So, how do the Country's leadership reconciles this development of renewed hardships for the sick, poor and vulnerable,as against the nice "buttered toast and sugar coated" speech at the Leaders Forum in New York, just yesterday while majority of the people remain helpless!
So this Rev Botwey is telling us the Ministries of Finance and Health bypassed parliament to give Korle Bu management the go ahead, right!
Ghanaians are aware that you're "to keep Korle Bu running".Therefore, your first option was to ask for funding from the ownership of the hospital, the Ghana govt.Whether or not.
So,you cannot take decisions as you can do in your household all in the name of running the hospital. Please appreciate the economic and financial hardships of the people. For your bible says "ask and it shall be given.Seek and you will find".
By the way;do we have regulatory agencies in Ghana? What does this Rev CEO means by "since parliament would eventually approve of the fees,it would not suspend the implementation" Ghana for you!

Yes i side with the management of Korle-bu Hospital to increase their charges as the old charges and rates being paid by NHIS is too low. It is obvious that the NHIS cannot sustain the full coverage of medical bills which they insist on paying. Service providers are spending more on each patient than the premium set by the NHIS. It has therefore become difficult for service providers especially the private health institutions to stay in business.

So why is a pastor now heading the premier hospital in the country? Is he qualified to lead such a huge bureaucracy?

A political opinion from a parliamentarian can be raised but not a directive. If it's the Ministry of Health approved those fees then the matter should be addressed to them not the Managing Director of Korle Bu.
