African politicians and government officials, no matter how MATURE they are, have no sense of knowing when to call it quits or say good bye to a political position. Look at the likes of Mobutu, Ghagbo of Ivory Coast, Qaddafi of Libya, mustachioed & bone-headed Mugabe of ZIM, etc., etc.

In Nana Addo's case, I think he is doing the right thing. He should SHADE OFF that “undying ambition to become a president”. Nobody was born to be president and in Murphy Law, many things in life happen in the opposite direction: "The more you want something, the less likely that you get it” and that's what has happened to Nana Akuffo Addo. I think he LOVED ITTOO MUCH to become president and that's why he has failed twice. Winning only 2 regions out of 10, regardless of the population density, tells smart people that your ass doesn't have much national or crossover appeal.

And, although his ardent supporters will be aggrieved by this decision, because they will forgo the SPOILS they would otherwise enjoy if he became president, I think he is making the right decision now. IT IS TIME TO GO and this will SAVE him from a great deal of SHAME and TRASHING if he contested for the third time and LOST—which is highly possible in 2016.

Nana, there are many things in life than becoming a president or a king and I'm glad that you're finding it to be true. Go and live your peaceful life (at your age), enjoy your family (wife, children, grandchildren, relatives and friends) and be content with it. Just pack your damn marbles and go home. AND, THAT’S A GOOD CALL for the party—if, indeed, it’s true!!

Ghana Presidency is never meant for the tribe Akim period!. If J. B. Danquah and Ofori-Atta could not win in their generation(s), what makes Akufo-Addo think the Ashantis will give him another chance to loose. Mrs. Akufo-Addo do not want to taste what Mrs. Mills is going through now. If the husband has to take almost three months to treat himself after election campaign, how many years does he have left after 2016 campaign stress of yet another contest. Nana should not try again or he will stand a divorce challenge from his wife more serious than political campaign. Nana, you are not born a president as your uncle was not. Your father at least had the honourary ceremonial Busia's gift and a beer named after him. That is enough for the family. You also have a legacy of a slogan - "all die be die". It is time for Ashantis to run again for two times before Akim has a chance after Brong and Ahafo. NPP is run as Ashanti chieftancy of inheritance. Nana,die with grace!
