All Ghanians in the diaspora, please be aware that all what our fellow brothers and sister back home want from us is our money and dead body.
They have rejected our birthright as Ghanian citizens and don't want us to participate political processes.
It is insult to us that they only want to engage us in economic development to meet selfish political interest.

Kwabena you are soo soo soo damned ignorant.
First of all if my memory serves me right, it is rather the govt and people (full Ghanaians) of Ghana who have over the past several years made the effort to get expatriate Ghanaians involved in national affairs.
This has been done by recommending and approving the dual citizenship law that enables Ghanaians living abroad to maintain their Ghanaian citizenship even if they have acquired the citizenship of other nations. This alone nullifies your assertion that full Ghanaians have rejected the birth-right of expatriate Ghanaians.
Secondly I would presume that if a whole govt is inviting you to come and engage in business activities you should consider yourself as extremely lucky. Imagine the privileges and opportunities that you will be exposed to.
I suspect that you are just a lazy bastard who watches TV the whole day and collects welfare benefits at the end of the week.
In any case, we here back home know very well that most of you guys out there havent got a kobo in your names to engage in any serious business investment anywhere, so plse rest assured that we certainly dont want from you, money that we all know that you have not got.

It is a great idea. There are lots of Ghanaians in positions outside who can help lift Ghana up.
It must be in technical of managerial positions. I am not interested in politics.

Its about time Africa realises that the Diaspora is their main access, governments are raking lost of money from money transfers back home and loosing human brains due to stupid citizenship regulations. We came to abroad to help better our country so Ms Tetteh work with the industry minister to organise investments forums with countries .l had the opportunity and participated in the Canada-Nigeria Investment Conference at the Royal York Hotel in Toronto Canada which included the Vice President of Nigeria and thirty-two state Governors this summer and l was surprised with the attendance and asked myself why Ghana has not tried to do the same.

However, someone told me it was insecurity on the part of Ghanaians at home, they have known this for a longtime that Ghana can go very far if the Diaspora is whole-heartedly embraced in all areas of the Ghana's economic system but fear of loss of control on their part is what is keeping things as is, and I could understand their side too.
One thing I have learned from Akuffo Addo is - "Put Ghana's Interest First!" If all of us can incorporate this spirit of patriotism in our thoughts and daily affairs, Ghana will do very well and may not need Foreign Direct Investment (FDI)from foreigners who will siphon out their investment and profit when things go bad in Ghana's economy.
Congratulations to Hon. Hannah Tetteh, I hope she will follow through by making the success of this program becomes her legacy as a Foreign Affairs Minister. Kudos!

No citizenship no investment: You think the Chinese love Ghana more than the millions of Ghanaians you've disenfranchised? You can't have your cake and eat it at the same time. Your political decision to disenfranchise Ghanaians is not working for the national interest of Ghana. This retroactive political interest law is not fair to Ghanaians who had other citizenship before the law was passed. A person who hard other and Ghanaian citizenship and retired before the law was passed risked losing his monthly pension and health benefits should he decide to retain his Ghanaian citizenship only and move to Ghana to help. What will this person get back from the government of Ghana? Keep on wooing your Chinese investors and leave us alone.

This is a very good idea. The Minister need to push this agenda with all the power that has been allocated to her. This should not be a political propaganda.
Ghana has wealthy Entrepreneurs living in foreign countries. We have Smart Engineers, Medical Doctors, Scientist, Nurses, Accountants etc. every where in USA and Europe.
If the Minister will handle this Idea properly all these born Ghanaians will be happy to return home to contribute to the welfare of Ghana.
Please when this Professionals return home, our Brothers and Sisters back home should embrace them with open arms. Sometimes they feel intimidated and work against them. This type of attitude had scared most of us away.
I hope the Minister in charge should address this properly.
I am a member of a foundation. We sent a team of Volunteer Medical Doctors and Heath professionals to Ghana. They experienced distasteful attitude from custom officers to the last professional in Ghana.
These Ghanaians need to know that we foreign living Ghanaians need to be treated with love and affection when we return home to help. Long live Ghana
