why NPP were escorted out from power if infact NDC as usual did not rob Nana Akuffo Addo when President Kuffour finished his term of office and Nana was genuinely defeated.

Before a particular Government can be escorted out from power through democratic means there are some certain activities which were not goin on well with that particular administration,therefore any successive Government should distance
herself from such diabolical activities which led that particular
Government to be escorted out, but not
to cement such activities or put more vim to it and plant more to it.

Therefore, I can sound it solemnly in the ears of every politician especially NDC bunch of criminals that
they should not be happy, President
Kuffour even said that and use such a
speech as an austerity measures to
increase and cement corruption in our
country as it has today made our
country such a hopeless State under this particular NDC foolish and pupet administration.

If it is so, then there shouldn't have been any legitimate and tangible point or reasons to escorted
NPP Government out of power, because
to compare NPP administration to this
Present and the past NDC administration, it will be very foolish for any sensible, civilized,
honest and credible person who is of
a sound mind to drop even a single ballot paper into the box of NDC ballot box home elections comes.

No reasonable person whould like to see a Coup D'etat but as things are going, any body with a toy gun ready to stage a Coup D'etat would be clearly supported, and I wish every NDC soc-alled politicians be tied against a sand bag at the Teshie Range

How on earth someone will sell our oil in which Tsatsu Tsikata played major role in it's extraction, exploration and Data for a pittance, turn around to arrest same Tsikata should inform Ghanaians that this Kuffuor really smells thievery.

This is an unacceptable excuse for the opportunity that President Kufuor had to make a credible effort to deal with corruption in this country.
First let me say for the record that I believe President Kufuor did some very great and bold things for this country such as taking advantage of the advantages that declaring Ghana a HIPC country offered and for pushing through the NHIA bill in spite of the tremendous opposition. He also started some praise-worthy infrastructural works and rekindled confidence in the economy and democratic governance of Ghana.
He however did poorly on attacking corruption.
I personally believe that corruption is the single most cancerous issue that will destroy this country. In the background of increasing population, horrendously high unemployment rate of our young population, poor education and opportunities for social advancement, we are creating a sure recipe for destructive social upheavals in the future. Corruption is a security threat to this country!
Any attempt to excuse our unwillingness to attack corruption head-on with seriousness is not only sad but a poor read of history.
Let us not give lame excuses for a serious failure of leadership.

It is true that corruption is as old as human kind. We have to distinguish between corruption and extortion. The situation in Ghana has long passed the threshold of what might be considered extortion. The same phenomena exist in all the so-called third and forth world countries. This is why the 'corruption index' has been developed and most countries fall in it! The stealing that goes on within the government is stunning. Government officials seem to think the people are so dumb that they will not see what goes on. Having said that, I will also state that the corruption in most of these third and fourth world countries is systemic. You go to the hospital, you have to bribe the admissions clerk. You go to the bank, you have to bribe the teller to withdraw your own money. You go to school, you have to bribe your teacher. You go to the Supreme Court, you have to bribe everybody from the court summons servers to the paper pushers. As for the police, you can just forget it! I remember reading about a Regional Minister in the Kuffuor government who went from being a pauper to owning multiple cocoa farms and houses with the obligatory newly acquired multiple wives and girl friends in less than four years. Of course, Jerry Rawlings also exploded from a pauper to one of the richest men in Ghana. In the 'first world' countries, such explosive acquisition of wealth will automatically attract an investigation in which the government official will be required to document how all the new wealth was acquired. Where did the money come from? Has the required tax been paid on the money, if acquired legitimately? A paper trail will document everything. Any explanation that my "uncle" gave me such or the other will not be acceptable unless the "uncle" could also be shown with a paper trail that they are capable of making such gifts. Alas, in Ghana we are all thieves! We complain, but when we find our selves in similar offices, we do the same thing!
