  The reason state companies dont work is because govts appoint their cronies to manage them, whether they are capable or not.

  The reason state companies dont work is because govts appoint their cronies to manage them, whether they are capable or not.
  
  Most govt appointed CEOs are just political hangers-on who have not got a clue about the technical or administrative mechanisms of the companies which are thrust in their laps much more the business aspirations and viability of such companies.
  
  They even go beyond that to also appoint even worse members of Boards most of whom normally havent got a clue about the dynamics of the company they represent.
  
  What workers of state companies should do, if they still need companies to work in, is to resist the appointment of clowns and parasites as Managing Directors and Board members by govt. Its too late now as in the case of the STC workers to rile against a management that has already fed fat on the company at their expense.
  
  What do they now expect the govt who is an accomplice with to incompetent management to do for them?

  Strike action does not help the company in any way.
  
  Workers should go back to work and engage with management to make the company profitable. STC will then be in a position to pay higher salaries and benefits to workers.

  Workers should go back to work and engage with management to make the company profitable. STC will then be in a position to pay higher salaries and benefits to workers.
  
  There is a window of opportunity now that the debts of the company have been paid off, and 45 buses purchased. Workers should make the most of this opportunity, and stop selfish strike action which can only plunge STC back into indebtedness.
