    For the past 12 months over 95% of workers who went on retirement have not been paid their pensions as SSNIT is bankrupt. Pensioners entiltlements have gone to gov't, says a top SSNIT official

    Govt appointees who are given cell phones should be given monthly limits. They should be paying for their own electricity and water bills in their govt residences.

    What about if the phone is used in the house for official business? Will it be fair on the minister to pay the bill? Let common sense prevail,please.

    I think time has come for government officials and paliment office to pay for everything including staying in government house they only get allowance including pay staff if they have one

    Ministers of state and MPs in the US, UK and Germany as referred by President Mahama pay their own electricity, gas, phone etc bills so Ghana must follow suit

    Local phone bills can be borne by govt. But all private long-distance calls placed by any minister, in addition to electric bills, should be taken care of from their own pocket. That`s the way to go; it`s plain and simple!
