Much earlier, he led the matemehu gangsters to Britain to lick the ass of the queen and beg her not to grant independence to Ghana. It is because of these non patriotic deeds that Acheampong booted him out after 2 and a half years

Busia was a wicked and self-centred individual and his records are not enviable profile for reading or emulating by our youth.
Remember- the supply and the throwing of bombs to dis-stabilise Ghana.
-remember his effort in writing to UK Parliament not to grant Ghana Independence because he felt we were not ready to govern our country and our destiny.
- remember Salah case where he displayed his anger ( no court, court!)and total disrespect for our Constitution and the Judiciary?
-remember his infamous and inhuman and unintelligently formulated Alliance Compliance Order where the lives of many of our Nigerian brothers and sisters and their Ghana families were socially, psychologically and financially destroyed.
-remember he made the state pay him his 1 year salary in advance when he resumed office as the Prime Minister. How many Ghanaians in our history ever received a year's advance salary/wages?
-remember the financial mess he caused the Nation by his irresponsible and incompetent actions in creating conflicts in his cabinet especially, in the Finance Department by asking Dr Jones Ofori Atta (Deputy Finance Minister) to make mini budget and other financial decisions anytime J.H.Mensah, the Ministry of Finance was out of the country and in some instances, for only a day or hours. He simply did not like J.H. Mensah.
He caused similar trouble between Yaw Victor Owusu and Boafo Adade regarding the Attorney General's post. His incompetence as a leader seriously retarded the progress of the Nation.
Busia was nothing but a failure and there is nothing proud about him credible enough for the nation to admire. I don't however, condone to the desecration of his tomb.

Prime Minister Busia was not just one of the founding members of the NPP tradition, but an accomplished scholar and a leader of the country. It is extremely important that, his legacy, resting place and role in the development of the country is protected and accorded the necessary respect and reverence, he deserves. The NPP executive and the party should be seen to be championing this cause, and ensuring that, the stature and legacy of Prime Minister Busia is held in utmost esteem. It is very interesting to note that, Hon. Osei Ameyaw, has not visited the BA region before and as such Wenchi. I applaud the effort and the initiative he has taken to best honour the memory of the Late Prime Minister Kofi Abrefa Busia.

Where the hell are the MPs from Wenchi and other parts of the Brong/Ahafo region? Why should somebody from far away Eastern Region to share his concerns and offer to pay to restore the grave to its original glory, while the B/A MPs are sitting on their fat asses and eating bush meat? I’m not from there, but I can see the honorable thing that this non-native of B/A is doing.

These are some of the damn problems we have in Ghana. Electing FOOLS, CORRUPT, UNCONCERNED-GREEDY and DO-NOTHING NINCOMPOOPS to steer the affairs of the regions & country. The MPs and concerned people from the B/A region should be the first in line to help handle this. So, stranger Mr. Ameyaw, the people from that region should be thankful to you and SHAME ON THE B/A NEGRO BUFFOON MPs.

I personally believe that we must give credence to all our Gold Coast politicians. They all had heir faults, and perhaps were not so broad minded to recognize the magnitude of building a larger and diversified nation. I am a deep southerner so I am not too fond of most of these "interiorist" who migrated to Accra in the 40's, 50's and 60's to be educated and civilized, then with that acquired knowledge begin to undermine an entire group of people. They all deserve what they got then, but of course it has made Ghana a unique nation. From what I read about these Matemehos and Busia, one cannot but despise their actions, nonetheless, we have to respect and honor them for their role in the shaping of the Great Gold Coast (Ghana).
