Atuguba wanted his nephew to keep his job as an Executive Assistant toPresident Mahamah. Plain and simple. How can he in good conciense dismiss overvoting even when the EC boss Aferi Gyan admitted that there were EC structural defficiences and that there were instances of OVERVOTING. Atuguba was so anxious he read a wrong judgement which was corrected after 24 hours in the books. Atuguba is treacherous, dishonest, and did not exhibit objectivity throghout the deliberations In fact if dotse a Kuffuor had not allowed his tribal affliations with Tsikata to cloud his objectivity Mahamah could have lost 4 to 5. THE PETITIONERS in their own right should have taken him off the panel. Nana will win hands down next time.

When Nana Akufo Addo lost the 2008 Presidential Election, did he consult the National Executive Council before he conceded? I never heard of any such consultation and the NEC did not over-rule his decision to concede, so why the double standards this time?
Dan Botwe claims there is no position as leader within the party but there is the position of Presidential Candidate. Is there a rule in their governing documents that the NEC should approve whether that candidate concedes defeat or accepts the results of presidential elections or election petitions or the candidate consults the NEC prior to accepting the results or conceding defeat?
Kweku Baako is a well known NPP sympathetiser and therefore NPP should listen to his advice. The party will appear confused and disunited if the NEC over-rules Nana Akufo-Addo's decision. The creation of a Committee of eminent former Attorney Generals to review the judgement before a decision to accept it or seek a review should have been taken in advance so that this confusion would not have arisen. This after thought decision could be very damaging to NPP if the party decides to seek a review. In any case, would it be constitutionally possible for two instead of the original three to seek a review, when Nana was the primary petitioner?

You are not only a keen observer but a good one. This is a major legal question the NPP must answer.
Nana Addo can decide to go back on his promise not to go for a review, inform Ghanaians as such and consequently joined in filing for the review. Now should the review be successful, will that not create credibility problem for the 'president'?. A president who cant keep a promise he made to Ghanaians and the world?. Can invested have confidence in such a president?
Secondly, this election petition is more of Nana's petition than that of Bawumia and Jake because it is Nans's picture and name that were on the ballot paper. So neither Bawumia nor Jake can legally represent the party as president in the most unlikely scenario that the petition is successful and Nana had publicly refused to join them in filling for review.

In the real
sense, the party should pride itself in having a person of Nana Addo's calibre who understands constitutional governance and the rule of law!
His action hitherto has helped deepen our democracy. And it's better the party does not undo this remarkable feat and create discord within itself.

Wereko-Brobbey, Kwame Npianim and others within the NPP tried initially internally to point out some of these inconsistencies but were ignored so they decided to go public with their views (for the sake of posterity rather than bringing their party to "disrepute". Others such as Nyaho-Tamakloe who have fought hard for the party were equally vilified. They will perhaps criticise or condemn Kweku Baako (no fan of mine) for raising these issues with them too.
And who are those calling the shots and running this 'gravy train to nowhere'? - the general secretary Owusu Afrie and his friends including Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey.
I have said it, and will say it again here. This party, the NPP has done a lot to lose its own credibility and unless, and until they begin to realise this, take stock and accommodate the views and concerns of ALL their dissenting constituencies, they are in danger of losing the next elections (even before it started).
The current crop of "leaders" are not right, the balance is not right and the party needs a root-and-branch overhaul and a new more inclusive national vision. They should take it from me, I am no fan of the NDC nor am I affiliated with the NPP opposition. All I want to see is that there is a good balance in both government and opposition.
If the NPP wishes to be taken seriously by the electorate, they had better take my views seriously and stop listening to stupid people like Ken Kuranchie who have NOTHING good to offer anyone in the country but their own notoriety.
If they choose to continue the way they are going, they should not blame anyone the next time, and I will come back to tell them 'I told you so'.
