NPP accepts the SC's verdict because they are democrats but that does not mean that they agree with the verdict.
In fact, there is no need to apologize to anybody. The Deputy Majority Leader must find something better doing with his post rather than creating more division in the country. NDC using state power and outmaneuvering NPP legally does not mean that serious malpractices and irregularities were not committed. Parliament should now take steps to reform the electoral system and the EC rather than waist time on trivial issues before we hit the road to Kigali next time.

Logical as Hon Agbesi's point is, it is simply IRRELEVANT NOW.
Do our politicians understand what they themselves tell us at all? When When President Mahama, Nana Akuffo Addow and many others call the verdict a win for the country and that all must leave the petition behind and put their hands to the wheels to get Ghana back to development, it becomes a sickening spectacle to read and hear others, like Hon. Agbesi raising issues which has the potential of drawing the wheel back.
And it seems like he does not even appreciate the dynamics of the situation. When you have hurt me and I have taken the matter to the elders for settlement, you expect me to come and 'dine' with you on that same issue?
Hon Agbesi, if we want to peace to prevail, we must let by-gones be COMPLETELY by-gone, for the peace with have after this petition is a COMPLETE GIFT FROM GOD, not the making of any human.

Tell me, are we going to use the biometric verification machines in the next elections? If so, why the five judges found no wrong with those who did not go through the devices? If those devices are not useful, why did we spend colossal amount of money to purchase the devices? You see, the judges are human beings and therefore they are susceptible to human foibles.
What about over voting? Is it allowed in our elections? If indeed, there were over votings, why the five judges did not find no wrong with that? What about if such malpractices inadvertently sent NPP to power, we would allow such unpardonable malpractices to go unpunished?
Shockingly, five judges did not find no wrong with those presiding officers who failed to authenticate the pink sheets. If the authentication of the pink sheets by presiding officers is not important, why did we insert such provision in our constitution? Miscarriage of justice indeed! For me, Ghana bank of justice is ostensibly bankrupt. Justice is in effect, scanty in Ghana!

Even where there is dispute, we strive to do our job, and whilst there is litigation, we continue to do our best until otherwise directed.
The attitudes, actions (and inactions) of the opposition in parliament was bad for the country and set a bad precedent which no doubt, other parties might (in my view wrongly) wish to emulate in future were there to be a case. Some have even argued that the NPP MPs' behaviour was in "retaliation" to a similar (but unrelated) action by the NDC MPs during the Kufour administration.
This cannot be right and must stop. The people the MPs should be apologising to are the nation for failing to carry out their duties as elected representatives of We The People".
As to the president, he appears to me to be a very magnanimous individual with a big heart who has 'taken it all in his stride'. Let us hope he and his team can get on with the business of governance and implement the necessary policies and actions to reduce corruption, improved our public sector and emancipate our people.
Education, Health, Good Governance and reducing corruption whilst building a strong and vibrant economy are what we ask of them. Are we going to get it? That is what we should be holding them to account on. from now on.

IT IS VERY VERY SAD AND DISAPPOINTING THAT THE JUDGES OF THE APEX OF LAW APPLICATION BODY(SUPREME COURT) WILL HAVE TO BASED THEIR JUDGEMENT ON WHOEVER PAYS MONEY TO THEM. CLEARLY THEY HAVE DEMONSTRATED THAT IF YOU ARE POOR YOU DON'T DESERVE JUSTICE.
AT THE ELEVENTH HOUR OF ANNOUNCING THE REAL WINNER OF 2012 GENERAL ELECTION, WHEN THE PRESIDENT HAD THE INFORMATION THAT THE JUDGEMENT HAD GONE AGAINST HIM HE SENT HIS AGENTS TO MEET THE AGENTS OF THE JUDGES AND GIVE MILLIONS OF DOLLARS TO THE 'BEGGARS'(JUDGES) TO TURN THE VERDICT IN HIS FAVOR. AFTER RECEIVING THE MONEY THREE OF THE JUDGES REJECTED THE MONEY BUT SIX ACCEPTED WITH CHIEF BRIBE RECEIVER WILLIAM ATUGUBA LEADING THE CREWS TO TAKE THE MONEY.
REASON TO CHANGE 1100 TO 1400
BEFORE THE ARRIVAL OF THE MONEY THERE WAS SERIOUS DELIBERATION GOING ON AS TO HOW TO DECLARE THE VERDICT WITHOUT CAUSING ANY CONFUSION IN THE COUNTRY. ALL THE NINE JUDGES WERE/ARE WELL AWARE AND 100% CONVINCED THAT NANA ADDO DANKWA AKOFO-ADDO WON THE ELECTION WITH VAST MARGIN. BUT BECAUSE OF FEAR OF INTIMIDATION, THREAT, ''MANY WAYS TO KILL A CAT'' FROM RULING GOVERNMENT, THE VERDICT WOULD HAVE TO BE DIVERTED IN FAVOR OF THE LOSER OF THE ELECTION.
THE WAGES OF SIN IS DEATH
NOW I RAIN THESE CURSES UPON THE JUDGES AS WELL AS ALL THOSE INVOLVE IN THE BRIBE AND THEIR DESCENDANTS TO THE 7TH GENERATIONS IF THEY TOOK BRIBE BEFORE JUDGEMENT.
''4But you endure not patiently, nor fulfill the commandments of the Lord; but you transgress and calumniate his greatness; and malignant are the words in your polluted mouths against his Majesty.
5You withered in heart, no peace shall be to you!
6Therefore your days shall you curse, and the years of your lives shall perish; perpetual execration shall be multiplied, and you shall not obtain mercy
I HEREBY INVOKE THE WICKEDNESS AND ATROCITIES FROM AZAZYEL, ZAMYAZA AND Urakabarameel, Akibeel, Tamiel, Ramuel, Danel, Azkeel, Saraknyal, Asael, Armers, Batraal, Anane, Zavebe, Samsaveel, Ertael, Turel, Yomyael, Arazyal TO DEAL TREACHEROUSLY WITH ALL THOSE WHO PAID AS WELL AS THOSE WHO RECEIVED THE BRIBE BEFORE THE DECLARATION OF THE VERDICT. THEY HAVE OPENED THEIR DOORS TO GET YOU IN, BY ACCEPTING BRIBE AND DENY JUSTICE, TO DEAL WITH THEM ALL THE WICKED PLANS YOU RAINED UPON THE PEOPLE ON EARTH WHEN YOU WERE DENIED RETURN TO HEAVEN. TURN ALL YOUR ANGER TO THOSE WHO PAID THE BRIBE AND THOSE WHO RECEIVED IT WITHOUT IGNORING THE MESSENGERS WHO TOOK THE MONEY TO THE JUDGES OR THEIR AGENTS''
MR PRESIDENT JOHN DRAMANI MAHAMA AND YOUR GROUP, JUSTICE WILLIAM ATUGUBA AND YOUR COLLEAGUES IF YOU GOT INVOLVE IN ANY UNFAIR DEALINGS BEFORE JUDGEMENT FINGERS CROSSED AND AWAIT FOR YOUR GENERATIONAL INCURABLE CURSES

If some learned Ghanaians could come to such a low grade verdict quoted on BBC -"THE MISTAKES OF ELECTORAL OFFICERS IN COUNTING BALLOT PAPERS CAN NOT DERAIL DEMOCRACY" makes a mockery of justice in Ghana. Ghanaians scholars should analyse and assess the qualitative and quantitative values of this verdict. To me the SUPREME COURT JUDGES have belittled not ONLY THEMSELVES BUT THE ENTIRE POPULATION OF GHANAIANS. In the U.K. I am not surprised people grin and bare their teeth when we respond we are Ghanaians. NO BRAINS. May be the English Language is too foreign for the judges to know exactly what they say.
Not only Supreme Court judges expose NO BRAINS FACTOR.
THE REVENUE DEPARTMENT PUTS A BRACKET TAX ON MARKET WOMEN WOMEN, TAILORS, ARTISANS irrespective of the size of one enterprise. Example Tailors Tax the same whether One-man tailor sowing rags, repairing used clothes, Tailor Academy, Seamstress,Tailor in a Shop likewise MARKET WOMEN, ARTISANS etc.THIS LACK OF MEASURING DEVICE OR SENSE OF COMPARISON TO EVALUATE ONE'S EARNING AND PAY % TAX IS AKIN TO COURT CASES AND THEIR VERDICTS. THESE IN THE NAME OF OUR CREATOR, WE CALL FOR BETTER LEADERS TO polish THE SYSTEM and nothing else.

Hi Mr Agbesi if you people are lucky for the judgement to go in your favour do not blow your horns. If you are lucky for them to save you people from humilation you should thank your stars rather than to ask for apology. It will be good for you and your team to concerntrate on repairing the damaged economy of our country and stop this unnecessary request of apology from the minority.

there is no need for apology. What the minority did was in line with their petition.By asking them to apologies, means you are not moving forward.
I am afraid this can create an unwanted backlash to the surprise everyone.

How can Agbesi dare to call on the Minority Caucus to apologise to John Mahama. Apologise for what? Destroying the country Ghana and leading it to ruins? Apologising on the part of the Manority Caucus would be a great and humiliating diservice to Ghana and the Constitution that they all swore to uphold. Once again, the late Victor Owusu has been vindicated by his saying that some Ewe people are "inward looking". The whole of Ghana has witnessed the judgement of Dentu and tyhe other Ewe judges in the petition of Akuffo Addo etc. Some Northerners including that useless Atugubah are now making Kwame Nkrumah cringe and cry in his grave for providing free education to the likes of them. The Minority owes Mahama no apology and he would never get one. The Minority lives to "fight" another election in 2016. This will be brutal. Blood will be spilt. We have learned a lesson that we can nevere get Justice from the Courts so, we will make sure that there will be no peace and no stone left ubturned in our desire to win the next election. No Justice, No Peace.

Lets put everything behind us and unite our beloved GHANA to go forward. The election petition issue has helped strengthen our democracy. Many people came out winners. The SC did did a very very good job, DR. AFARI Gyan derives so much praise, for standing on his contitutional righs as the EC, he has no doubt modernised the ELectoral Commision. Nana Addo has also helped strengthened our democracy, president MAHAMA is also a winner not only at 2012 polls but also holding his cool and manoeuvring the Nation through that tough 10 month period. All these people deserve a crown.
But the real winner is GHANA, our beloved nation. We have once proved to Africa that we lead them into independence. And they can still learn from peace ways.

GHANA HAS A HEAP/PILES/TONNES OF PROBLEMS TO TACKLE,but it looks like these NDC PEOPLE,do not even recognize them.
The recognition of the environment GHANA is now, will help a lot,in their bid to solve both the current and future problems.
YES,MAHAMA HAS FINALLY BEEN DECLARED THE PRESIDENT OF GHANA,but we need reforms in what brought him there:EC.
Think about ideas, policies, strategies that could be applied to solve problems GHANA IS ENCOUNTERING.
WE lack THE TECHNICAL SKILLS IN LOTS OF FIELDS needed, and that's why many are still unemployed, yet university graduates.
We have to think of ways to salvage the structure of our educational system,to reflect on problem solving.

This is a stupid move by the NDC. They should know by now that if not for the sham democracy we are practicing the NDC would have been in the minority. The total votes of all NDC MPs in the majority is less than the total votes of all the NPP MPs in the minority. So we have the NDC representing a minority of Ghanaians writing laws for the majority to obey. What a country? This should form part of the reform. Population must be used as the only determinant for the creation of constituencies. When you introduce other factors you corrupt the system since those other factors could be easily manipulated.

If things don't go their way, then the system is wrong. This has been their style since independence. They gave Dr. Nkrumah a hell of time in the same fashion of irresponsible boycotts as if thats the only language they ungerstand in democracy. And their understanding of rule of law is to abuse the law themselves. They'll never be civilised whatever your advice.

On 29/08/23 the supreme court president Justice Atuguba the most corrupted judge in Africa also brought in a very bad judgment to say that Mahama was genuinely elected in 2012 December elections by an error as well. So, can Ghanaians accept Mahama as a real president? Strictly no except fool's in Ghana.

The Deputy Majority leader of Parliament Mr Alfred Agbesi should ask himself,if its normal or Sane for someone or a groups of people who Vow to Challenge a result in Court to put on their occasion best(Suit/Dress) to be present at the event they disagree the result .
Where in this World aside from maybe a Psychiatry Confinement or Society would one see this happened! Therefore, your accusation of the Minority NPP of disrespecting the President and what you request of them is neither here or there.
I find your utterrance to be bombastic,Retrogressive(so far as the petition was concerned),Strange,Cryptic(mysterious) in Sanity, not necessary, uncalled for, waste of parliament time to the detriment of Serious
business, and,Waste of Tax Payers Fund which pays your Salary for that Wasted day etc.
I'm not a lawyer or have I held a law book before in my life. But Could make this arguments because the Law is within Common Sense. The Law is not Outside Common Sense or above Common Sense.
Therefore, the Law is mainly made up of :
1. Common Sense
2.Legal Technicalities ( high keys or tactics )
Now,take it or ignore it . The NPP lost their petition because due processes was Flout (Disregarded) from the beginning.
1.NPP should have swiftly got an injuction Order to refrain EC boss from declaring the result or to Suspend the result declared.
3.Instead they wasted the time at the EC Offices trying to Convince Afari Gyan to heed to their request.
4.Forgetting that the EC boss is not under NPP and therefore would and is not supposed to tolerate or take instructions whatsoever from anyone but Court Order.
5.Or,to refrain EC boss and the Chief Justice to Gazetted Mahamah.Because they disagree Mahamah won the election.
6. Mahamah was gazetted and duly swornsworn in without any legal hindrance or opposition.
8.So it means the NDC legal advisors and maybe EC boss recognize the legal lapse of nothing on recrod to stop them and went ahead .
9.So it stands to reason that the NPP lost the case in advance before the Supreme Court sat to hear the Case.
Unfortunately,NPP was not able to detect in their legal analysis the lapse l'm talking about which might habe maybe influence their decision to abandoned going to Court in the first place.
Thats the intuitive balance and reason I always talk about. It has nothing to do with academic degrees but everything to do with simple Common Sense.
So in my opinion, all what the Court did was just to buy time to throw out the Case which is exactly what happened. If not what stopped Mahamah.New Ministers,Deputies and other govt appointment was going on alright.
So Mahamah should have continued as a care taker president as well as all ministers and official until the outcome of the Court Case.At that level the Supreme Court would have come out with their verdict within 2-3 weeks at most.
The last but not the least. Political parties should .never again agree with the EC that FM stations should desist from announcing result. You see the EC boss knew about the deal.If the FM stations had not been stopped ,the result may have been different.
To be continued.

THIS COMMENT IS BRINGING RATHER TROUBLE. THE BEST WAY IS TO TAKE THEM TO ATUGUBA TO FORCE THE WHOLE NPP AND THE MINORITY TO MARCH TO THE FLAGSTAFF HOUSE TO APOLOGIZE.
ATUGUBA IS RULING THE COUNTRY WITH HIS HENCH MEN/WOMEN.TELL THEM TO COMMAND THE MINORITY AND THE WHOLE NPP TO APOLOGIZE AND THEIR WILL DO WOULD BE DONE PERIOD.

buy time to Seal Mahamah's presidency and to throw out the Case.
Thief mahama can go to hell. He has stolen the Ghana elections, twisted the judges to make a phoney verdict but he CANNOT DECEIVE GOD...THE LONG ARM OF DESTINY WILL CATCH UP WITH HIM AND HIS CRONIES.
SINCERELY, THIS IS BULLSHIT. I HAVE BEEN WONDERING WHETHER THE NDC WOULD HAVE ACCEPTED THE VERDICT OUTRIGHT AND STILL DECIDE NOT TO GO FOR A REVIEW IF THE SUPREME COURT HAD DECLARED NANA AS THE VICTOR.....NONSENSE.
Look majority of Ghanaians voted for Prez Mahama. They the Akan MPs can please themselves even if they wldn't apologize.Rude behaviour wld carry them nowhere.
