  free internet is avail in book borrowing place. Even most food selling places like Papayae or Pizza inn offer Wi-fi in usa! Otherwise its paid here thru your phone carrier or cable tv (comcast)

  even by africa standards ghana is waaay underdeveloped but ghanaians do not seem to notice that….

  There is a old saying: "when something is working, leave it alone; work on something else where you can create something new for doing good". This is universal truth. Somethings are meant to be that way.
  MAJORITY OF THE PPL CANT USE A COMPUTER. INTERNET CONNECTIVITY IN GH IS VERY POOR. THE GOVT AND PRIVATE SECTOR MUST INVEST IN NATIONWIDE BROADBAND TECHNOLOGY, FAST! THIS IS THE FUTURE.
  PARENTS, STOP ENROLLING YOUR KIDS IN SCHOOL. LET THEM ROAM THE STREETS. IF THE GOVT ASKS WHY.
  TELL THE GOVT YOU DEMAND FREE BASIC SCHOOL FOR ALL GH KIDDIES UP TO SHS..4YRS!

  I disagree with the regulation of internet Market at this stage as many people are taking advantage to familiarise themselves with the technology.

  I disagree with the regulation of internet Market at this stage as many people are taking advantage to familiarise themselves with the technology.
  
  I would rather suggest the government work with the financial institutions who are interested in funding these small businesses to go ahead with a plan which guides them to improve service to the general public.
  
  You don't enforce unworkable regulation by asking someone with 5 - 10 nodes to buy an air conditioner and so on. It is a clear indication of knocking them out of job.
  
  What about these small chop bars and others?
  
  It is better to encourage such small businesses to keep people off the streets and anti-social acts.

  This research and it's recommendations are disappointing unless it is being mis-reported. The best way to improve internet access is to improve competition between land-line broadband providers and wireless broadband providers by separating them - when you have a major mobile-phone firm (Vodafone) as the only land-line broadband provider - that a no-brainer -competing with one-self is a stupid economic theory!!! It helps only the super-monopolist and undermines the national (which is different from the state) technology infrastructure. What this report appears to be recommending is to expand this monopoly - the nation needs it's own technology entrepreneurs.
