  In my opinion and from experience, is cheaper to train personals in Ghana on newly acquired equipment than origin of manufacturer's country. Is a good decision.

  On Tuesday, August 20, 2013,I heard on one of the FM stations that some passengers on the Accra-Kumasi road called to inform the FM Station that they spotted the said tanker with the Chinese officer. Soon after the newsflash, one of the Military heads called to clarify the issue as stated by the daily graphic publication today.
  
  I am suprised to read that the 'Daily Searchlight' published on Wednesday, August 21, 2013, such a news. What prevented Ken Kurranchied from contacting the GAF to verify the new or information before his publication? What was his motive for this publication? After all what is wrong for the GAF (if Ken's falacy is true) from asking the Chinese to come and assist in the case of riot after the judgment. We saw BNI under Kuffour importing Scotlan Yard intelligence to come and help his government unravel the alleged killing of women. We also have the FBI in the country now helping with the alleged arsons in our markets. So what is wrong Ken even if the Chinese are here "in anticipation of the Supreme Court’s verdict on August, 29?" Please, give us a break.

Manning tanks in anticipation of disturbances after the verdict by imported foreigners is in itself a crime against the people of Ghana. You can't beat us so bring in persons you know don't give a hoot about us to do the 'nasty' on us. I hope and believe the army's reason and excuse is true if not, we should be bracing ourselves for a war against foreign invaders.

Has the Chinese told us that they have a problem with the elections and have they called for a rerun as U.S. and Britain has ordered in Zimbabwe. People who do not know the difference between tanks and APC should not discus military equipment on the web. Ghanaians why all these absurdity.

  It is very true that the APCs are only for trials. i must however add that, the APCs are very sub standard and a waste of the tax payers money. for whatever reasons, the high command of the military are buying most of their equipment from china. Whilst there are good equipment available on the Chinese market the military has over the years purchased cheaper ones with lifespan lasting less than five years. It is very difficult to understand why they are doing this to Ghanaians. the vehicles Gen Acheampong bought so many years ago are still functioning very very well yet Chinese vehicles (Dongfeng) brought into the system in 2003 has all disappeared because they where inferior. They keep replacing vehicles instead of adding up. They are draining the economy. it is high time military officer with the right capability are given the jobs to perform. Bravo to the Police high command. today, the police are buying good quality vehicles that are tried and tested. At least, the Nissan Navaras, the Tunrdas, the Tacomas, the land Cruisers are vehicles that has stood the test of time. the Armed forces which should know better should shamlessily continue to buy the Mahindras, the LandWind, the Dongfeng, Defac and those awful APCs.
