NPP needs to be honest with itself and address this "Akufo-Addo has no option than to contest" mantra they keep on repeating day in and day out. Reasons like he's the most popular, the most marketed, has been at the forefront of active politics etc,etc, need to be put in the right context and the argument made for or against him contending again. But one thing that is certain is that, the Akufo Addo brand, has suffered "voter fatigue" and NPP needs to move on, either than that, if Akufo Addo is presented in 2016, NPP would loose the elections. He's at liberty to contest and NPP is at liberty to choose him as their flagbearer, but NPP would not make any gains at the polls. Some are describing it as apathy, but in essence it is voter fatigue, and a host of other factors that makes the brand just unappealing to the electorate.

The Danquah/Busia/ Dombo tradition no longer has relevance in contemporary Ghanaian politics and majority of the youth who constitute the dominant factor in votes casting do not know these past political heroes.
Dr Bawumiah is indeed an emerging force to reckon with. Let's prove the doubting Thomases wrong.

It is such burden we place on our leaders that tends to turn them into autocratic leaders. We prevail upon them so heavily to lead that it turns their heads into swollen pumpkins, thinking we deem them indispensable Messiahs, without whom our Nation would fizzle out of existence.

Then, when they capitalize on that false perception to loot from, and impose upon, us we then blame them as being wicked, insensitive, selfish Demi-gods.

Manu, who is Pepeni? You see we need to decolonize our mentality as Akans towards our northern brothers. A prevailing misconception among certain segments of the electorate is that the NPP is an Akan party, and therefore it would be extremely difficult for a non Akan to lead the party. I believe the election eventually of Dr Bawumiah will erase this perception. I wish to reiterate that the Danquah/Busia/Dombo ideological tradition has no relevance in contemporary Ghanaian politics, and that any full blooded Ghanaian regardless of tribe is fit to lead the NPP.
The recent exploits of Dr Bawumiah has portrayed him as a person with a reasonable degree of political and economic direction to lead our country. A word to the wise is enough

I read over and over the above article but sadly, could not trace Faibille's reason How could you say 'Akufo -Addo has no option than to contest' without giving any reason(s). And a lawyer of that capacity could talk or make statements without any logical explanation. Is that how Faibille performs in Court to defend his client(s)?. No wonder his contribution to the petitioner's case was more a detriment than a benefit to NPP.
