WHEN THE HISTORY IS TOLD, IT WILL BE SAID THAT GHANAIANS WERE OFFERED FREE SECONDARY EDUCATION, IMPROVED UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE, SOCIAL HOUSING FOR THE POOR AND AN EGALITARIAN SOCIETY BUT 50% SAID NO THANK YOU. also believing in the rule of law.
The healthy challenge put up by the opposition in the courts has helped to exposed many electoral anomaly
which ought to be corrected or reformed to avoid any further political tensions. Do you therefore see this as time wasting? Ghana is still learning but in a gradual process. There is no short cuts in life. We should all bear in mind that the shortest way home is not always
the quickest. United States had to go to war in order to foster unity whereas United Kingdom also bled
during the Oliver Cromwell's Revolution. But, Ghana has proved the world wrong. We have settled our scores in the courts.

Nimako,can I please disagree with your assertion that this case placed Ghana's name in high esteem. First of all, I want to state categorically Nana Addo had no choice but to take on the thieves in court. My problem is the shameful manner some of the judges and the EC handled the matter.
Tell me how you can be proud of an electoral system where the boss can go and stand in front of the whole world and say when 5 people cast their ballot and you count 8 ballot papers, it is not over voting as long as it's below the number of people who registered. To make matters worse, we have 5 sc judges agreeing with that. You spoke of good governance but that will only be an example of good governance if you place us at the level of animals. Nothing to be proud of I can assure you. I was very worried when the judges started calling people to court for contempt and did not allow them to make any legal arguments to defend themselves. Infact it was seriously frowned upon and the chair of the sc was foaming in the mouth because Atta Akyea had dared to challenge the basis of his clients charges. My fears materialized when majority of these judges decided to ignore blatant evidence or created their own definitions for things that are basically not legal technicalities but common sense. The role of the judges was not to redefine common sense but to make a legal pronouncement after it has been established that certain events have occurred. We all know over voting took place and people voted without biometric verification but somehow the most senior judges have rewarded the thieves. This now places us in a position where afari dyan can come back and run another election. I consider all this a big shame and nothing to be proud of. I however have to say a very big thank you to the judges who behaved with integrity and judged the case with the objectivity and boldness it required. They made me a proud man. The overall result was not good but each can only do his or her part for the nation. Well done to those judges and I sincerely thank you

Note that if Akuffo Addo and Co had asked for a judicial review the Chief Justice would have added 2 SC judges to the panel Mahamahs fate could have been different. After all Atuguba voted to keep the job of his nephew who is an Executive Assistant to President Mahamah. What do you think of that. The major mistake the petitioners made was to allow Atuguba to remain on the panel. I saw this coming. It was in their right to have kicked him out. Lets exercise OBJECTIVITY and not let our political inclinations cloud our behavior.

Bar graphs and empty power points and mislabelling are nonsensical illogicalities we saw with even the NPP "professors" advocating for the annulment of nearly 5 million votes?? Awurade kassa!! It is a common knowledge that NPP is stuffed with lawyers who understand constitutional language. For eight[8] years of Kuffour administration the youth of NPP or the constitutional lawyers did not care to look at the flaws of the constitution vis-a-vis guidelines to elect one to office. All you knew after 2000 elections was 'SANKWAN' and continued to SANKWAN in 2004 and thought you could SANKWAN in '08. The people are criti cising on the basis of NPP woefully letting them down on what they thought NPP know best. Ghana is too small to practise Executive Presidency. If the country stict to that, all ministers should resign their parliamentary seats for bye elections to fill those vacant seats. Afari Gyan should go. Put a good guideline for the appointment and termination of the Chairman of the Electoral Commission.

Any serious law student desiring a law education enrols at the law School and not just reserves a front seat at the law courts. You people have just wasted 8 months of productive time not mention the drain imposed on nation´s economy. As to be expected, you these same people will be hitting town accusing the government of non-performance.

The Law courts are places for litigations and not Law lecture studios.
