OH Quarshie, the cold hands of death has finally been placed on you. Libyans would always remember you for you thought as that money is not everything but honour and patriotism are the cornerstone in life. No wonder you die a poor man. We offered you money in 1982 to sell the match to Cameroon in the semi-finals yet you refused and even in the dieing moments of the came you and George Alhassan made victory certained for Ghana. you finally beat us to lift the cup and that was the first time we saw Gaddafi weep not for the lost of the cup but sense of patriotism. Remember Gaddafi held you in high esteem. Rest in perfect peace. Fathi Rahim, Libyan football Association

I REMEMBER SEVERAL INSTANTS IN THE NEWS, AND EVEN ON GHANAWEB, THAT QUARSHIE APPEALED HELPLESSLY TO THE GFA TO COME TO HIS AID TO GET HIM WITH SOME KIND OF SUPPORT TO TREAT HIS AILMENT, BUT THE GFA PAID A DEAF EAR TO HIM. HIS CALL HIT THE BRICK WALL SEVERAL TIMES UNTIL HIS FORMER CLUB ZAMALEK CAME TO HIS AID SOMEHOW WHICH PROBABLY SUPPORTED HIM FOR A WHILE. NOW THAT HE IS GONE THE GFA HAS SHAMELESSLY COME OUT TO PRAISE HIM. SHAME! THESE ARE SOME OF THE GUYS WHO FOUHGT AND GAVE THEIR HEARTS AND SOULS TO GHANA WITH PRIDE AND HUMILITY; UNLIKE TODAY WHEN THE BOYS ARE ARROGANT AND HAVE NO FEELING OF PRIDE FOR GHANA. RIPP.

I have come to a point where I realized that Ghana is not worth dying for. Ghanaians are very ungrateful selfish and liars. It is the reason why people will go any mile to be a politician so they can lie and steal money. Interesting enough, Ghanaian crown such people as heroes. All the 4 former captains of the BS African cup winning teams die with nothing. Ghana could not even redeem the promise she made to these men. Not even GFA with all their chop chop money could do anything to hel this legend of the game when he was sick. Yet Ghanaians complain about players being arrogant and not wanting to play. Ghanaians dont know who is a heroe. They will only mention politicians because they are lairs just like them. This is why we are still 3rd world. And the best talent will always go to where they are appreciated. If the leaders only think about their families, what make them think the ordinary Ghanaian should be patriotic? If we do not change this attitude, we can pray all we want, convert every market or school into church, we will never get out poverty. I hope and pray GENERATION will arise and do the right thing. Rest In Peace Legend of the Game.
