Dear Brother Kojo T,
How are you doing?
I read your reaction to my friend on "Do We Want Jesus Christ Or Prophet Muhammad To Rule Ghana?"
I could not join you and others because I used up all my 10 slots.
The other issue is that he has all the right info on me but I still can't figure him out.
I have many friends in Massachusetts but those I know had left the state. And he hasn't sent me an email yet to help me know who he's.
Anyway, I am happy to hear what President Mahama had to say. We need to move from words to action.
In all fairness, telling our stories is one of the core tenets of Afrocentricity. It's taught in Afrocentric classes.
I have made several statements to that effect in many of my articles.
I have been reading your comments on many pieces. Sometimes I am forced to conclude that you have Afrocentric blood.
What do you have to say to that?
Thanks.

Everything that goes on in our country, our foreign neighbours know esp. in this digital age. Nothing goes no unnoticed so Prez. John Mahama shouldn't try to fabricate any untruthful stories through the media. They even know that you goofed in the US by posing in front of CNN. They also know about the 2012 election fraud and the bogus August 29 Supreme Court verdict. And as well they know of the horrible economic situation that Ghanaians are going through right now under your incompetent NDC govt. Just be real and face facts as they are. Stop dreaming and focus on getting solutions to worker's demand and fixing the ailing economy. That's all you need to do, than finding ways to bury your head in the sand like an Ostrich. That won't help you or the country.

Good Mr President but you must take the initiative for the change to commence by encouraging all the departments/sectors to be proud in Africa. Our language, history, tradition, culture, art various religion, commerce and our ethnic and cultural make up instead of being foolishly and ignorantly hyping into other foreign, in particular, Western, American and other European communities. All this nonsense about' don't speak vernacular' in our schools must stop otherwise it would degrade our languages and demoralise our interest and motivation to learn our rich languages. The education system must ensure that our curriculum and teach our irrelevant and proud African history, culture and geography etc. Our homes i.e parents also have a big roles to play so must be encourage to be part of bringing about the change.
Our educated ones or scholars and the academicians must be encourage to undertake research, write text books and be proud to share and part with knowledge with all the challenges instead of treating it as an intellectual monopoly. We are the only people who can promote ourselves. People can only help us but they will NOT promote our aims and interest.

MY COMMENT:
ANY GHANAIAN WITH AN OBJECTIVE MINDSET KNOWS THAT THESE TERRIBLE CONDITIONS ARE ALL TOO PREVALENT IN GHANA AND THE ENTIRE AFRICAN CONTINENT.
THAT'S WHY MANY AFRICAN MIGRANTS BRACE THE DANGEROUS OCEANS AND DESERTS JUST TO ESCAPE FROM THESE INCLEMENT CONDITIONS.
IT'S ALL A BIG SIGN OF LEADERSHIP FAILURE AND HOPELESSNESS IN GHANA AND THE ENTIRE AFRICAN CONTINENT.
IT IS THERFORE TWERPISH OF ANYONE TO THINK THESE CONDITIONS DO NOT EXIST IN GHANA AND INDEED AFRICA.

Do westerners wash their dirty linen in public?
how often do they show their problems such as..........
alcoholism

prostitution

i do agree with the president
we all know that the continent has problems but this is shown in a too exagerated and sometimes even racist way.
they might show the problems we as africans have but the western media never discusses or searches for the ROOT CAUSE OF AFRICAS PROBLEMS:
One root cause for africas current problems is that there is still that colonial structure , white supremacy the fact that Europe has supported lots of dictatorships and were involved in the killings and deportations of african leaders such as our own Kwame nkrumah, patrice Lumumba or the late gaddafi. the western media never tells us that western institutions such as the world bank, IMF etc force africans to take loans which they have as twice as they got.
With the colonial structure i mean that everything the colonial masters set in place it is still there:
for example : We export our raw materials while we must then import their finished goods.
we blindly accept their values and name them ´international´ or modern while our own values are seen as ´old´, ´barbaric´ , ´primitive´.
Why do we always have to see that
black means poor, backward, primtive
and white means rich, wealthy , superior.
One thing we must not forget is that the media is a powerful institution which shape our opinion towards africa.
So with all the negative reports it gives us africans an inferiority complex and causes us to hate our identity.
the middle eats has problems, asia has problems so why should people of african descent be the only people on the tv to be shown as scapegoats and outcasts or as losers.
In other words, Africans should lie about the situation on the continent. When it is a sheep, say it is a cow. Thank you.
This is the way to go. Free the minds by the African telling the correct version of the story of our heritage. For too long we have accepted the 3rd rate being given us . Only when our minds are free can we also move forward
