradi-Cape Coast-Accra road is becoming dangerously busy and needs to be turned into Dual-Carriage. If Ghana is encouraging ECOWA business then this road needs to be fixed fast because Ivory Coast trucks and other vehicles use it so it has become an international road. So Ghanaian gov'ts mean to tell Ghanaians they haven't figure this out? How many innocent West African people should die on this road? Haba.

During the recent reconstruction of the road we lost the opportunity to dualize the stretch even when it was obvious traffic was going to increase with the growth of the oil industry. It is not too late to redesign this road and avoid the headlong collusions.
Our collective myopia would kill us all.
