How can one found a pre-existing entity, only intellectually dishonest people will argue Kwame Nkrumah founded Ghana, when in fact it was handed over to him as a sovereign country by the British. That sycophancy can only come from nobodies who owe their starts to Nkrumah.

Simply put, Ghana is the product of pre-existing nation-states that was cobbled together by the British to form a colonial entity called the Gold Coast. To say Nkrumah founded Ghana is to say he also founded the Gold Coast. Now if you cannot make that connection, then it means all cheap talk that follows are just that, cheap talk. Enough of the charade, you cannot shout that nonsense down anybody's throat. The British founded Ghana, end of story.

They only came after it's all over and imposed themselves on the people. The big 5 including Obetsebi Lamptey, Arko Agyei, J.B. Danquah, Ofori Atta and Akuffo Addo were already there before Nkrumah and in the case of Zimbabwe, Joshua Nkomo and Abel Muzerewa were the real architects of Zimbabwe's independence.

There was once a Kwame Nkrumah hat-seller who passed by a forest in Ashanti Region on his way back from the market. The weather was very hot and so he decided to take a nap under one of the trees bordering Ashanti Region and Eastern Region, so he left his whole basket of hats by the side.

A few hours later, he was woken up by some sounds. The next thing he realized was that all his Nkrumah hats were gone. He heard some monkeys on the tree and he looked up. To his surprise, the tree was full of monkeys and they had taken all his Nkrumah hats.

The hat-seller sat down and thought of how he could get the Nkrumah hats down. He thought and thought and started scratching his head. The next moment, he realized that the monkeys were doing the same action.

Next, he took down his own hat and saw the monkeys do exactly the same. An idea came to him, he took his Nkrumah hat and threw it on the floor and the monkeys did that too.

So he finally managed to get all his Nkrumah hats back. If you think you have read this before ..., read on!!!

Fifty six years later, his grandson, Kofi, also became a Nkrumah hat-seller and had heard this monkey story from his grandfather.

One day, just like his grandfather, he passed by the same forest, it was very hot, and he took a nap under the same tree and left the Nkrumah hats on the floor. He woke up and realized that all his hats were gone. He looked up and realized that the monkeys had taken all the hats.

He remembered his grandfather's words, started scratching his head and the monkeys followed.
He took down his Nkrumah hat and fanned himself and again the monkeys followed. Now, very convinced of his grandfather's idea, Kofi threw his hat on the floor but to his surprise, the monkeys still hold on to all the Nkrumah hats.

As far as I know, he was a high ranking Civil Servant among others who were higher than him and he never a known member of the CPP to have inside knowledge of the thinking and operations of the Party. It is therefore hard to understand how he can claim that Nkrumah was the founder of Ghana without mentioning others who, in fact, began the fight for independence before him.

- They tried to use you for their own personal gains, by pussy-footing with the British.
- You, the brave warrior, did not stand for that and went ahead to gain OUR independence for us.
- They got so angry that, they decided to go back to ask the Queen not to give us independence because we were not ready? Not ready?
- Why then, did they ask you to come and help them gain OUR independence in the first place? Was their so-called struggle really meant for Ghana?
- They then decided to de-stabilize their own country - Ghana, because you showed them the way and HOW to gain independence and not to pussy-foot around the struggle.
- They continued with their destabilization of their own country by throwing bombs (present day terrorism); and eventually connived with the very same people (and their partners) they got independence from, to topple your government. How sad!
- They then put in place stooges.....
who stemmed all the progress you made for OUR nation and the looting of OUR nation's assets and rich natural resources for themselves and also to appease their collaborators of the coup; till this present day.

This is where they have brought us now, Osagyefo! This is where the GREEDY, SELFISH, IGNORANT, SHAMELESS lot have brought us today............

Osagyefo, you left us with 100% of all our rich natural resources and infrastructural monuments to lead us to a true economic and political independence.

But guess what?...............ALL, and I mean ALL our rich natural resources have, and is still being sold to the same people (we gained independence from and their cronies/the coup-plotters) on the very cheap, for their own personal gains,.......as usual.

Other actors came on the seen to rectify things, but Kutu Acheampong could not do it alone. But I applaud him for his bravery and at least did a lot for OUR dear nation. Better than all the others put together, after you till this present day.

OSAGYEFO, all that you did for us have gone to waste! The greedy ones are still using the structures you put in place and are still using your policies as their party political 'mantra', in their campaigns till this very day......how sad! Yes! They lack ideas! And guess what? Their children are still jostling around to distort the facts of history regarding the true FOUNDER OF OUR NATION GHANA!

My question to them is..............
Why call Osagyefo over to help in the first place if they knew we were not ready for our independence?

Why then terrorize your own people you claim to have fought for their independence? I just don't get it!

Oh! Osagyefo! Your dear nation is bleeding to death! Those in power now, (the wolves in sheep clothing) are also in bed with the children of the coup-plotters and running the nation dry.

The school inspectors were good. We could eat alright and go to school. The boarding schools were there already: Achimota, Adisadel, Mfantsipim Accra Academy, Wesley girls even Komogo Odumase and many others. We were happy. Only those who had traveled abroad and be discriminated against were unhappy. We are worse. Just a name change and freedom to rule(ruin) yourself and you say I founded Ghana. Mother Ghana's love affair with Nkrumah could be likened to that of abused wife with her first love. I know many people like Kojo T and some of clueless people who parade here would not understand this. However, there are some people here who actually use their brain cells and could digest Mother Ghana's predicament. We celebrate our birthdays and achievements, but only idiots will keep on celebrate their failures.

Anyone who had dealt with an abused wife would realize how difficult it is for the abused wife to forget and forgive her first love. Most married people will also tell you how they often hear their partners talking about their first loves. Sometimes, it gets irritating to a point where one wants to leave the marriage. And this has nothing to do with whether one partner satisfied the other or not. Or, whether the other partner was abused by her first love or not. It is natural. So, what happens when a woman left the first love and enters into relationships where she is constantly abused by her partners. Answer - She would forever be talking about her first love, in spite of all the abuse she received from the first love; that is Mother Ghana situation, and people like this tribalist Kojo-T and the rest of Nkrumahists or whatever the call themselves find themselves in, with their love for Nkrumah- our Mother's first love.

Nkrumah was Ghana's first love. And just like you said, he did very well with what he had. He tried to send his children to schools to be educated. He tried to protect and provide for Ghana. He tried to do everything for Ghana to make her happy. But a time came, where the husband became possessive and abusive. He would not let mother Ghana go anywhere. Not even to the movies without his permission. Not to talk to any man without his approval. And like how our Moslem brothers force their women to wear hijabs, Nkrumah forced mother Ghana to wear not the hijab, but the niqab to cover her entire face and be followed by her own sons to every place just to monitor her movements. (don't forget the young pioneers). Being controlled and having no rights in the marriage, mother Ghana revolted and left the marriage.

Unfortunately, the sons (soldiers -NLC) who came to the rescue of their mother gave her to another abusive husband (Busia). Another son (Kutu) who had become a pimp, took her mother from that abusive marriage and pimped her. Mother Ghana became a whore and his sons (Akufo and some soldiers) took turns to pimp and abuse her. The youngest son (Rawlings) even allowed her own siblings to be lashed in their vaginas and destroyed their businesses (Makola and central Markets) while Mother Ghana looked on. After some time, he tried to negotiate her mother for a marriage (democracy), but not until he himself had married the mother. See, a son who came to liberate her mother forcing himself on her.

So after that marriage to that bastard (literally and figuratively) was over, Mother Ghana had become hopeless and unwanted. Mother Ghana married another tall gentle guy (JAK) who promised heaven on earth for her. Right after the honeymoon, this womanizer could not stay home; he never liked Mother Ghana but flying everywhere like bird and could care less about mother Ghana. She was left in the hands of arrogant and pompous sons and daughters who could care less about her. All that they cared for was, to abuse her and steal some of the money left in her bank accounts. The family (electorates0 came together to take Mother Ghana away from the uncaring husband and gave him to another Man (Mills). This man turned out to be the most useless man for our mother Ghana. And just like what Mahama (the next husband) said, God in his own wisdom took Mother Ghana from the useless man and gave her to him for marriage. So mother Ghana is now in the hands of a clueless man who does not even know, he is the husband of Mother Ghana. Do you get it now?

So it is obvious; when an abused wife, like Mother Ghana has gone through all these abuses and rapes, she still yearns for her first love- Nkrumah. And that is why these aged clueless people who were sent abroad by the first Love to study and return to help build the country but refused to do so keep on talking about that abusive first love.

Had Mother Ghana been fortunate to have a good husband after the first abusive love, her first marriage would not have been remembered. Should our job be praising and talking about the first abusive love or finding a right person for out mother? And shouldn't the clueless among us like this tribalist not be ashamed to compare our Mother Ghana's situation to that of Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and even that on our own Continent, Botswana, where their first LOVES left them abundance to live on?

ME, I cry for Mother Ghana and her numerous USELESS SONS & DAUGHTERS who glorify in her abuse and rape.

The debate of who was the real founder of Ghana is going to rage on and on for quite some time to come.

Whereas it is OK for us to set history's records straight, it is also equally important to be cognizant of the fact that irrespective of whoever the true founder or founders of Ghana were, those builders of this land have all long moved on to the other side and the question they will be asking us today from their graves is: who, among Ghana's many children is going to pick up where they left off, knowing very well that going into pubic service is not synonymous with greed and selfishness but rather selfness and that is not an attempt to slight the current government or previous governments. No far from it, but we as a nation in shambles ought to find constructive and creative ways to rebuild. We could, without a doubt, be a lot better than where we are today! So may those among our politicians who realize that they are the servants of the people and not the looters of the people please stand up and be counted.

Had Nkrumah not embarked on Postive Action, independence would probably not have been granted then, if ever.

Let us devote our efforts towards developing our country, not arguing about the past.

Some of us are rather puzzled by the date of birth of Nkrumah. 21 September 1909 did not fall on a Friday considering that Nkrumah's original name was Francis Kofi Nwiah Nkrumah. Nor did that date fall on a Saturday to justify Nkrumah's day of birth name, Kwame. Indeed that date fell on a Tuesday so the doubts about the Osagyefo's birthday deepen.

As for the claim that Nkrumah founded Ghana it was he himself who sought to perpetuate it by putting his head on the Ghanaian Penny of the West African Currency Board and inscribing under his head, in Latin ... Ghanaiensis Conditor. The only person who publicly challeged this in an article in the Daily Graphic was a Mr Bankole Timothy, a Sierra Leonean Journalist working in Ghana at that time. In an article headlined 'Kwame, what next'? Bankole Timothy questioned his claim of being the founder of Ghana and putting his head on the Ghanaian coin. Bankole's faith? He was deported from Ghana a few days after the appearance of that article in 1958. That was the beginning of Nkrumah's dictatorship and suppression of Press Freedom in Ghana.

As for Mr K B Asante he will say that Nkrumah founded Ghana, wouldn't he? He was one of the ideological stalwarts of Nkrumah's regime. Head of the African Affairs Secretariat he organised the various African Unity Conferences and the intelligence and espionage work on other African counties and leaders. He was not merely a civil servant but a veritably engaged servant of the dictatorship. He can tell us about the agenda his master, Nkrumah, set for Ghana and what happened to the Ghana Guinea Mali Union and why it failed.
