This means that he has no vision for ghanaians students and gahna as whole. University of south africa is solely distance learning institution in africa and the whole world. why can't legon do the same in order to absorb our qualified students? Enough of these doomsday statistics. The impression should not be that these 39,000 are left in the cold. Practically all applicants do multiple applications to the tertiary institutions. Researchers should therefore find out the agregation of all admissions to all institutions and compare that with the total number of applicants nationwide. until then these stats are useless.

Why don't we look at introducing Coop Education as in some western countries where students alternate between 4 months school and 4 months work? And before you say where are we going to find the jobs, just remember that there are now close to 40,000 students who couldn't get admission somewhere out there knocking on doors looking for jobs. Besides, Coop learning will lengthen an undergraduate program by only 8 to 12 months. That beats the alternative by a wide margin. At least we could try a pilot program for some courses. It will ease the strain while at the same time providing equal opportunity to all students.Just a thought.

Where are the universities of the size of KNUST, Legon, Cape Coast that the Mahama/Amissah Arthur administration promised to be ready so that these universities could absorb some of these students that have been left out of the loop? What future holds for these students in the absence of employment for even those who have graduated but don't have any jobs? What are these eligible students going to do? Where are the NDC promised universities? Have they been started? When are these universities if they have been started going to be completed to start admitting prospective students? Did Mahama/Amissah Arthur just promise just about anything knowing very well they couldn't deliver? Where are these universities to be located and where are the lecturers for these universities? Ghanaian parents, Ghanaian students, and the masses are waiting for the Mahama/Amissah Arthur administration to deliver on the universities the size of Cape Coast, Legon, KNUST, etc, etc to be ready as promised, to provide the very future, the very human resource base to drive our growth in the years ahead, the promised universities to assure and ensure them of the necessary and required education to propel our growth and development objectives.
