    The President is the Head of state and represent the state. By pledging their loyalty to him they are simply affirming their loyalty to the state.

    Force him to use an ADC from the military as the other presidents do. Tell him the tradition. Let him know the essence of using a colonel always from the military. Lets Call a spade a spade.

    The service chiefs' loyalty should be pledged to the state of Ghana, not to the president. Presidents come and presidents go but mother Ghana is ever permanent and all-embracing as well as non partisan, unlike the president.

    So it is right for the Service Chiefs to plead allegiance to him. What more the president represents the people being dually elected by them.
