Jade, why quarrel with Ghanaweb? Are they lies in there? If you are embarrassed that is good. Now let's act to reduce the unnecessary costs! But remember this piece is also a free tourism advert for Ghana!

You think anybody learns. No, we don't. If you think any man in authority will do anything about the cost of funerals in Ghana, think again. They would have set an example when our President died. The cost of funerals will escalate so long as the next funeral seeks to outdo the previous one. A people with misplaced priorities.

The decision to establish a new way of conducting funeral service by its members shows how reliable the Jehovah Witnesses are. When a person dies arrangement will be made to burry the person as soon as possible. No liquor or any alcoholic drink will be served but rather resolve to water. After they return from the cemetery they console the deceased family for a while and sooner depart to their various homes.
The only expenses to be incurred are the chairs for the attendees, the coffin and water. Marvellously, this measure has released much burden from its members when funeral is concern. Wise Choice indeed!

Nana Kesse had the largest penis he had ever seen!
"I'm sorry Mr Nana Kesse," the mortician commented, "I can't allow you to be cremated with such an impressive private part. It must be saved for posterity."
So, he removed it, stuffed it into his briefcase, and took it home.
"I have something to show you won't believe," he said to his wife, opening his briefcase.
"My Goodness!" the wife exclaimed, "Nana Kesse is dead!"

ONLY CONCRETE SUGGESTIONS, please!

Unecessary excessive expenditure. If the person had been alive and needed help in many instances he or she would not have received it . Now that the person is dead and gone unnecessary lavish expenditure is made. No one is saying that our loved ones should not be given a befitting funeral , however let us try and minimize our expenses to the barest minimum. That is my opinion especially in these era of economic crises we are living in.

Yet Jesus Christ we worship, healed the sick, the infirm, the needy and freed them from their pains and wants with all that He had. Christians let the sick suffer the pain and keep their money until the sick dies then invite friends to sympathise. They borrow and spend the money on the corpse instead. Warped - minded Christians and I am ashamed to be a Christian. I am defecting. Anyone else?
