African leaders have proven time and again that they are not trustworthy. They kill and cover up: Mobutu, Halie Selassie, Abacha, Babangida, Obasanjo, J.J. Rawlings and company, Compraore, the Sudanese Guy, Gaddafi, etc. They steal money and deny it. Who in his right mind will give more power to these people.
Let the ICC try Uhuru Kenyatta. If he is innocent as he claims, they will acquit.

KK, you took the wind out of my sail. If this was an true "International" court of "Justice", many other leaders who dropped bombs on innocent civilians and wedding processions, and those who waged war on false PowerPoint presentations would have faced that court long before Charles Taylor. Are African leaders the most brutal in the World?

Kenya should not be left alone to fight this disguise of suppression by Western power in the form of the ICC. Sister African Countries should rally behind Kenya and not abandon her like the Arab League left Iraq and Lybia to be destroyed by the powers that be. How many people ( innocent civilians, women and children) did America Britain not killed in Iraq and Lybia? Did the ICC not see or heard. African leaders must show that we have come a long way.

I pity these poor stooges of leaders. If this court mean any business, they should haul people like Assad who gases his own people before it. They are just treating Africans as monkeys.

"They are just treating Africans as monkeys" because we behave like monkeys instead of using our brains. We destroy everything that comes our way, instead of converting them to useful products for our own consumption. We would first destroy them and then borrow to make it up. Sad to know that there is no end in sight to this as we continually fight for position to join the plunder of ourselves. Even monkeys do not do that!

Why are USA and many of the Western countries not members of the ICC? If it is good organization why aren't they members? There is going to be intense intimidations and pressures from these non member countries on African countries no to leave. However there are some good side of the ICC it put some break on the actions of some despotic African leaders. I wonder why up till date JJ Rawlings and his fellow MURDERERS have not been indicted up till date. Rawlings killed more innocent people in Ghana during his bogus revolutions than those killed in Kenya yet he is free walking on the streets of Ghana. Are Rawlings and his band of MURDERERS more better than President Kenyatta and his Vice Mr.Ruto? I bet this conference in Addis will not bear any fruit because our leaders are going to act like "toothless bull dogs wagging their tails infront of their formmer colonial masters".They are hopeless people who cannot take any meaningful stand in the interest of their citizens. Those leaders who would have stood for Africa are all dead and gone. Only those with Bannana Republic ideas are left with us.Poor Africa.

I think the ICC is just implementing the recommendations which it finds credible.Anyway iam waiting for the day when western leaders who have committed war crimes will also appear before the tribunal.Several of them are walking free now.I hope in future african leaders will think twice before deciding to join such international bodies which tend to work against the interest of african nations and their leaders.

Obibini, thanks for enlightening Africans in general and Ghanaians in particular. Kofi Annan with all intents and purposes was only doing the biddings of his pay-masters. He is a stooge of the West. He presided over one of the most gruesome crimes against humanity in Iraq. He was quick to recommend the indictment of both Ruto and Kenyatta but failed to recommend the indictment or even condemn the crimes committed by Bush Jnr and Tony Blair who defied international conventions and murdered thousands in Iraq. The chaos they created continue to claim victims both born and unborn. Did anyone hear of Kofi Annan, the 'toolege' condemning the west for their barbaric destroyal of Libya?.
I hope the rest of Africa should be bold to withdraw from this illegal institution called ICC. If our leaders fail to act, we should demand a referendum to vote and compel them to withdraw from the ICC.

There are those who will see me as a stooge to the White imperialist but at the end of the day who does the ICC benefit? Where is Charles Taylor, who through selfishness, did all he could to annihilate some section of Liberians. Does it make sense to wage such unrelenting war at your own people and feel good?
Look the Ivory Coast. When Gbagbo was in opposition, he labeled president Boigny as a stooge, divisive and above all, a Ghanaian who is not fit to rule that nation. When we was given the nod to rule, what was the end result? He cunningly try to destroy the Ivory Coast that was seen as the most stable nation in the West African sub-region and the question is why?
Let's not make the mistake of blaming the West for setting up the ICC because we Africans are pathetic and there is the need for someone to supervise us. Why didn't we stop the carnage that took place in Rwanda? We were all expecting the White man to come with troops to stop the slaughtering of the innocents in that nation and why should that be?
We should rubbish the "intentions" of the ICC but at the end of the day, it is good that any African leader who will be stupid to try to hang on to power by any means possible, be hauled to the ICC to answer questions about any mishap that will take place if innocent people lose their lives.
Our leaders are very reckless, pathetic and stupid so, they need supervision.
This meeting which will take place in Ethiopia about the ICC decision on the Kenya leaders, will come to naught.

Thanks for your insight. The ICC will serve to keep african leaders on a tight leash and respectful of rule of law. We've seen Idi Amin,Bokassa,Habre,Mobutu,Moi ,Mengistu and Rawlings preside over killings, looting and misrule of their nations on a large scale and nobody would dare bring them to account from within their countries due to fear of persecution or lack of proper internal checks and balances. Therefore the only body capable of holding these big men to account is an outside power and an independent court that these dictators cannot intimidate like their own feable and corrupt courts.

So what on earth are they going to stand for and reverse the decision of the Hague regarding African leaders?
The EU and the US, after all decides for the ECOWAS, the East African, South African and North African countries.
The EU have put in place at the Hague, puppet judges of African decent......
Why have they left Bush and Tony Blair loose? They have committed the worst war crimes against humanity..........
No so-called African leader seems able or capable of questioning that. What a shame!
