In the first place this man refused to concede defeat although it was very clear he lost the election but went to court to challenge the president and again lost so he has no choice than to concede defeat, something he should have done in December last year so I wonder what qualifies this man for even a congratulation message let alone consideration of a Nobel Peace Prize which one of his so called admirers ignorantly is asking the UN to do.

Are we trying to ignore the deaths of some NDC people killed by the supporters of this man as a result of his refusal to concede defeat, how can we reward this man who called on his Akan people to killed for him to become president AT ALL COST which brought the infamous ALL DIE BE DIE slogan?

Even when he lost to President Mills he did not concede defeat as was in the case of Mr Kufour to President Rawlings and Professor Mills to President Kufour.

If we have to award this award to anybody who refuses to concede defeat after losing election but only to accept defeat after losing a court battle challenging that election what kind of precedent are we setting, what about Odinga of Kenya and what about throughout the world when most people accept defeat within minutes of declaration of results without even thinking of challenging the results let alone go to court, what kind of award will those people receive?

There would be depleted uranium in some those bombs and you have to see the pictures of the deformities they had caused to babies in Iraq long after the bombings were over!

Can anyone penetrate their reasoning powers and make it dawn upon them that Nana Akufo Addo had no choice but to accept defeat? And that is not a big deal? After all, they caused the tension in the country with their myriads of threats to kill others! They should rather be ashamed of themselves and skulk away! And they should be given a Nobel Peace prize for not executing their dastardly plans? Plans, which would have led to their own killing too in retaliation?

It has come to my notice that my name and email address have been pilfered and used to sign the Fadi Samih Dabbousi's petition. I should like to point out for the benefit of doubt that much as I respect Nana's swift acceptance of the Supreme Court judgement and his graceful concession it is quixotic to petition the UN for a Nobel peace prize on account of that. I should therefore like the reading public and whoever is dealing with this petition to know that I've never signed it and have no intention of ever signing it. It is obscene and does a pathetic disservice to Nana's own integrity for Fadi Samih Dabbousi or anyone for that matter to impersonate signatories for a Nobel cause. If this has happened in my case then I wonder how many other signatories have been impersonated. I would certainly appreciate it greatly for my name to be removed instantly, otherwise I'll have to seek other channels of making this crookery known to the very people that the petition is petitioning.

The peace of a nation is a collective responsibility of individuals and not one man show. Refusing to be incited by selfish politicians to cause trouble and mayhem is a big plus to all but not a single individual. I don't think one person holds the keys to peace in Ghana. All Ghanaians deserve commendation and recognition for exhibiting tolerance and love for peace. We prayed, worked hard and comported ourselves as peace-loving people proving to all critics, ill-wishers and Babylonians that we are one nation and one people, and that black man is not tantamount to war or conflicts. I thinks we need to praise ourselves as Ghanaians and thank Almighty God for the peace in Ghana. Praising individuals as a person or as a group in my view is getting too much.

I do not stop anybody from speaking her/his mind on our national matters but I expect every person who wishes to say things, must say things which could remind our people who cheerish to lead our nation of their basic understanding of what leadership means. Leadership generally never say a person contesting for leadership should fight when defeated in any competition, therefore with simple understanding of national responsibilty there is nothing that will make united nations award noble peace prize to Akuffo Addo.

Where in the developed world do people resort to fighting when defeated in any election? It is highly unfortunate that we Africans with low level of understanding responsibility choose to fight over every stupid thing and create destruction for ourselves due to our primitive and village mentality.

Village mentality is a mind that tells people that theirs is the best and that other villagers from the next village can not be like them. This is what make us create political problems for ourselves, and with this how can one be rewarded if he realises that village mentality is not a style of life that could help our nation move forward. Do we expect United nations to award all of us noble peace prize when we realize that fighting over political positions should no more be found among us. Can all of us be awarded noble peace prize? Of course big NO.

Remember Akuffo Addo and the NPP tried to follow the line of violence but Akuffo Addo realised he would lose his life if fight breaks out, that is why he resolved to the court.

The simple reason is when his followers started violence, and violence gets out of control, at the end he will find himself like Gbagbo of Ivory Coast. Akuffo Addo is so smart to realise the consequencies that will before him hence he changed the direction to court which in normal terms is the appropiate way forward for any developed minded person who understands democracy.

Unfortunately by our low level standard he has done well to go to court, but by international standard he did nothing special that warrants noble peace prize award. It is time that we up grade our levels over international issues. At this tiis point, I will admonish Fadi to be more than wise next time so that he can handle international issues with much experience so that he will not present himself low.

And now the unthinkable; he has planted people to sing his praise as a peace ambassador to the point of begging for recognition in that direction. Who told liliput that Nobel peace prize is applied for? More absurd it sounds to hear people begging for this prize for Nana. The UN is not moved by this "Inspector Liwing" antics. I bet my last buttom dollar it will take the monkey, one century of effort but will never get the spots of the leopard. Nana cannot win this prize no matter how long he tries and no matter his many times he concedes defeats in Ghana's elections. He has more defeats beckoning at him. Remember Atta Mills conceded defeat when more militant rebels like JJ were pushing him to challenge the results. He never got a wooden medal let alone a Nobel peace prize. This writer should rather petition the UN to award Kenya;s Raila Odinga for doing same in Kenya. Better still, the Zimbawean opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai must also be recommended for the Peace Prize. This is because Raila, like Akuffo Addo went to court and lost thus, bringing about post-election peace to Kenya. Check you facts. Alfred Nobel was Swedish and dies 1986. The reason for the peace pricze to be given in Oslo Norway is that Sweden and Norway were in a union until 1905. The other prizes are given in Stockholm.

In fact he had no other option than to quickly accept the verdict and save his high blood pressure from killing him from a stroke or myocardial infarction. I guess now everybody has found out going to court is not an easy task and thank you all for the wasted 8 months of productivity. Our children are hungry, have no where to lay their heads, some are out of school, there are no jobs, arm robbery is on the rise, our roads are like a jungle ride.

The Nobel Peace Price is given to people like Mandela, Tutu, Mahatma Ghandi, MLK Jr., and the like.
