Next time there's an election there'll be no need to collect the pink sheets after the election because they're worthless as used toilet paper. The EC need not conduct any elections with the biometric verication devices because people can still vote without it. Finally JUSTICE is done. The Courts have shown maturity this time. On some of the issues that the judges claimed to uphold on the part of the petitioners were never proved beyond reasonable doubt and the evidence they brought to the court was inconclusive upon further analysis. Atuguba was the best head of a panel I have ever seen in Ghana. He showed throughout the trial that he was head and shoulders above the rest of the panel in his understanding of issues and what justice and the rule of law meant. He is far better than the corrupt Chief Justice who intentionally set up a panel made up of seven NPP and two CPP judges to favour the NPP but even some of their own judges turned against them as the evidence was not enough to cancel 4 million votes because of an over vote of 1,2 or double digits. The NDC strongholds will NEVER accept the cancellation of such results and would have been out on the street to fight and therefore the sins of a presiding officer will not be allowed to visit the will of the masses. The masses are more than all of the agents and officers put together at all the controversial stations. This proves the NPP never saw a lawyer before going to court. It is possible that NPP orchestrated these over votes by allowing their agents to collect ballot papers from elsewhere in some of their strongholds and take them to NDC strongholds and give it to other NPP agents there who after verification in these pro NDC will add their ballots from their areas to these ones to create a situation of over voting as they will be putting 2 ballots in at a time instead of one each for the presidential vote. Can the NPP prove that did NOT happen? NO!! These are some of the reasons why the VERDICT should have been 9 - 0. The burden of proof was on the petitioners and they could NOT PROVE beyond REASONABLE DOUBT. Okudzeto is having his sour grapes and bad faith expressions. How can a lawyer in a closing address take 16 boxes of over 200 pages to court? It is only because he knew he had lost the case to Tsatsu's dismantling of his star witness so he tried to do an add-on by introducing issues that were NOT in his affidavit and petition altogether and in the end no one could make sense of his address as he spoke since he was giving a communist or socialist speech which will take 8 hours to complete. A whole first year university lecture!Can he remember he told AFARI DJAN that he was not here to give lectures and the judges over ruled his objection? That should have told him the judges were happy to be educated on elections as they needed all of that to make up the case since Bawumia said "you and I were not there " and also the judges were not there either! Tsatsu has killed the elephant and you can now take that to court and charge Tsikata with murder, cruelty to wild animals and poaching of elephants.

Former New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Asokwa, Maxwell Kofi Jumah, says there is a "miscarriage of justice" in the Supreme Court ruling which dismissed the presidential election petition filed by his party.

The petition was filed by the NPP 2012 presidential candidate, Nana Akufo-Addo, his running mate Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and party chairman, Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey to challenge the legitimacy of President John Mahama.

After 48 days of hearing, the Supreme Court presided over by nine panel of judges on August 29, 2013 affirmed John Mahama a validly elected president in the 2012 election.

The petitioners though disappointed with the verdict accepted it and have said they won’t seek for a review.

But Kofi Jumah on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme said he is saddened by the Supreme Court ruling.

The reforms that is bound to accompany the 2014 poles will not be because of this court case which has been nothing but time wasting and a drain on the national economy.

The Supreme Court decision forms bases of the vice presidents´s observations. Okudzeto is only, as usual, trying to make himself relevant by this useless criticism he is now directing at the vice president. Are these people not the same who claim to be apostles of free speach? I find it rather disappointing that the ruling did not include charges against the petitioners.

The petition was indeed useless and complete waste of every body´s time and a drain on the national economy.

If failure to sign the pink sheets by temporary officers such as presiding officers at polling stations should be enough reason to annul valid votes cast during elections, then it means they can by their advertent or deliberate actions determine who can be president other than the one the voters voted for. I don't support the NPP or the NDC because they're simply both sides of the same coin joined by the hip to wreck economic, social, and political havoc on our long-suffering compatriots. But any objective person--including majority of NPP supporters who unfortunately have allowed themselves to be cowed into silence by the rabid few--would've foreseen the verdict. The wonder was why the Supreme Court entertained the case in the first place.

Gone are the days when Law was studied by the so called privileged few. Now Law, like Mathematics, is studied in almost all disciplines. Ghanaians are wiser.

Now is the time for the Security Agencies to be on their toes to nip in the bud any destabilization these "children of bomb throwers" must be planning. They should take the warning given by "Tarzan" very seriously. These nation wreckers will do everything and anything including bringing the nation to its knees to come to power.
