Mr Nyantakyi,
Your efforts in the management of Blackstars is something that deserves an award but your efforts for the Glo Premier league deserves a sack from the GFA.
Please in this day and age, football anywhere is lots of money. The EPL is advertising in Ghana so hoe come GFA cannot advertise? How come GFA cannot add a little entertainment at our stadiums to sell foods, some light beers or drinks, some good-looking waitresses, and some music stars to do some pro bono half time shows to boost the attendance of GPL? All of us at corporate that can sponsor will join in but that is until you add your iota first.
The management of teams must step up or teams that cannot obey simple rules will be relegated. The truth is you have failed on the local front and done great on the international front so please find it in your heart to refocus a little on the local front.
The monies you will realize from the Ghana premiership will far exceed the monies abroad if you do well.
It can be done but must be tackle creatively with 'entertainment' in mind. Let the average 'joe' wanna ran from church to join some fun at a stadium on a weekend.

Nice idea, but you are asking too much from these nincompoops. Even when are able to put that together, they would not be able to account it. Meaning, they will eventually go broke. IN Ghana, no one makes money. They all steal from the Government.
When the whole world was tuning in to GBC to watch the petition for 8 months, the management was complaining that they were losing money and wanted to stop the broadcasting. Could you believe that.
And yet during the lunch break from 12-1pm, they were showing their so called juju movies where you see "bayie" flying on top of roofs. How idiotic could they be. To them, it is not their business to solicit for adverts, but the companies should come to them with their adverts.
30 sec of advert during super bowl costs almost 4 million dollars. This is how they make their money. Unfortunately, in Ghana since the government is there to bail every company out, the management see no reason to make money.
When the world cup was played in US, we saw how they were trying to sell adverts. Even 15 secs, when the ball goes out for a "throw," they will show an advert which fetches them more than 100, 000 US.
So you are right, not only will they make more money during the half time, but also will be promoting artists or song. Many artists use that to promote themselves and so it is not about you paying them to come and sing for you. And then having the chance to give temporarily jobs to the youth during that time.
Over here, you can't take even a bottle water or snack bar to games. You bag is search. If you want to buy coke or bottled water, you have to buy the expensive ones there. All that money goes to NBA or NFL or Baseball club. IN Ghana, someone with connection to the GFA or government will own that and take money from the people while the government struggle to maintain the stadium and clubs.
Idiots.

What is going on here? Is this an issue we have to dwell on? We have a very important task ahead of us, therefore, let us concentrate on that. Whether Essien is here to use the country or not, I think he has the right to do so. When the Black Stars was seen on the World's platform, WC 2006, wasn't Essien included? Wasn't he one of the core players qualified us to our first WC appearance? This man has contributed to the fullest. He had two crucial injuries just because of the love he has for his nation. He has paid his dues and so has the right to use the country to revive his carrier.
If anyone of you has to point a finger, it should be directed to another player instead. If Christopher Opoku, and the rest, can justify Kevin Prince Boateng's obvious opportunistic intention as "OKAY", then I don't think we should condemn Essien here.
Think about the two and tell me who is the using the country to revive his profession.

well spoken on essien. essien has always being a victim of his own achievements. essien has often been envied. i saw how papa boba diop, mikel obi, yaya toure and drogba tackled him in matches and those tackles were approached with some unneccesary vehemence. in angola it was drogba's tackle that took essien out. i saw mikel tackle essien when ghana played nigeria in england it momentarily slowed eesien down. i saw papa diop exerted unnecessary strength in tackling essien when ghana played senegal in england. and i saw toure pursued essien from his blind side to deprive him of a ball from behind in a manner as if essien was looking at toure's wife's breast.
however lovers of essien are more than the haters so no shaky.
i was one of the people who got seriously angry with kevin for his inability to feature in any afcon tournament. however, we are learning that there were so many factors which have not been expressed which led to his inexplicable resignation.
let me tickle your mind a little bit.
have you realised that since 2007, cutting edge players of the blackstars have been suffering from protracted injuries or recuring injuries or fatal mischaps? stephen appiah, john mensah, kwadwo asamoah, anthony annan, sulley muntari, kevin prince boateng, atsu, asamoah djan and now essien has lost the father.
djan resigned was convinced to come back, he came back took the captain's band the next moment lost the mum.
i won't go furher. me i am giving prince my fullest support.
kwesi appiah has employed a certain man-management approach which has resulted in a revolutionary shakeup imn the blackstars of course with some brilliance coming from a certain darra IBRAHIM sani and of course the GFA.

No. Also we read that Essien asked Mourino whether he can join Ghana and Mourino said yes. This info tells you that Essien would never have returned to Black Stars if Mourina had not asked him to do so. This is a sign of unpatriotism. You see we all love our players and our national teams but we do not have to shelve important issues that will help the team and Ghana as a whole.

After all the suffering and pain, Essien deserves better than the flak he's been receiving from fans. Give the guy a break! He's also human like everyone else and this is what Ghanaians must take notice of.
