"Oyiwa" Ghanaians. This government by the fools for the fools continue to lie to People who voted them to power. It was not even a week yet when Mahama told the whole world that our Ghana economy was great and sturdy and now listen to what the Finance Minister is saying. The administration is lost and has no clue how to steer our dear economy.

infact all public sector workers have been brought on board the ssss. the public university and polytechnic lecturers as well. But Terkper and his team are not making sure that the Internally Generated Fund (IGF) is brought into the consolidated fund. Where else do they want to get money. All government institutions that are collecting money 'FEES' IGF should be made to stop spending their IGF and pay everything into the consolidated fund immediately. What kind of Governance is this?

Infact the Finance Minister in the person of Mr Seth Terkper is not up to the task of managing the economy. He was appointed to face the challenges and employ effective means to create a conducive avenue to meet the challenges rather than complaining. He could advise the presidency to reduce thier number of staff, cut other frivilous expenditure and reduce weekly fuel allocation and stop complaining. The evil that men do lives after them so the old adage says

You are maligning people who run kiosks. If they ran their businesses like the Ministry if Finance do, they would be bankrupt in a week.

I wonder how and why you're worried about the wage bill.
First of all, the then late Atta Mills/Mahamah NDC govt did not used due budgeted diligence on the SSS,but rushed to implemented an idea which was not theirs and only good on the surface, thinking it
would score them tremendous political
points. As a result of their budgetary lapses, the administration experienced rampant strikes here and there to this day.
You simply have to know your gross inflows as against your estimated proposed total expenditure including the SSS,to be able to ascertain if it's Sustainable before you know what do.Who said the authorities did not know that ! So it stands to reason that the leadership were thinking about how to promote the NDC party to the
detriment of how to build the Country.
Secondly, the present Mahamah administration also created more MP's,
increased the Salaries of the legislators and the executive, appointed more Ministers than necessary just to Satisfy Party faithfuls.
So why are you people worried about the wage bill; because you created the problems.
What did you think would be the result when the above mentioned was going on !
Again, the first lady is using her Office to promote her private Foundation instead of working for and with State agencies like Ghana Trust Fund,Ghana AIDS /HIV Foundation,The Ghana Red Cross,Orphanage in the Country etc etc.
In fact what the First lady is doing amount to enriching herself under the guise of a
Foundation.
I have never heard of any one in the World who has not earned his or her own money but is a philanthropist. We know a philanthropist to be Someone who gives out money from his/her private funds to help or support a good cause. But not like a State treasury.(I stand to be corrected).

Don't blame the current crisis on the meager salaries of the poor civil servants. The culture of providing free cars, free houses, drivers, free fuel, free phone bills, free water/electricity, huge sitting allowances, out of station allowances i.e a minister take home $300/day when he visits outside Accra overnight.Free houses, Cars, out of station allowances for overblown MP's,District Chief executives and other directors. Why do we have so many MP's etc. All our money is spent on the do nothing leaders, though they receive monthly salaries like any other civil servant.

Mr. Terkper - I will advise you to tell your employer, Mr. Mahama to lead by example. First of all, he should cut down his salary and other emoluments or make a solemn promise to pay a percentage of his pay back to government chest monthly. With that initiative, Mr. Mahama can furlough all public workers to take 4-days off every month without pay for next 6-months and see what impact this would have on the wage bill which is sapping the economy.
This may sound stupid idea to others, but in time of crises, hard decisions are taken in order to rescue ones self from total calamity. The fact that this may affect a section of the community, we have to bear in mind that our cocoa farmers have been ripped off by the government for far too long for paying them meager money for their produce to foot the bills of these government workers wage bills which the farmers don't get any benefit from their services.
