For the past five years every major economy has been concerned about reducing its deficit, otherwise called national debt. I am talking about those economies who will borrow to embark of projects that have direct impact on the economy, create jobs, train the youth, build money generating monuments, etc. What it pathetic with Ghana is not the amount as the professor has indicate (as per his assessment it is in line with GDP ratio), but rather what the money is used for. With the billios of dollars borrowed, ghana over the past five years has happily used it to for everything apart from the right purpose. I dont see new jobs being created in Ghana - well we have professional unemployed graduates, i dont see apprenticeship scheme supported by government, i dont see any form of youth training. I see massive curroption, etc which cast doubt on where we are going as a nation. Our leaders are happy to be psycho-fans of Ghana being amongst the fastest growing economy. Dialogue is not the solution but some radical approach. Both opposition, government, civil societies must start some radical revolutions to turn things around. What future does a ten year old child have today growing in Ghana....misery all ahead! God help us

The future of our children is nothing more than:
SCARY.
If nothing is done to offset what is happening now in our economy, our children have no chance at all in their future.

There is nothing like Danquah Institute. It is a one man think tank that offers solutions based on the the thoughts and wisdom of its one-man manger. Sadly, the manager has not convinced us that he has the gumption to suggest cogent and practical solutions to the problems of Ghana. At best, it is a self-serving organization that has nothing to show for its efficiency and industry.

He is right, the debt to GDP level is not worrying. The question is that what are they using these billions of dollars for?
There is nothing to show for these billions of debt.
