But what did wee see and heard at the time? Some ignorant journalists and uninformed Ghanaians were praising him, especially when he said he would trap the Techimanhene and kill him in Kumasi. Now he has shown his intolerance and might, regardless of the laws in the country and released his hoodlums to attack a media house. It's good some of his praise singers are tasting his violence. Rumour is rife in kumasi about the involvment of Asantehene in the bribery scandal in the supreme Court case. The scoop from one of the Tabloids in Accra was the subject of discussion at Kessben FM last weekend indicated that the Asantehene allowed himself to be used as a conduit by president Mahama to facilitate the payment of bribe to the nine justices.
This discussion on Kessben FM resulted in the radio station being vandalised by hoodlums purported to have come from Mahhyia palace.Be it as it may, it is obvious that the action of the hoodlums did more harm than good. It sends bad signal to all and sandry that there is some iota of truth in the rumour,and ought to be suppressed. Manhyia palace has a PRO, and it was up to the outfit to issue a statement to deny the rumour in all the FM stations, and that would have ended the matter. To resort to attacks on personnel and destruction of property at Kessben FM was a very crude was of resolving the issue.
It was obvious that the credibility of the chief was on the line and needed to be safeguarded. In doing so, the truth must be told in no uncetain terms, and the political leanings of the chief lends credends to the rumour in town. Chiefs must not align themselves so openly to any political party ,or allow themselves to be used by any political party to achieve their selfish interests.When that is done, the integrity of the stool in question is in disrepute.
Our chiefs are becoming greedy, and dragging the institution into disrepute.They are more than greedy bastards!

I have read histories of various Ashanti Hene and how some of them even laid down their lives to protect the integrity of the Asante Kingdom.

I saw the reign of the immediate past Asante Hene OTUMFUO OPOKU-WARE and I really admired him when I was young.
My day used to tell me ,there was nothing special about OTUMFUO OPOKU-WARE because his character was a trade mark of all Asantehene whom he had witness.
I can’t understand why this current ASANTEHENE has so many controversies surrounding him. He was alleged being involved with TAGOR cocaine saga.

Even there were so many controversies surround his en-stoolment. Even though I am not drawing conclusion the allegation leveled against him is true but my question is why so many allegations against OTUMFUO OSEI TUTU II?

Also who could send those guys to beat the journalist because his F.M station has discussed allegation leveled against OTUMFUO?

Did someone contract the macho guys to beat the hell out of the workers at the said FM STATION or the macho guys did that out of their own discretion? If someone hired them then what is the persons interested in the case?
