Certainly with the amount of injustice this policeman has done to people resulting in so much pain and grief, God had to teach him a small lesson.

Ghana police personnel are so inhuman and cruel they happily twist facts against you just to extort money from you. You can go with your complaint against someone who wronged you and the police will receive a bribe from the wrongdoer and start harassing.

May the curses on this evil policeman follow his descendants to four generations.

I am sorry to contradict your negative opinion about the Ghana Police Service. Ghana's police personnel are much more understanding and humane than those of the calm and peaceful country known as Canada.

Even here, the police are too trigger-happy. With an electric tacer or a real gun, they readily shoot to kill. They shoot poor and homeless people; they shoot intoxicated people; they even shoot people with mental problems ... all without any convincing reason. If you react to their order "too slowly" or even ask a question that seems to challenge their mighty ego, your action can be construed as "resisting arrest", and you could be shot. And the police will get together and fabricate a defensive lie. But the abundance of mobile-phone cameras are now provinding graphic evidence and making things tough for the Canadian police.

A Canadian friend who once lived in Ghana and continues to follow events in Ghana told me one day, "The Ghanaian police may be corrupt; but at least they are intelligent enough to know when not to shoot".

From what I know, the Ghanaian police culture derives directly from that of the universally well-respected British police. The training the Ghanaian police receive in the UK is probably the world's best. The British legacy is great and should be preserved. Judging by the unfavourable working conditions of the Ghana police, I think they deserve much more credit than we give them. To build on the British foundation and improve, all they need to do is intesify adaptive and refresher training.

This indeed is very devastating.Fire outbreaks are becoming too rampant and unless people who through their negligence or stupidity are sued at courts and are made to pay for damage to an innocent cop then Ghanaians should be prepared to leave with this negligence.People and for that Ghanaians should learn to write comment on issues that touch on sensitiveness and comments that one cannot prove in courts.They need to stop generalizing .Not all Cops are corrupt and vengeance belongs to to God. Shame unto those useless and primitive comments.

God emphasises not to have any hand in any temptation.( God is not mocked, and he will not offer a shelter and consume it by fire. He offered booty to his chosen people: they lived in houses that they did not build, they drank wine produce from vineyards, they never cultivated) the most blessing through this incident is that no life was lost. amen. being too emotional is a sign of immaturity, and our commentaries are filled with partisantry. no maturity , no growth, means no progress.unlike wealth, a nation's growth is collective. that is why in the old testament era some were simply killed when they refused to serve their God. dear friend keep your argument for iran's current affairs. my cry falls on diaspora the major contributor. when people are refusing to recognise how God has been kind and faithful to some of us for bringing us out of these similar untenable situations.
