Rasheed, I think you have been filled with so much negative passion against the Black Stars coach it appears you are losing sight of reality. I think you are talking nonsense with your claim that "shot boy called Frank acheampong could replace Sulley....." Well Professor Rasheed, if Frank was invited to replace Sulley why didn't he feature in the match? I don't think he was even on the bench. Rasheed, it is about time to get real because I think this hatred is driving you nuts. Only few people may doubt the talent and experience of Sulley. But Frank has similar qualities to Sulley. He is a playmaker; can give deft passes; deliver accurate crosses and is a top assist and can score goals just like Sulley. Frank has another weapon: great pace. He is a great up and coming asset for Ghana and soon you will know why. I will advise you to watch Anderlecht matches if you really want to be well informed about Frank.

Good point Dr. Amponsah (CAUX). But Muntari must transfer discipline maintained at club level to the National team. Ghanaians have a way of taking each other for granted sometimes. The disciplinary bar must be set very high in the Black Stars camp, if they want to annex any footballing height of repute. With that bad attitude, even the African Nations Cup will elude us, how much more the World cup.

Players and fans can wait and condemn him, after the game if his decision cost us to loose. I hope both Sulley and the coach and all the other players will learn from this past situation for the Good of Ghana Soccer. Lesson ,you may be the best player you still hae to respect the coach or else you will be dispensed with. No individual player is indispensable,! Charley, this attacking midfield is strong enough to win any game anywhere. Damn, Egypt, beware big time. If these guys are unleashed on Egypt, oh God, they are done, I mean, not even Spain the World Champions can boast of such a midfield. I am glad Muntari is back in the fold. I am not too conversant with why he was excluded in the first place but have to say that if it was due to unruly behavior, then he must advise himself as he cannot do that to the AC Milan coach. He should learn to respect authority locally or otherwise. We need him all the way, but he also needs the team. He should henceforth be respectful, period, he is not above the law. Having said that, I am over the moon that he is back.

POW, I totally understand your point, but at the moment, it is only either Wakaso or Kwedwo Asamoah. I prefer Kwedwo Asamoah at the deep lying midfield position, which is the number 8 position, than the left full-back position. Besides, Wakaso is tougher at that position than Kwedwo Asamoah. He also used to play there for his previous club, Villarreal, before his move to Espanyol.
If we should be scared of playing anyone with risky tackling at the back, then Daniel Opare shouldn't even be on the field. With Daniel Opare, I'm even afraid of placing him at our center forward position, I mean the number 9 position, because he is capable of coming back to his own 18 box to commit a suicidal tackle. Don't get me wrong, he is good when he wants to be and cross better than all of our defenders. On the contrary, he is the most risky player a team could have in its 18 box. Don't we sill have him and use him? Why is it that? The answer is simple. You don't throw your best away just because he makes mistakes. This is why Kwasi Appiah and his men as there. The technical team talks to all of them about the importance of each match. Due to that, the players act well and think fast in situations.
Harrison Afful is suspended and David Nii Addy is hurt at the moment, though, may get better. The question is, is he going to be a 100% fit before the match? I don't know and so do you.
Richard Kissi Boateng's confidence at the back is not something we could rely on as well. He could have switch positions with Daniel Opare, who is over confidence at any position and it doesn't matter which match he is selected to represent the nation.
Therefore POW, you see, that is the only option we have at the moment. Kindly help us with some players I may have forgotten.

I'd try, because I would not like Badu to sit on the bench against the Pharaohs.

The angle of light, he brights like(DIAMOND). You brightening where there is darkness! In other words, you have taken our thoughts to a different dimension.
Shifting these players may work but for us to play Agyemen Badu at the central half defense, as the #4, to me, would be a suicidal choice. He are my reasons:
He is too short.
He is not a defender and has never played there before.
Egypt is not a team we could experiment on. This encounter is a total war to see who is worthy to take the continent to its next level of the spot.
Think about this option which to me not even the best looking at the players we have.
I would have loved to see him in front of the defenders, instead, as one of the defensive midfielders. Allow him to play as the old time "standing 6, not roving." For that, I would agree with you. When this option is applied, our midfield general, Michael "Bison" Essien, would have to come in as a substitute like it happened in Zambia's match, or play at the right full-back, #2.
Please, I may be the worst analyst and also a BIG JOKE on this forum in this sport, but for the two central defenders, Jonathan Mensah and John Boye, we don't have any pair that clicks better than this one. So we need to keep them there. Therefore, yes, this will work and here to me may come out to be.
1. Fatu Dauda
2. Michael Essien
3. Daniel Opare
4. John Boye
5. Jonathan Mensah
6. Emmanuel Agyemang Badu
7. Andrea Ayew
8. Kwedwo Asamoah
9. Asamoah Gyan
10. Kevin Prince Boateng
11. Sulley Ali Muntari
This takes Wakaso to the bench.
Here is the risk when this squad is used.
Anytime we play Michael Essien at defense, not that he doesn't play well, he does. Matter of fact, he plays great. However, for some strange reasons, it doesn't go well for the whole team. Do you remember, our 2008 Afcon semi-final against Cameroon, he played so well but we got pined down by the opponent's midfield department.
I think the opponent fears Essien more when he is in the middle of the pitch instead. Did you see how calm the whole game became when he was brought into our midfield during the Zambia match? If Essien was positioned at the defensive end, like the full backs, I may be wrong, but I think, Zambia would have continue to pile pressure on us from the midfield.
This is the reason, I predicted, he plays side by side with Kwedwo Asamoah. In this way, Kwedwo Asamoah goes in when we attack and Essien, stays back to help the defense in case of any counter-attack. Moreover, his through passes from the middle will help feed the wingers, Muntari and Adrea, and also our two attackers, Kevin Prince Boateng and Asamoah Gyan. A quality Kwedwo Asamoah is as well known for. Remember, Kwedwo Asamoah though may be paired with Essien at the defensive midfield, he would be playing as the hidden play-maker behind the visible play maker, Kevin.
Like you rightly indicated, whom can we take out for Agyemang Badu, who is capable of track any dangerous opponent on the field? That is a big question could only be answered by the outcome of the days to come.
We really have the players that can demolish Egypt, but are they going to set selfishness aside, like Ken, mentioned in one of his comments, to play like a team to win?
This too is a big question.

EGYPTIANS ARE NOT WALK-OVERS LIKE THE ZAMBIANS. THEY ARE VERY TOUGH TO BEAT, AND THAT EXPLAINS WHY THEY WERE AFRICAN CHAMPIONS FOR THREE GOOD CONSECUTIVE TIMES RECENTLY.
EVEN WITH ALL THEIR DOMESTIC PROBLEMS, THEY CAN EASILY TEACH GHANA BLACK STARS A LESSON OR TWO IN COMPETITIVE SOCCER.
APPIAH TINKLES WITH HIS ABYSMAL PLAYER-SELECTION POLICIES TO HIS OWN DETRIMENT.
SULLEY MUNTARI WAS TREATED BADLY AND DIFFERENTLY FROM ASAMOAH GYAN AND OTHER AKAN BS PLAYERS.
GYAN IS NOT QUALIFIED TO BE BS CAPTAIN, AND HE'S WELL AWARE THAT SULLEY FITS THE BILL MORE APPROPRIATELY THAN HE, GYAN, DOES.
BUT YOU KNOW IN GHANA, THE AKANS ARE THE MOST TRIBALISTIC, PRIMITIVE AND NEPOTIC OF ALL THE OTHER TRIBES.
THAT'S WHY AKANS HAVE INVADED ALL THE TOP POSITIONS IN GHANA, WHICH EXPLAINS WHY GHANA IS ALWAYS DRIFTING BACKWARDS.
