We should be wise and advice our fellow Ghanaians on every media platform to Boycott Tobinco & Bliss GVS Pharmacies. They and the self appointed officials who care less about our welfare,are powerless if we take charge of our welfare through communicating on all available platforms and networks to "DOGG" them. We are their market source and should scrutinize whatever they try to throw at us, if our institutions and leaders compromise their reckless ways to our disadvantage.

You are right some people ought to have been behind bars for fake imports which could otherwise have had dire consequences on the health of our people. Due diligence is the key here next time around.

It is the responsibility of the judiciary i the last resort. All parties involved in this illegal arbitration are revealing corruption of a very high degree and somebody must act immediately else it shall become a precedent which cannot be halted.

How did the medication end up in the government hospitals,pharmaceutical warehouses.clinics,if the medications are fake,but was not authenticated by the HEALTH MINISTRY,as approved by the FDA?
Before the ministry of health accept any medication to be distributed to patients,its efficacy has to be confirmed and authenticated by the FDA.But that was not the case in the ensuing problem of FDA with TOBINCO.
Therefore,the HEALTH MINISTER IS ALSO IN TROUBLE.
HENCE,THE MOSQUITO'S PRESENCE AS A MEDIATOR.

The Food and drugs Authority "is the National Regulatory Authority charged with the regulation of food, drugs, Food supplements, herbal and homeopathic medicines, veterinary medicines, cosmetics, medical devices, household chemical substances, tobacco and tobacco products".

The Tobinco saga has everyone talking about the role played by the Food and Drugs Authority. The question on the lips of most people include; Why Tobinco, Is this a witch hunt, What about the other companies who flout the law and are left off the hook by FDA.
Much as these questions seem honest and legitimate, the FDA and the EPA themselves are partly to be blamed. We have laws that are supposed to be enforced, yet no one enforces them. What is happening to the companies that manufactures our food and anything called 'food', the water sachet companies, warehouses that store the food we eat, restaurants, hotels and the list goes on and on. Our enforcement agencies always come out with excuses of lack of funding or shortage of staff, but this is where others will blame FDA and EPA of being partial in the Tobinco issue.

The FDA/EPA has always been criticized for responding only when we have food and drug safety problems and neglecting its preventive functions hence the many views held by cross section of Ghanaians on this Tobinco saga. Providing quality, safe food and drugs in Ghana requires the efforts of all that together make up today’s complex food and drug delivery system. It also requires a sustained effort by the enforcement agencies whose enormous task covers a wide area of operation.

We live in a tropical part of the world so we are infested with all kinds of pest and rodents. These together are a major cause of diseases and infections affecting our people. By law, the Food and Drugs Authority and the Ghana EPA are mandated to have enforcement inspectors on the ground visiting our chop bars, restaurants, hotels(5 star or motel), warehouses, schools and many of our businesses scattered all over Ghana. Are we going to wait till Ghanaians especially children are poisoned from eating at a restaurant? For us to believe and trust our enforcement agencies, they must live up to the task. It's an enormous task but for once let's live up to it.

Some side effects show up after 50 years,which I believe,BLISS PHARMACUETICALS(INDIA) as well as TOBINCO,knew this,before they unlawfully brought and distributed these FAKE MEDICATIONS.
The health of millions are at stake now.Unfortunately,many,I presume,are the poor and the needy/the masses,because they go to government hospitals,that are affordable to them,for treatment.
How can TOBINCO trace the kind of side effects those that have taken such FAKE MEDICATIONS are encountering?
If those affected start to sue his company,where would Asiedu Nketia stand?
Millions are going to sue this guy and the Indian company(the manufacturer), as well as the Ministry Of Health.

I hope the intervention of Mr Asiedu will not dumpen the will of FDA to keep our country clean from fake medicines. We are a very insicere people. The level of corruption which he presides over is amazing and stinks to the high heavens, involving very higher ups right up to the presidency. The extent to which this NDC gov't would go to fuel their corruption riddled lifestyle whilst exhibiting a huge penchant for incompetence and visionless leadership is legendary. Ghanaians are praying that the necessary investigative work is done to unravel the stinking rot, which the CEO of the FDA is presiding over.
