Nima is close to the Flagstaff House, the seat of Ghana Government. And if we have a pit latrine in Accra what type of latrines do we have on lesser regions of Ghana. Yet the Ghana President has a private Jet that has been chartered or given freely to the Asantehene to travel to the UK?> And we are supposed to be a banana Republic under-developed Country that looks to the civilised Western World for material and financial aid?.
Ghana needs to change and we couldn't wait for the right political party to come to do things differently.
At least, Nima in Accra needs a water closet and decent toilet and certainly not a pit latrine.

Yes, this shows the level of culture (anibuei / "eye open") the ruling elites have. Kufuor built a Presidential Palace as a priority and Mills-Mahama imported Presidential Jet. Mahama's brother Ibrahim boasts he is the first Ghanaian to acquire a Lear Jet and so on and so forth. But right there in Accra, schools have to do with dangerous pit latrine. The Asantehene purchases a multi-million dollar mansion in London but lots of schoolchildren still have classes under trees in the Ashante Region! The ruling elites of both NDC and NPP have stolen billions of dollars that have been hidden in offshore accounts abroad for the most part. Imagine what even 50 million dollars could do to transform Accra and provide for a modern sewage system, water supply, modern schools etc!
Only Kwame Nkrumah understood what it meant to be educated and cultured! As for the rest, tweaaaaah!

I will not mention names but we have very prominent people living in the heart of Nima who have been in power over the years and have never considered issues like this in the community.
It is a shame Accra still have such structures in place and worst of all at a public place such as a school.

Did Akuffo Addo not reside there as a politician while in Government for all those years and still in politics?
Equally, there are other prominent politicians living there who flatly do not care about the community apart from filling their pockets with stolen monies for projects.
Voters must hold people representing them responsible and accountable for such issues. it does not matter which party you vote for but the goal must be the same. To make them accountable and responsible.
Surely, someone must take responsibility for this and resign humbly.

What have city authority and for that matter the minister of education got to say about this incident?
My sympathy goes to the family who has been it down very badly.
This is a country which celebrates over fifty years of independence and yet pupils are being educated under trees and the most appalling school buildings. The death of Kamel is a national shame.
With this incident I find it so difficult to rap myself with the flag of Ghana. For I have nothing to be proud in the manner which Kamel died.
