Political and security situation
In Cairo, since early 2011, protests have taken place near the Constitutional Court and the Presidential Palace, Tahrir Square, the Maspero area of downtown Cairo, the Abasiya district, the Israeli embassy in the district of Giza, the US Embassy in the Garden City district, Simon Bolivar Square and the Muhammad Mahmoud area.
Demonstrations often happen on Fridays but can occur at any time and with little warning. The atmosphere at demonstrations can change quickly and without warning. Police may use tear gas for crowd control. Reports suggest that a few of those attending demonstrations are armed and that arrests have been made of people intending to cause violence.
Since former President Morsi was removed from office on 3 July 2013, there have been violent clashes between the opposing groups and the security forces. Most of the clashes have taken place in Cairo, Alexandria and Mansoura, but there have also been clashes elsewhere, including, Luxor, Assyut, Suez, Ismaliyya, and Qena. The Red Sea resort of Hurghada has seen limited protests. The Red Sea resorts in South Sinai, including Sharm-el-Sheikh have remained calm throughout.
On 14 August security forces ended sit-in protests in Cairo, near Cairo University at Giza and at the Rabaa Al-Adaweya mosque in Nasr City. This resulted in at least 500 deaths. Violent clashes also occurred near Mostafa Mahmoud Square in Mohandiseen, Cairo. On 17 August there were further violent clashes in Ramses Square and at the Al Fatah Mosque between protesters and security forces.
In Alexandria, demonstrations have centered on the Ibrahim Mosque and the area of Sidi Gaber. There have also been clashes between groups of demonstrators in Suez, Ismalia and Port Said Governorates. Further demonstrations are likely. Protests and disturbances have blocked roads in parts of Egypt including Sinai, Aswan, Qena, Suez and between Luxor and Hurghada.
A US citizen was killed in demonstrations in Alexandria on Friday 28 June. Press reporting suggests that he was stabbed after being seen to be filming the demonstration. Other press reporting suggests that some of those demonstrating in Tahrir Square and elsewhere are hostile and suspicious of any foreigners present. British and foreign nationals have been arrested during demonstrations.
Serious sexual assaults on women have happened during some demonstrations in Tahrir Square. More than 40 rapes and sexual assaults of Egyptian and foreign women were reported at demonstrations on 30 June.
Follow the news on television and radio closely, and take advice from the authorities, hotels and tour operators. Stay away from demonstrations and large gatherings of people. If you become aware of any nearby protests, leave the area immediately.

God is but the earth quakes, God is yet disaster strikes and lots of people lose their lives or get serious injuries. This is why the bible says "people perish for lack of knowledge" Who in his rightful mind will wake up in the morning and ask God "today should I go to work or not? Should I eat, drink etc? The answer is none because it's a daily routine and you have to pursue it to make ends meet. You don't walk through fire for fun hoping that God will protect you, no. We're not scared of Egypt, not even one bit but caution must be taken to bring our players back alive that's our concern. You can't play God in this?

The last thing a football player wants to do is to look over his shoulders during a football match as crucially important as Ghana V Egypt. We have really trounced Egypt in the first leg. Similarly, the Egyptian spectators can devise means to frighten our footballers and supporter into losing about 8 goals to say 1 or two. This is a possibility. Sadly, we cannot trust our |Northern African brothers. They are simply unpredictable.
The match must be changed to another non-war-torn country of Egypt's choice otherwise our Government must take the issue up with FIFA. It would be unreasonable to expect us to play in Cairo at the moment.

In a forest a fox bumps into a little rabbit, and says, "Hi,
junior, what are you up to?"
"I'm writing a dissertation on how rabbits eat foxes," said
the rabbit.
"Come now, friend rabbit, you know that's impossible!"
"Well, follow me and I'll show you." They both go into the
rabbit's dwelling and after a while the rabbit emerges with a
satisfied expression on his face.
Comes along a wolf. "Hello, what are we doing these days?"
"I'm writing the second chapter of my thesis, on how rabbits
devour wolves."
"Are you crazy? Where is your academic honesty?"
"Come with me and I'll show you." As before, the rabbit comes
out with a satisfied look on his face and a diploma in his paw.
Finally, the camera pans into the rabbit's cave and, as everybody
should have guessed by now, we see a mean-looking, huge lion sitting
next to some bloody and furry remnants of the wolf and the fox.
The moral: It's not the contents of your thesis that are important --
it's your PhD advisor that really counts.
THE LION CALLED THE BROTHERHOOD AND EGYPTIAN FOX CANNOT BE TRUSTED.

It's good that our players are raising the "Red Flag" to inform FIFA of the dangers our team faces in return match scheduled to be played in Cairo for the WC-2014 qualifying.
I'd like to urge all concerned Ghanaian fans to write to FIFA HQ. and express their concern. That way the Football Federation will listen. I wrote to FIFA in Zurich, Switzerland a couple of weeks ago via internet, and fan should do well to do the same. Just logging on to their website and posting our messages will help a great deal. We cannot afford to lose a single soul of players and officials. We want them back in whole after the match.
Meanwhile, the country is besieged with hostile and violent militants who do not care about the principles of life and security. FIFA in this instance is responsible to for the security of Ghana's contingent.
Egypt isn't the same peaceful country it used to be some years ago. The country is in turmoil; everything is upside-down. There're political and religious factions in Egypt right now and the UN knows about that. It's time for FIFA to make the right decision to avert any football disaster.

Yes! Because Uganda didn't win; the Egyptians spared them their lives if the results had been different. This is what you should know. Egypt hasn't been to the WC for a long time and their rowdy citizens want them to qualify by all means even when it's clear that beating Ghana by 5-0 will be impossible. We won't go there to draw; we're going there to beat them in their own backyard and that's where the problem lies. You seem not to care for the safety of our contingent. You're so excited by the 6-1 victory we had in Kumasi. Think twice before you make any comments.

Meanwhile we hope Coach Kwasi Appiah will do well to refine our team's ball possession, distribution and ball control etc. We have to sharpen our attack too and to tighten our midfield and defence with he arrival of the great one, Michael Essien, Muntari and Ayew. Let's go to Egypt and play total football. The goals will come naturally when we dominate the entire game. They Pharaohs will try to use dirty tricks like diving for penalty and feigning injury etc., just to have the referee help them with spot kicks, free kicks etc. We have to be very prepared for any eventuality. The Egyptians are great actors and we must go there and out-play them in front of their home fans.
