The problem is not going to or not going to church. Presidents of other countries go to church all the time but they don't get on the microphone and start acting like they are preachers. They quietly sit in the congregation like everyone else. I don't understand why it is necessary to give the president the platform any time he visits a church -- I guess it is a way to promote the churches in the pastors thinking. In any case how many times does he have to do this thanksgiving thing. It is over, you are the president -- roll up your sleeve and get to work.

We don't even attempt to have class distinction amongst out citizens. It is for this reason that we will never progress. Who the FUCK are you to tell the President when and how often he can attend to pay homage to certain churches?

The trouble with Mahama-Haters is that too many uncivilized, uncouth and backward people managed to get free education, so they have to assume that they can roll with the classy, well polished and refined Ghanaian. NPP is full of such characters. Everyday I log in here, all I here is sycophants giving the most powerful man on the land, instructions and how to lead. Just to let you know that I always pass through Mahama's home town (Bole) before going to Wa where my village is. But hey, Mahama must sit up and do the job and stop talking too much. Every day Africa is going to do this, Ghana is going to do that is best known of him in recent times.I don't criticize him for going to church whatsoever, the only thing I wish he could do is to pray for himself and others. Also, it is require of everybody including the president to pray for forgiveness of sins each day because we might have committed those sins as we step out in the morning through to evening. As each day pass by, we are human and may probable think sin, talk sin or see sin. That is why we must pray for forgiveness of sins before bed each night to reconcile with God. It is important for Mahama to know that the down fall of his government is within the very people he appointed into office to help him.It will not help him if he start to refer the hardship of Ghana to another country because we are not the same. Here in America, I don't remember the last time I wash my car because the roads are good everywhere you go, even some roads leading farms are maintained. Everyday Ghana continue to borrow money together with the internal generated money yet, they cannot maintain the roads due to corruption. Political leaders, civil society, civil servants, business men and women in Ghana must know that citizens and political leaders in advance countries did sacrificed to build their countries which is now becoming home to many immigrants.Although, American and UK contractors are poised to get profits out of contracts being awarded to them, but they actual do a good job at a fast rate.This is because they the contractors and their families will be beneficiaries of that work if executed properly. Not the same in Ghana! My advice to Mahama is to ensure that monitoring and evaluation is very effective in his government if he want to succeed. He cannot issue directives and leave it to go the way he wanted, because majority of the people want an appeal send to remind them before action taken. I wish Mahama good luck in his reign.

That is blasphemy and remember God even admonished us to be wary of such people for their hearts may not portray what they say to the outside world. Every year we were told things will improve next year, the economy is about to take off, Better Ghana is on it's way.....and 5 years down the line Mahama and NDC keep giving us the same buzz phrases. NDC may be good at winning elections but boy they are CRAP at managing an economy....FACT!

Migle, get those scales off your eyes, it is far easier to destroy something than to rebuild it. The mess NDC has caused to small businesses and the economy over the last 5 years will take longer than 3 years to reverse. So watch this space, mahama will cruise in auto drive doing nothing apart from cameo appearance here and there to give propaganda speeches until election year 2016, then they will shift into full propaganda gear, throw the little money supposed to be use for statutory payments etc on campaign and electorate bribery, if they win 2016, the mess continues, but guess what, at this rate, something will have to give way at some point. There is no direction, just sheer chaos.

If PPP believe in God, they would appreciate that HIS intervention helped to avoid calamity after the SC verdict and, therefore, needs to be thanked for that. Indeed, being our creator we owe HIM thanks in everything we have achieved. It is, therefore, imperative that the president entered HIS sacred home to thank HIM for the things HE has done for us. But when they needed power Nana he coke man visited the wailing wall and several churches to seek the favor of God which has abandoned them.Prior to election 2012 they then recognised that the battle was the LORD's. Even during the election petition, they said the battle was still the LORD's. so PPP be careful before God turns his anger on you!!

I don't think prayers will work without working. The way we pray and go to church in Ghana is if bad , waste of time and laziness. Some even sleep at tjere and call it 'all night service', for what? In America you make your money the hours you put in. The more hours you can work the money you get. The job is not for the government so no chance for laziness, looting and bribing the timekeeper. In most churches in America you spend only 2 hours and leave for your weekend job or college classes. Even the priest has his private job on his computer at home. They don't steal church money. If you do, you go to prison. We waste too much time in Africa but the God we worship dislike laziness. The Bible is from here but they work hard even to feed Africans who sleep in churches to please God.We must think better
Obama has no time moving from one church to another for Thanksgiving.He call all members of Congress,both Republicans and Democrats and find solutions to problems facing the economy not going to churches. Solutions to economic problems are not in the church rooms.
