If you keep building thermal plants to generate electricity, the cost of electricity will always be expensive. Fact!!! Our thermal plants run on crude and gas. Both are expesive and we do not have both of these products in abundance for today and in the long term. The solution to our energy problems is the construction of multiple hydro electric dams on the many rivers we have in Ghana. This is one of the cheapest forms of power generation available to us that can provide affordable power. We do not have to buy rain water to fill the dams, unlike crude or gas. Period!!!

Stop building these thermal plants and think of Hydel or Nuclear Plants which are more economical and safe in the long run. Start with Hydel plants and eventuall the Nuclear will come into fold.

Minister Armah-Kofi Buah, obviously, is the most proactive minister in Mahama's administration; never resting on his laurels since given the energy portfolio. Demands for electricity have become problematic, in recent times, as the country enters a lower middle income status, but he seems to be doing a marvellous job in addressing them -he's working tirelessly to achieve the objective of his ministry. We must all wish him success!
