Still in this advanced world of serious thinking , so called Young Patriots still believe in demonstrations and strikes to address very delicate and serious National issues mainly on their political affiliations and sentiments.
How do they seriously expect the CEO of a government establishment to be responsible for the salaries of the employee?. After all Korle- Bu Hospital is not a private establishment where you may somehow be right in demanding the president/chairman or the owner of the business to pay his employees out of hi company's coffers. Do these ignorant Patriots really understand the systems, the processes and the structures of the establishments and institutions in Ghana in order to direct intelligent actions directly to the right quarters and persons for effective actions rather than thoughtless strikes which tend to destroy instead?. Much as I must say that 2 years non-payment of salaries is unacceptable morally and financially, I however do not accept the premise that a political strike is the best way of addressing issues. Where are our National arbitration agencies e.g TUC?. Have the Young Patriots consulted or had any negotiations with them on this matter?. This not NUGS myopic and irresponsible politics or college/secondary school boisterous stupidity.. This is the real word.

NPP youth has not yet realized that their "if NPP does not win the elections in 2012, Afghanistan!" approach contributed to their defeat in the 2012 elections, and still they are proposing similar strategies to KorleBu nurses!!
Unfortunately, a humanitarian institution like a hospital cannot adopt this "be militant" approach to addressing its challenges. When NPP lost the elections, no life was lost. So NPP losing elections is not a big deal in Ghana. The effect on lives for junior nurses 21 days strike proposed by the "militant" NPP youth will have disastrous consequences which will affect some of the very "millitant" group. We should not be made to believe that this "at all cost" approach to solving problems is the philosophy of NPP. If so, well-meaning rank and file of the party must come out and condemn these poisonous proposals that pose danger to all of us.
